Horror moment ‘disabled’ Brighton & Hove Albion fan lies on ground in agony after being ‘tackled by French riot cop’ - 06/10/2023
Source : https://www.thesun.co.uk/
SHOCKING footage shows a Brighton fan on the floor in agony after he was allegedly pushed to the ground by a French cop.
Fans heading to the south of France had been warned they would be held up for at least 45 minutes for safety reasons.
But furious football lovers complained they were kept back for at least two hours with no water offered.
Supporters stuck in crowds claimed on social media some people fainted due to dehydration.
Footage shows the man on his side on the floor as other fans appear to argue with security guards and police wearing protective vests and holding shields.
The man was left with no medical attention for 20 minutes.
One fan can be heard telling the officers to call an ambulance while another shouts: "This is your fault."
Over 1,000 fans held back for over 3 hours after KO with no water.

CELTIC ultras unveiled banners as they showed common cause with Palestinian militants amid the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
Israeli air attacks have been launched on Gaza after a surprise Hamas offensive against Israel which killed at least 40.
Parkhead followers have often expressed support for the Palestinian cause.
And they did so again ahead of today's clash with Kilmarnock at Parkhead.
They unfurled banners which read: "Free Palestine".
"Victory to the resistance".

Celtic FC condemn Green Brigade ultras for pro-Hamas banners celebrating terror attacks - 09/10/2023
Source : https://www.scottishdailyexpress.co.uk/
Celtic FC have condemned banners unveiled by leading fan group the Green Brigade on Saturday. The North Curve section of Celtic Park was draped with the display prior to the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock.
The banners said, ‘Free Palestine’ and ‘Victory To The Resistance’’, amid scores of Palestine flags in a move that drew the ire of former player and Israeli Nir Bitton on social media. Now, the Parkhead club have issued a statement.
Celtic say political messages and banners are 'not welcome' and that it is 'inappropriate' for the stadium to be used for such messaging. A club statement read: "Banners displayed in a section of Celtic Park prior to Saturday's game do not represent the views of Celtic Football Club and we disassociate ourselves from them. We condemn the display of such messages at Celtic Park.
"Celtic is a football club and not a political organisation. One of our core values from inception is to be open to all regardless of race, colour, politics or creed. That is why the Club has always made clear that political messages and banners are not welcome at Celtic Park, or any match involving Celtic.
The Green Brigade have shown their public backing for Palestine for a number of years and were fined by UEFA for flying anti-Israel banners in the Champions League qualifier against Hapoel Beer Sheva in 2016.

Rennes condemn Spanish police forces’ behavior towards their supporters in Villarreal
Rennes have released a club statement condemning the handling of their supporters by Spanish police forces on Thursday.
Stade Rennais played Villarreal away at La Ceramica for the second matchday of the Europa League’s Group F. Bruno Genesio’s team were handed their first defeat of the season with Sweden international Alexander Sorloth scoring the only goal of the game. Martin Terrier missed a penalty in injury time for his return.
Before the game, video footage emerged on social media showing several incidents involving Rennes supporters and Spanish police forces. The Ligue 1 side did not let this slide and mentioned they had gathered numerous testimonies as well as findings from the security teams on scene. Several Rennes-based reporters who covered the game added that police forces intentionally created a climate of tension. “Stade Rennais FC express outrage regarding the handling of their supporters before and during the game between Stade Rennais and Villarreal CF“, the statement reads.
It was reported that nearly 1,000 Rennes fans traveled to Spain to watch their favorite team. Unfortunately, the Spanish police forces seem to have ruined the party for too many of them, mostly during the Rennes fans’ gathering near La Ceramica. “The atmosphere was particularly festive and good-natured, without any form of aggression. Despite this, from 6:30 pm to 9:45 pm, the Rouge et Noir community was confronted with brutal and intimidating behavior from certain police forces.”
