Australia: Western Sydney Wanderers - FC Sydney - 24/10/2015

Source : http://www.sbs.com.au/

'Violent' soccer fans arrested in Sydney

Three people have been charged after a brawl involving more than 60 Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC supporters on Saturday night.

A brawl involving more than 60 people was among a string of violent incidents, including smoke bombs being set off and bottles being thrown, at an A-League soccer match in Sydney.

Three people were charged, two were issued banning notices, and 18 people were removed during a game between the Western Sydney Wanderers and Sydney FC at Allianz Stadium on Saturday night.

NSW Police Acting Assistant Commissioner Tony Crandell says violent and anti-social behaviour was rife at the match.

"Last night the safety of the public, staff, and police were put at risk by people who have no respect for the sport," he said in a statement.

"It is evident that some supporters came prepared to cause injury and ruin the night for others."

Police allege the violence began even before the game started when a brawl broke out between up to 60 Western Sydney Wanderers supporters and a group of Sydney FC fans outside the stadium.

Police on horseback were called in and officers used capsicum spray to break up the fight, which lasted about 10 minutes.

A number of large bolts, which officers allege were to be used as missiles, as well as a hammer and a flare were found nearby.

Officers also had to break up two separate fights both during and after the game.

Twelve flares were set off during a march to the stadium, and nine more flares and four smoke bombs were ignited inside the stadium.

One man is facing charges after allegedly throwing a bottle, and another man is facing one charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

A woman was arrested for running onto the pitch, and others also had to be removed after entering the playing area.

Damage was caused to about 50 seats and a number of railings at the stadium.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage and more charges could be laid.

QPR - MK Dons - 24/10/2015

Source : http://www.onemk.co.uk/

Seven people arrested after fight among MK Dons fans in their match against QPR

The Metropolitan Police have now confirmed seven people were arrested and they are now investigating the matter.

A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "Officers from Hammersmith and Fulham are investigating following a disturbance during the QPR versus MK Dons football match at Loftus Road on Saturday, 24 October.

"At approximately 16.30, a disturbance broke out and seven people were arrested on suspicion of a variety of offences. They remain in custody at a west London police station.

"One man was taken to hospital with facial injuries. Officers will be liaising with the Football Association and QPR in due course. Those arrested were visiting fans."

Speaking after the game, MK Dons boss Karl Robinson said: “It’s not something we’re used to seeing but if I comment on that, you’d be disappointed if I wasn’t concentrating on the game.

“I saw police, but if we’ve done something wrong, we’ll deal with it internally.

“People should be able to come to a football match with kids and family and watch safely. I’d only be guessing and labelling people.”

Sunderland AFC - Newcastle United - 25/10/2015

Source : http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/

Ten arrests but police praise Newcastle and Sunderland fans for 'derby to be proud of'

Northumbria Police said ten arrests were made at the Stadium of Light as Sunderland won 3-0, their sixth victory in succession over their biggest rivals.

Since the famous “horse punch” violence of April 2013, derbies have passed off relatively peacefully and Northumbria Police said today’s (Sunday, October 25) Wear-Tyne derby followed suit.

Some spectators ran onto the pitch to celebrate with the players after Steven Fletcher’s 87th minute volley sealed the win but a police spokesman said there were “very few arrests and a small amount of disorder”.

Match commander Chief Superintendent Steve Neill said the vast majority of fans behaved impeccably and praised the clubs for their preparations and his officers for their professionalism.

“The fans have again shown today why the Wear-Tyne derby is up there with the best in the country.

"It has been a day filled with passion but it has lost the poison that has been associated with this game in the past - that is a testament to football fans across the North-East.”

Ten people were arrested for offences of affray, possession of alcohol, drugs or fireworks or flares or being drunk or throwing missiles at sports ground and going onto the pitch during the match.

But Chief Supt Neill said: “Ten arrests out of a crowd of nearly 50,000 is extremely low and I’m pleased that the fans who attended today were clearly there to support their team and not interested in causing trouble.”

The police escort to the ground for visiting fans seen in previous years was dropped and pubs and clubs asked not to serve alcohol before 9am ahead of the televised noon kick-off.    
Police had also sent a warning to anyone causing bother inside the ground about Sunderland’s new state-of-the-art CCTV technology that earlier this week led to three Newcastle fans being given football banning orders for trouble during the last Stadium of Light clash.

Cyprus : AEL Limasol - Aris FC - 25/10/2015

Source : http://in-cyprus.com/

Arrested football fans to appear in court

Around 15 supporters of Limassol football club AEL are set to appear before a magistrate on Monday morning after they were reportedly involved in a scuffle outside the Tsirio Stadium before their team’s game against Aris on Sunday evening.

Police say that they received a call that around 30 fans – wearing hoods – were attempting to force their way into the ground without tickets and that stewards and security officials were struggling to keep them at bay. A scuffle ensued before Riot Police (MMAD) officers arrived at the scene and around placed 15 fans under arrest.

They are expected to appear at the Limassol District Court on Monday morning where Limassol CID investigators will request to keep them in remand as they continue to investigate them over charges of affray, rioting and violence at a sports ground.

AEL – who recently sacked coach Christakis Christoforou following a run of poor results – lost the game 2-1.

Sporting Kalsa - FC United of Manchester - FA Cup - 24/10/2015

Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/

FA Cup match between FC United of Manchester and Sporting Khalsa marred by violence from supporters

This is the shocking moment violence erupted at an FA Cup match - when hooligans started a riot by throwing a flare and a BIN.

Stewards struggled to contain a group of hooded thugs as they threw missiles and punches at FC United of Manchester supporters who had travelled to play Sporting Khalsa in Willenhallon on Saturday.

Dramatic footage taken before kick-off caught the moment yobs threw water at away fans standing behind a wall of half a dozen stewards.

One youth jumps in the air and spits over the cordon before the hooligans pick up a plastic bin and launch it into the crowd as rival fans starting chanting obscenities.

They are also seen rushing past the stewards to start raining punches down on the FC United fans before a flare is thrown onto the pitch.

FC United fans can then be heard singing: 'Come back when your balls have dropped' to the young thugs.

The disturbing 2 minute, 34 second video was filmed moments before kick-off at Sporting Khalsa's Asprey Arena, which is famous for having a curry house attached to the club.

But despite the ugly scenes the game went ahead and United won 3-1, earning themselves a place in the first round proper of the competition.

Trouble then spilled onto the streets after the full-time whistle and police officers with batons drawn had to protect away fans from rioters as they boarded their coach.

On Monday, fans said the troublemakers are believed to be from the Wolves Youth hooligan firm who support Championship club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

One fan who made the trip said: 'It was like a return to the dark old days of the 1980s. I was there with my two boys who were absolutely terrified.

'The trouble broke out on the terraces in the far corner of the ground. We would have left right there and then but we were trapped in with our own fans.

'We kept right to the back but there were hardly any stewards and for a minutes I was really worried for our safety.

'Thankfully, at the end of the match the police were out in force and we managed to get safely on the away coach.

'That's the last time I'm taking my kids with me to a game. They were in bits.'

Non-league minnows Sporting Khalsa, who play in the Midland League, England's ninth tier, were the lowest ranked team in the FA Cup before they lost to FC United.

A Sporting Khalsa spokesman said: 'We're conscious of the fact that a small number of local troublemakers seemed determined to spoil the day for everyone.

'We're pretty confident these people had to look up 'Noose Lane' on the school computer during the week in order to find us.

'Let's be absolutely crystal clear, these people are nothing to do with Sporting Khalsa, they're nothing to do with non-league football and are sadly just something society has to tolerate, whether we like it or not.

'We've co-operated with our friends at the police, they're happy with the arrangements we put in place and will continue to co-operate.

'We desperately hope the actions of a few idiots didn't take any enjoyment from FC United or any of the neutrals.'

West Midlands Police confirmed no arrests had been made as a result of the violence.

A spokesperson added: 'Names and addresses were taken but no investigation has been launched at this stage.'

Ukrainian football executive considers segregating black and white fans ‘to avoid racism’ - 27/10/2015

Source : https://www.washingtonpost.com

The director of the Olimpiyskiy stadium where the Ukrainian soccer club Dynamo Kyiv plays would like to make racism a non-factor at games, but one of the ideas he said he’s willing to consider sounds like it might actually make the problem even worse. He’s considering segregating the stands.

“We are trying, maybe, to make a separate sector for black fans in order to avoid racism,” Volodimir Spilchenko said, while being interviewed in the aftermath of last week’s attacks on four black fans in the stands during the team’s 0-0 Champions League draw against Chelsea.

Spilchenko didn’t come up with the idea on his own, but didn’t at all eschew it after it was suggested by the reporter.

Spilchenko called it a “good idea” and said, “We’ll probably listen to your offer.”

As word of Spilchenko’s seemingly serious consideration of this idea got out, ridicule poured in, especially on the social media sharing Web site Reddit, where Spilchenko spurred comments such as, “Jim Crowyenko,” “What is this, the 1960s?” and “Perhaps UEFA could avoid racism by separating Kiev from European football.”

The events of last week have not gone unnoticed by European soccer’s governing body. On Thursday, UEFA opened disciplinary hearings into the matter after video of the attack, which can be seen in the above report, was passed on by the anti-discrimination network FARE to UEFA.

“This terrible incident reflects many of the continuing realities of football in central and eastern Europe,” Fare executive director Piara Powar told the Guardian. “A report has been made to UEFA, who have regulatory responsibility for the match, and we will be lobbying for the strongest sanctions.”

UEFA is expected to make its decision on Tuesday.

Kyiv Dynamo previously was found guilty of racism toward Everton players in March.

England : Rival fans clash at Preston train station - 31/10/2015

Source : http://www.lep.co.uk/

Police were called out in force after rival gangs of football fans clashed on Preston railway station.

The flashpoint came as Bolton, Blackpool and Leeds fans all arrived at the station at around 8.30pm last night.

British Transport Police officers and Lancashire Constabulary officers separated chanting and shouting gangs. Scuffles broke out in and around the platforms.

Lisa Bower was on her way back to Cleveleys with her eight-year-old son when she was caught up the “terrifying” confrontation.

She said: “I’ve never see anything like it. The front of the station was overrun and there was a line of police and dogs trying to hold them off the platform but a fair few were breaking through.

“Preston station tannoy told us the platform had changed so we had to move trains, and then the police came and started physically pushing people back on the train.

“We left about twenty minutes late in the end.”

Preston police later tweeted that its officers had faced violence “with professionalism and courage. Great team effort.”

They told the public: “If you were caught up in the disorder, hope you got home safe, and thanks for being patient.”

A Lancashire police spokesman said the incident was caused by rival football supporters arriving at the station at the same time.

No arrests were made.

France : SCO Angers - Guingamp - 24/10/2015

Source : Mail

40 Guingamp lads including 5 of their Rennes friends took place inside a pub out of the city centre to avoid any police presence.
We proposed several things but they refused so we charged them close to the stadium (about fifty).
Both sides clashed before a second charge and finally Angers lads ran away.
