Police break up fight between Cheltenham Town and Forest Green fans ahead of League Two 'El Glosico' derby
Police have said they separated two groups of fighting fans outside a pub in Cheltenham this morning.
Officers were called just before 11.30am to the Sudeley Arms, in Prestbury Road, after reports of football supporters scrapping.
No arrests were made and the two groups were split up.
A police presence has also been stationed outside The Beehive pub, in Prestbury, but details of any incidents there have not yet been provided by police.

Union GK Rafa Gikiewicz confronts own fans in chaotic Berlin derby
Chaotic scenes marred Saturday's Bundesliga match between Hertha Berlin and Union Berlin that saw Union goalkeeper Rafa Gikiewicz confront his team's supporters who had stormed onto the pitch afterward.
The highly anticipated derby between the two Berlin sides -- their first in Germany's top flight -- was also briefly delayed after the first half when visiting Hertha fans threw flares onto the pitch at Union's Alte Forsterei stadium.
Match referee Deniz Aytekin opted to keep the players in the tunnel for five minutes before returning for the second half.
"It's just sad when something like this happens. I am just relieved that nobody was injured on the pitch. It has nothing to do with football," Aytekin told reporters after the match.
"The players' health stands above all. In accordance with the police, we decided to go through with the match because at the end of the day everyone's safety is the biggest concern."
Union won the match 1-0 when substitute Sebastian Polter converted a penalty in the 90th minute in front of the home end.
Following the final whistle, Hertha fans lit fireworks in the stands and threw them onto the pitch. On the other end, several masked Union supporters broke through and reached the pitch.
But Gikiewicz raised his fists to fight off the Union supporters before they could reach the Hertha supporters.
"The people moved back to the stands. But we will definitely try to identify everyone," Union communication chief Christian Arbeit said. "That's also shows that we are a family. Here, our keeper prevented someone else from doing a stupid thing."
Flares were also sent toward Union's bench, but coach Urs Fischer praised Aytekin's effort to control the match.
"I didn't think it was so bad. [The players] all remained calm," Fischer said after the match. "And because it was so calm, nothing much happened. Thank god. But you shouldn't target those rockets at supporters."
Berlin police told ESPN FC that Hertha fans had also lit fireworks on their way to the stadium, with one minor injury reported.

Killer of Toulouse football fan Brice Taton gunned down in Belgrade - 02/11/2019
Source : https://www.dw.com/
An attack in the Serbian capital has killed football hooligan Ljubomir Markovic, who took part in the brutal killing of Toulouse fan Brice Taton 10 years ago. Markovic had received amnesty and left prison in 2017.
Serbian police were searching for suspects after Ljubomir Markovic, the leader of the fan association "Alkatraz" for the Partizan football club, was shot to death, local media reported.
Witnesses say that a yet-unidentified gunman fired several bullets at Markovic (seen on banner in top photo) at a Belgrade gas station on Friday evening. Two of the shots reportedly hit the 37-year-old in the head, according to Serbia's public broadcaster RTS.
Authorities deployed large numbers of police to the area, but they were unable to immediately track down the shooter.
Markovic was part of the group of hooligans that attacked French national Brice Taton in 2009 when the team he supported, Toulouse, traveled to Belgrade to play Partizan. The 28-year-old Taton was brutally beaten and eventually thrown from a terrace of a cafe in downtown Belgrade. He died in hospital 12 days later.
Released after amnesty
Serbian authorities arrested several Partizan fans in the wake of the incident, which prompted large media attention. In 2009, Markovic was sentenced to 30 years in jail for his role in the murder, but his sentence was later reduced to a 13-year term. He subsequently received amnesty and was released on parole in 2017.
Government opponents and independent media in Serbia often accuse the current government of maintaining ties with football hooligans and gangs. Local crime syndicates are known to use hooligans as low-level law enforcers in Belgrade and other Serbian cities.
Crime gangs linked with extreme fans
On Saturday, the opposition party SSP, led by former Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas, asked for the explanation for Markovic's amnesty to be made public. The party accused the government under President Aleksandar Vucic of using "serious criminals and murders" for its own illegal purposes.
Authorities arrested multiple key members of Markovic's fan group in the wake of the Taton killing, allowing a rival group, "Janjicari," to become the most influential faction. In 2016, one of its leaders, Aleksandar Stankovic (also known as Sale the Mute) was killed after reportedly visiting a gym with a guard working in Belgrade's central prison.
Stankovic had previously been sentenced to almost six years on drug dealing charges but managed to avoid going to jail by claiming health problems, according to the daily Blic. His killer remains on the loose, although unconfirmed reports indicate a Montenegrin crime syndicate might be behind the killing.

Germany: Union Berlin fans celebrate goalkeeper for stopping ultras - 05/11/2019
Source : https://federalnewsnetwork.com/
Union Berlin goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz is being praised for his bravery for stopping his team’s masked fans from reaching Hertha Berlin supporters after the fiery Berlin derby.
Gikiewicz angrily pushed one masked person back and urged others to return to the stands. The fans looked primed for violence, angered after Hertha supporters burned stolen Union jerseys, flags and scarves, while firing fireworks onto the field during and after the game.
One landed dangerously close to the Union bench, leading referee Deniz Aytekin to suspend play and lead both teams off the field, while another landed in the crowd among Union supporters, close to the children and partner of forward Sebastian Polter.
“I was shocked. Nobody wants that. Thankfully, no one was hurt,” said Polter, whose 90th-minute penalty on Saturday gave Union a 1-0 win over its city rival.
Other Union players, including Keven Schlotterbeck and Christopher Lenz, supported Gikiewicz and prevented an already volatile situation from spiraling into violence.
“It’s our duty to save our fans from stupidity,” Polter said. “We wanted to hold the fans back before it escalated.”
Union defender Christian Gentner said the players were the only ones at this point who could have prevented the angry ultras from attacking their rivals.
“We wanted to ensure that we could celebrate this special victory and not that it came to violence,” Gentner said.
The majority of Union fans celebrated the 32-year-old Gikiewicz for his actions by chanting the goalkeeper’s name.
“Perhaps he has a new job as a security officer once his career ends,” joked teammate Robert Andrich.
Police said a Union fan and police officer sustained minor injuries from the fireworks, while another officer was injured while on duty. There were four arrests and 25 cases are being brought for offenses including assault and trespassing.
About 1,100 police officers were on duty for the game, with local officials supported by forces from other federal states.
The German soccer federation has initiated an investigation into the disturbances.
It was the Bundesliga’s first Berlin derby involving teams from either side of the formerly divided city. Union is the first team from what was East Berlin to compete in Germany’s top division since the league was restructured following German reunification.

Chelsea FC - Ajax Amsterdam - 05/11/2019
Source : https://www.football.london/
Where the 2,000 Ajax fans in London are planning to watch Chelsea clash amid Stamford Bridge ban
Ajax will have about 2,000 of their supporters in London for tonight's game against Chelsea – even though Uefa have banned them from attending Stamford Bridge.
The Dutch club were not allowed to sell tickets following crowd trouble during the 3-0 win against Valencia at the Mestalla last month.
An Ajax spokesman told football.london that they expect their fans to gather in pubs near the stadium to watch the game but they are unaware of specific locations.
"They have heart for the club and want to be close by," manager Erik ten Hag said of the supporters who have travelled to London.
Dusan Tadic, the former Southampton attacker who now leads the line for Ajax, added: “This is a disappointment for us because we are used to having our away fans. They are great and we will miss them.”
Some Ajax supporters had hoped to attend Leyton Orient's EFL Trophy game against Brighton Under-23s as an alternative but that match has now been moved to Wednesday “following the advice of safety groups, including the police.”
Orient had initially said that they would engage with Ajax in an attempt to accommodate them but the visitors insist that no contact was made.
The Metropolitan Police did not respond when asked for comment regarding whether they will put special measures in place to monitor the travelling Ajax fans.

Hellas Verona - Brescia - 03/11/2019
Source : https://www.bbc.com/
Mario Balotelli kicked the ball into the crowd and threatened to walk off the pitch following racist abuse during Brescia's defeat by Hellas Verona.
Play was suspended after Italy striker Balotelli, 29, picked up the ball in the 54th minute.
Brescia team-mates and the officials persuaded him to stay on the field.
Balotelli wrote on Instagram: "The 'people' of this curva who made the monkey chants. Shame on you, shame on you, shame on you."
The former Manchester City and Liverpool striker included a video of some supporters making the chants in his Instagram Stories.
He added: "In front of your children, wives, relatives, parents, friends and acquaintances... shame.
"Thanks to all the colleagues on the field and off for the solidarity I had with me, and all the messages received from you fans.
"Thank you very much. You have proven to be true men not like those who deny the evidence. #notoracism."
After Balotelli had been persuaded to stay on the pitch, referee Maurizio Mariani initiated the anti-racism protocol.
An announcement warned fans that further abuse would lead to the game being abandoned.
Balotelli played the full match and scored a sublime goal in the 85th minute, though his side were unable to find a late equaliser.
It was the second time such a protocol has been followed in Serie A this weekend after the game between Roma and Napoli was briefly halted when territorial chants were directed at the Napoli supporters.
Verona boss Ivan Juric insisted after the game though there was no racist abuse.

Italy : Verona Ban Fan Leader for Saying Mario Balotelli Not 'Completely Italian' - 05/11/2019
Source : https://www.news18.com/
Verona banned the leader of their ultras fan group June 2030 for saying that Mario Balotelli would never be 'completely Italian'.
Italian club Verona announced on Tuesday they have banned the leader of their hard-core ultras supporters group until June 2030 for saying that Mario Balotelli would never be "completely Italian".
Verona said that Luca Castellini was barred from their stadium "based on considerations and expressions seriously contrary to those that distinguish the ethical principles and values of our club".
Brescia forward Balotelli threatened to leave the pitch on Sunday after being targeted by monkey chants from a section of Verona's supporters during a Serie A game.
Castellini made racist comments on Monday directed at the 29-year-old Italian forward during a radio interview.
"Balotelli's Italian because he has Italian citizenship, but he can never be completely Italian," said Castellini.
When asked if Verona fans were racist, Castellini added: "We have a negro in our team and he scored yesterday and all of Verona applauded."
Despite denials of abuse from Verona, a video published on Twitter showed a number of supporters directing abuse at Balotelli before the forward booted the ball at them in the stands.
Balotelli, who was born in Palermo to Ghanaian parents but was raised just outside Brescia, had to be held back by players from both teams to stop him leaving the pitch.
"Balotelli's a clown. He only heard it in his own head," continued Castellini.
Former Manchester City and Inter Milan striker Balotelli, who obtained Italian citizenship at the age of 18, has been capped 36 times for Italy.

Germany : Police face investigation after Schalke-Dortmund fan clashes' - 05/11/2019
Source : https://espn.com/
Dortmund public prosecution has opened an investigation against German state police after several Borussia Dortmund supporters were injured, one with a broken jaw, following clashes between the police and fans after last month's Revierderby.
Following an altercation between one Schalke fan, who had sneaked into the city's central station, and a group of Dortmund Ultras returning from the draw in Gelsenkirchen, the situation had calmed down following the arrest of two Dortmund supporters.
One Dortmund fan was on the phone talking to a lawyer after two other BVB supporters were arrested at the station when he was allegedly hit in the face with a riot stick and suffered severe facial injuries.
Police then began to evacuate the main station, using pepper spray, and the Dortmund fan was left with a broken jaw and is recovering after undergoing surgery. Other footage shows police kicking one person out of the door of the station.
Federal police said last week they handed over all video evidence to Dortmund's public prosecution, which on Tuesday confirmed to ESPN FC that they would investigate a possible case of assault while on duty and a source told ESPN FC that the injured would also press charges against the police.
Police and football fans have clashed in Germany in recent years. In October 2018, violence broke out in the away end at the Dortmund vs. Hertha Berlin match.
Fan organisations criticised the "excessive" police operation after which several Hertha supporters remained in Dortmund's hospitals as they received treatment following the use of batons and pepper spray.
And in 2013, police officers waded into the Schalke fan curve during a Champions League match against PAOK. The club later condemned the operation as "excessive."

Scotland: Thirteen football fans charged over disorder in Kilmarnock vs Rangers clash - 06/11/2019
Source : https://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/
Over a dozen football fans have been arrested and charged in relation to crowd disorder at Rangers’ Scottish Premiership clash with Kilmarnock in August.
Fans encroached the pitch and leapt onto the roof of a shelter housing disabled fans in the aftermath of Conor Goldson’s winner for the Ibrox side in the closing moments of the season’s opening game on August 4.
The shelter collapsed, with supporters underneath being evacuated to watch the remained of the game pitchside.
Chairman of the Rangers Disabled Supporters Club Billy Paterson said at the time it was "pure luck" that no one was seriously injured.
Police have now arrested and charged 13 individuals, the youngest of whom is 14, in connection with the incident.
Officers released CCTV images of 20 individuals they were hoping to trace in connection with the disorder last month.
The oldest man charged for their part in the incident was 29.
A Police Scotland statement confirmed: “Reports have been sent to the Procurator Fiscal and officers are following positive lines of enquiry to trace a number of other individuals.”
“Officers would like to thank the public for their assistance with this investigation so far.”
