The fight was stopped and the winner has not been revealed but it seems Kurks had a small advantage.

About 4000 Gijon fans made the trip for this game, which was classified as high-risks.
A confrontation opposed local Celtarras to Ultra Boys.
A few arrests were made.

Prior to the game, local fans called Liberes y Lokos waited for their rivals from Pumas.
A fight, with missiles, erupted when coaches of Pumas supporters arrived in Monterrey.
Four Pumas fans were injured and police forces cannot restored order.

After the match, a mini-bus with Steaua fans was attacked by local fans. When Steaua came down to have a fight, local fans run away.

Nobody was injured and one window of mini-bus was broken.

VIENNA: Euro 2008 organisers have asked countries to try to impose travel bans on hooligans to stop troublemakers reaching June's tournament in Austria and Switzerland, Austria's interior minister said on Monday.

Austria, a member of the Schengen area where people travel without showing passports, will carry out only a limited monitoring of its borders during the event.

"We aim to survey the Schengen border temporarily at selected points but it makes no sense for us to survey the whole border or our other border crossings 24 hours a day," Austrian Interior Minister Guenther Platter said.

"There is just not going to be complete control during the whole tournament," he told a news conference.

Switzerland is not yet in the borderless Schengen area but is scheduled to join in October or November.

Some two million foreign fans are expected to descend on joint hosts Austria and Switzerland for Euro 2008, which will run from June 7 to 29. UEFA is expecting around six million fans in total.

POTENTIAL TROUBLEMAKERS

Platter said officials had been focusing on measures that countries could take to prevent hooligans travelling, such as travel bans and research to pinpoint potential troublemakers.

"We are very interested in taking preventative measures," he said, adding that Euro 2008 could learn from Germany's example in preparing for the 2006 World Cup.

As well as tightening border controls before the tournament, Germany arrested around 9,000 troublemakers out of some one million foreign visitors to the World Cup.

Germany, whose handling of the World Cup was widely deemed a success, will be providing 850 officers to help police Euro 2008, German Interior State Secretary Christoph Bergner said.

Border security would be strengthened, he said.

"There will be temporary controls along the German side ... But we have other ways to deal with potentially violent hooligans from Germany," he said, adding that preventative measures were key to a peaceful tournament.

Platter said 99 percent of Euro 2008 visitors would be peaceful football fans but that a small minority of "hooligans and radicals" must be taken seriously. Austria will have 27,000 police officers on duty and some 2,200 on standby, he said.

ARREST UPDATE: STOKE FANS ARRESTED

Seven Stoke City supporters were arrested ahead of the club's match against Sheffield Wednesday.

They were arrested in Sheffield by South Yorkshire Police around 2.15pm, on Saturday, after an incident on a tram, which resulted in a tram window being smashed.

Five of them were arrested for public order offences, while one was arrested for being in possession of controlled drugs and another was wanted on warrant.

It is not yet known whether they have been charged but further investigations are being carried out and CCTV footage taken from the tram is being viewed by police.

A group of around 70 supporters were segregated in the Hillsborough area of the city while officers separated the offenders from the group.

Around 30 other football fans, including some Stoke City supporters, were led away from the area and refused entry to Sheffield Wednesday's ground.

There were than 3,000 Potters fans at the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

A good Metz mob of about 150 lads in Nancy came by train. 2 buses in Nancy were destroyed. Cops used cs-gas. At the stadium Metz lads charged the gates and everybody entered without paying. Nancy lads didn't fight with us, pity.

About 16 hours group of about 70 Zeljeznicar's supporters known as "The Maniacs" have in silence came to town,and in corteo by main streets of town came to center where were host team supporters "Fukare". Group of 70 maniacs,mostly younger group attacked host supporters,and host supporters have run away from their center of town
"The Maniacs" have supprised police,and complete city,and with this action showed that they are best group in Bosnia. After attack,massive special forces of police came and circled "The Maniacs". In fight with police,some supporters are hurted and one cop finished with broken leg. After that police decieded to not let "The Maniacs" on stadium,and with strong forces followed them to Sarajevo.
