Before the match, 30 Linz fans confronted 50 Lustenau fans on the Donaulände in Linz. One of the supporters even fell into the waters of the Danube.

After the match, another fight took place between 50 fans in total.

Note the presence of German supporters of FC Augsburg, friends of those of Austria Lustenau. One person involved was arrested for resisting an officer. The identities of the protagonists have been noted.

Tear gas - hooligan brawl in Linz
Before the match between Blau Weiß Linz and Austria Lustenau, there were wild scenes in the Donaulände on Saturday.


At 3.45pm, the atmosphere became hectic on the Linzer Donaulände on Saturday. Dozens of officers armed with heavy equipment suddenly ran from Linz's new railway bridge towards the bank in front of Linz's Donaupark stadium. "Faster, faster", commanded the person in charge of operations. According to eyewitnesses, a few moments earlier, two groups of hooligans had attacked each other.

The police used tear gas and reports rained down: "One person has been arrested", the police press service told "Today".

"The two groups probably arranged to meet," the police continued. One person was taken to hospital with facial injuries. During the match everything remained calm, but after the match there was another incident. "Four people from Augsburg were arrested and around 50 people were reported."

Austria Lustenau fans maintain a friendship of FC Augsburg supporters, and German fans often travel to Vorarlberg derbies. FC Blau Weiß Linz, meanwhile, have maintained a friendship with Jahn Regensburg for many years. Rumour has it that hooligans from Regensburg were also involved in the conflict.

Olympiacos' fierce derby with Panathinaikos is abandoned after a player is struck by a FIREWORK while warming up on the touchline - as his team-mates refuse to return from the dressing room to finish the clash

Olympiacos' Greek Super League clash against Panathinaikos was abandoned on Sunday after a player was struck by a firework.

The two Greek outfits, who have long been bitter and fierce rivals, were tied at 1-1 before the match was called off early in the second half.

Five minutes after the break, Panathinaikos substitute Juankar began warming up on the touchline and was struck by a firework thrown from the crowd.

The incident occurred shortly after the hosts had equalised.  

He fell to the floor on the edge of the pitch and was quickly checked on by his team-mates, before play was suspended for approximately an hour as players left the field down the tunnel.

The decision to abandon the match was relayed to fans via a tannoy announcement at around 9.30pm local time.

Cattolica ultras attack Del Duca players in their changing room

A bad episode immediately after the match between Cattolica and Del Duca , a Promozione Emiliana match. The match ended 3-2 in favour of the guests thanks to a penalty taken by Ferrari in the 95th minute, but what happened was unbelievable.

According to reports in the local press, some Del Duca players were attacked by Cattolica fans. The dynamics of the episode have yet to be understood, but at the end of the match, the Giallorossi ultras allegedly managed to get close to the visiting team's dressing room and make contact with the Del Duca players. The outcry erupted at the end of a thrilling match, decided only in the eight minutes of added time allowed by the referee.

Del Duca's players were attacked while taking a shower. There appear to be no photos or videos of the raid because "when a manager was about to film, one of the fans slammed his phone to the ground".

There appear to be a total of three minor injuries among Del Duca's players and staff . The visiting team was escorted to the motorway toll booth by carabinieri patrols and was able to resume its return journey in complete safety.

Cattolica, through its official channels, took a stance on the incident: "The Cattolica Calcio 1923 club strongly condemns what happened today at the end of the match against Del Duca Grama and offers its greatest solidarity and sincere apologies to its directors and members and hopes that the police will be able to identify those responsible for these acts, which have nothing to do with the sporting spirit of the Cattolica public".

A historic rivalry and a wound, sporting or otherwise, that has little chance of healing. The match between Catania and Taranto was circled in red in the fixture list because of the possibility of clashes between the two supporters. Yesterday, near the Stadio Angelo Massimino, there was a real manhunt before and after the match, which the team from Etna won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Samuele Di Carmine. Dozens of ultras, dressed in black, their faces partially covered and armed with belts and truncheons, patrolled certain streets around the stadium: from via Passo Gravina to via Milo, via viale Andrea Doria along the ring road. However, those taking part in the motorbike procession - many with number plates covered with pieces of cloth and insulating tape - and in the concentration in the prison area were unable to make contact with the few supporters who had arrived from Puglia.

Incidents broke out between police and 200 Dutch hooligans, with the police using tear gas to disperse very mobile supporters in the face of projectiles and smoke bombs. Escorted from Place du Cantin, where a “fanzone” is organized on the evenings of Champions League matches in Lens, they left the police procession by taking rue Victor Hugo.

PSG-AC Milan: security tightened, Napoli fans expected at Parc des Princes
Around 2,000 Milan fans are expected in Paris to watch the Champions League match between AC Milan and the French capital.

PSG-AC Milan under increased surveillance. The Champions League match between Paris and Milan on Wednesday evening (9pm) will be particularly closely watched by the police. The capital club will be playing its first European match at home since the Vigipirate system was upgraded to "emergency attack" following the knife attack at a secondary school in Arras (Pas-de-Calais).

The Préfecture de Police, which is responsible for securing the area around the Parc des Princes, has announced that "the security arrangements have been adapted to this type of match and have been stepped up due to the risk of terrorism". According to L'Equipe, around 500 members of the police force will be assigned to provide security for this match, where around 2,000 Italian fans are expected to be on hand to support Mike Maignan and his team-mates.

But AC Milan supporters are not the only ones making the trip from Italy. Napoli fans are expected at the Parc des Princes, and more specifically in the Auteuil section. The K-Soce Team, a member group of the Collectif Ultras Paris, have invited members of Curva B. The two groups of supporters have a long-standing friendship, and the Parisians visited the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, then known as the San Paolo, in 2018.

The antagonism between the Lombards and the Neapolitans, who face each other in the league on Sunday, is of greater concern to the police. They will be monitoring any gatherings in the capital in the hours leading up to kick-off.
