Man charged after Hibs and Aberdeen fans ‘fight’ in Glasgow in shock scenes ahead of cup clash

The Easter Road men and the Dons met at the national stadium on Saturday evening with Aberdeen booking their place in the first showpiece final of the Scottish football season.

Before things got underway at Hampden, trouble appeared to flare in Glasgow city centre in the hours leading up to the game.

A video widely shared on social media allegedly shows two groups who aren't displaying football colours coming to blows in close proximity to Glasgow Central station.

The alleged clashes begin on the corner of Argyle Street and Hope Street, with Radisson Blue hotel and Motel One in the background.

COPS have arrested and charged a man after Hibs and Aberdeen fans reportedly clashed in an alleged disturbance ahead of the Viaplay Cup semi-final at Hampden.

Police raced to the scene and confirmed that a man was taken to hospital.

Brawl breaks out on Copacabana Beach between rival Boca Juniors and Fluminense fans ahead of Copa Libertadores final, with Argentine fan 'arrested for throwing bottles at police'



Boca Juniors and Fluminense supporters clashed on the beach in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday which saw a fight break out featuring dozens of people.

A Boca Juniors fan has reportedly been arrested and accused of throwing bottles at police after Copacabana Beach played host to a brawl between two sets of fans.

According to Ioda Valley News, the atmosphere at the beach, being used as a 'fan zone', was friendly before the altercation, with police having to get involved.

Another Boca fan was reportedly arrested for kicking a dog and trying to attack another man.

Police had to intervene and use rubber bullets.

Violent clashes in Rio de Janeiro continue as police fire at Fluminense ultras ahead of Libertadores final showdown with Boca Juniors



Fluminense ultras clashed with police in Rio de Janeiro ahead of the Libertadores showdown with Boca Juniors.

The final of South American club football's premier competition is set to be played at 8pm Saturday night GMT, at the iconic Maracana stadium.

Tension have been rising in the build-up to the match and violent clashes continued hours before kick-off.  

Videos of the incident, which took place in streets close to the Stadium, have emerged and it appeared to show police firing at Fluminense ultras.

The clash required police to wear full riot gear as they were attacked by the ultras who were not sighted in the footage.

Police then formed two lines as they fired back, with other Fluminense fans seen running back to safety and covering their noses.

The latest incident comes after armed police fired rubber bullets and threw tear gas at Boca Juniors fans on Copacabana beach on Thursday.

Despite Fluminense being Rio-based, there has been a huge influx of Boca fans with some 100,000 Xeneize supporters overrunning the Brazilian city in the build-up to the clash, hoping to see their side win a seventh Copa Libertadores title.

CONMEBOL themselves - the governing body for South American football - released a statement condemning the violence between fan groups, as well as issuing a call for supporters to 'share together the moments of joy and celebration'.

A police officer was hit by a glass bottle and ended up in the emergency room.

Serious clashes in Porto before the reception of Antwerp

As the Nieuwsblad indicates, serious disturbances took place this Monday evening between the Antwerp Ultras and the Porto fans. Great Old fans also saw riot police intervene.

Following the sad events that took place during the first leg, the Porto Ultras promised that they would take revenge. As early as Sunday, rumors were reporting attacks on Antwerp fans in the center of Porto.

This Monday, Antwerp Ultras fought with Portuguese fans. The police had to intervene and made arrests. The Portuguese press reports three hundred hooligans from Antwerp, who allegedly set things on fire.

Remember that Antwerp was supposed to have 2,500 fans in Porto. But that this figure would be higher, following the purchase of tickets in the local stands. Le Nieuwsblad reveals that at least 3,500 Antwerp fans would be present for the match. Hopefully it will be calmer this Tuesday, before, during, and after the match...

A PSG supporter stabbed in Milan after an Ultras attack!



A few hours before the game between AC Milan and PSG, incidents cast a dark veil over the match. Indeed, as Corriere della Sera reveals, major incidents took place late Monday evening. The cause was a real ambush set up by members of Curva Sud, with around fifty Milanese Ultras who attacked Parisian supporters who had traveled to Lombardy.

Wearing helmets, iron bars, smoke bombs, firecrackers and knives,  these Milanese Ultras attacked the Parisian supporters present shortly after midnight. “Scenes of guerrilla warfare and stampedes of terrified local customers”, describes the Italian newspaper which specifies that several police and carabinieri vans intervened. While at least one Milan fan was arrested, several injuries were reported, including one seriously: a Parisian fan, aged 34, who was reportedly transported to hospital under code red. A police officer was also injured.

Italy braces for another night of violence as PSG Ultras are seen carrying knives ahead of their match with AC Milan - the day after a French fan was stabbed during street battle

The streets of Milan are bracing for yet more violence tonight as hooded supporters of French club Paris Saint Germain were seen carrying knives ahead of their team's Champions League clash tonight with AC Milan.

Shocking images showed hordes of PSG 'Ultras' clad in balaclavas and matching tracksuits parading through the city today.

In one image, a PSG fan, looks like a jihadist, can be seen showing the finger to a photographer while carrying what appears to be a short blade in his other hand.
