Radomiak Radom - Lech Poznań - 12/12/2021

Source: https://echodnia.eu/

The police detained four hooligans who may be related to the beating of security guards during the Saturday football match in Radom between Radomiak Radom and Lech Poznań – said a spokeswoman for the Mazovian police, subinsp. Katarzyna Kucharska.

The detainees are men aged 24-39. The spokeswoman told PAP that the first arrests took place right after the match, and the police detained more hooligans on Sunday morning.

We are working on bringing to justice all perpetrators of beating security guards. More people are arrested only a matter of time the policewoman said.

During Saturday’s game in Radom, security guards intervened in connection with a banner hung by hooligans on the stands. There was a vulgar inscription on it referring to the mayor of the city, Radosław Witkowski.

When the security guards tried to take off the banner, they were attacked. Three of them, as a result of beatings, needed medical attention and were taken to hospital.

“We have not watched such scenes of furious aggression in stadiums in Radom for over a dozen years. And we do not want to watch them! Such behavior must be categorically condemned” – commented the president of Radom in social media.

He added that he was counting on “it will be done by all those who declare that they have the good of Radomiak at heart – the authorities of RKS Radomiak Radom, the board of TylkoRadomiak.pl – the Fan Association”.

Radomiak’s hooligans beat the bodyguards. First arrests

As Agnieszka Borkowska, a spokeswoman for the District Prosecutor’s Office in Radom, informed PAP on Tuesday, the court granted the motion of the investigators and issued a decision on the temporary detention of 5 men for two months.

On Monday, each of them heard two charges. The first is related to the act on the safety of mass events and concerns the disruption of a sports event by breaking into the stadium area. The second concerns participation in the beatings of three members of the security service, which was classified as a hooligan offense.

The suspects did not plead guilty and refused to provide explanations. They are men aged 24 to 39. Four of them are residents of Radom, one is a visitor.

On Tuesday, the same accusations were also heard by an 18-year-old from Radzymin, who confessed to the acts committed and provided a brief explanation. Against him, the court applied police supervision and a property bail in the amount of PLN 10,000 as a preventive measure. zloty. According to the spokeswoman, further arrests are possible.

During Saturday’s match in Radom between Radomiak Radom and Lech Poznań, security staff intervened in connection with a banner hung by hooligans on the stands. There was a vulgar inscription on it referring to the mayor of the city, Radosław Witkowski.

Three of them, as a result of beatings, needed medical attention and were taken to hospital. “One of the victims suffered a head injury, the second a multiple fracture of the lower leg, and the third – fracture of the humerus” – said the spokeswoman.

Despite the closed-door game between Vitesse and Slovenian club Mura, due to health restrictions, hundreds of Vitesse fans gathered around the stadium and greeted their players' bus with many smoke bombs. Yet the day before the match, the mayor of the city, Ahmed Marcouch, had asked the supporters to stay at home. It is clear that it was not listened to!

Boy, 15, arrested as trouble flares at Stoke City match

A 34-year-old man was also detained

A 15-year-old boy was among two football fans arrested after Stoke City's match against Middlesbrough ended in a draw.

The teenager, from Stoke-on-Trent, was quizzed on suspicion of assaulting an emergency worker as trouble flared at the bet365 Stadium on Saturday.

A 34-year-old man, from Cleveland, was also detained for the same offence.

Both suspects have been released under investigation as inquiries continue.

News of the arrests come as Boro fans accused Staffordshire Police of being heavy handed after allegedly being pepper-sprayed following the match.

A police spokesman said: "Following any football fixture, we automatically carryout a debrief, in conjunction with the football club, which will review tactics used and lessons learnt.

Barrow AFC - Swansea City - 11/12/2021

Source: https://www.nwemail.co.uk/

Police make arrests at Barrow AFC vs Swindon Town match

POLICE made two arrests during Barrow's AFC win over Swindon Town at Holker Street.

Officers at the ground said a small group of away fans were 'causing trouble' at the match.

One away fan, a 27-year-old man, was arrested and cautioned for public order offences.

Police said a Barrow fan was ejected from the game and arrested for using a pyrotechnic and throwing an object towards the pitch.

Officers have stressed that pyrotechnics, including flares, smoke bombs and fireworks, are banned at football matches.

A police spokesman said: "[The] arrested man was a 27-year-old Swindon Town fan. He was cautioned for public order offences.

A 17-year-old from Barrow is under investigation regarding use of a pyro and throwing an object towards the playing area."

PC Rickie Wallbank, the designated football officer for Barrow AFC, said: “Use of pyrotechnics inside a football ground is an offence and could result in serious injury for yourself or those around you.

“It can also result in a criminal record and a banning.

“We are working closely with the club on this and other matters."

Praising the good behaviour of Barrow fans, he added: “I’m also keen to acknowledge and thank the overwhelming majority of Barrow supporters for their conduct on Saturday.

"They were a credit to their club and the town, after a fantastic result on the pitch.”

Barrow ran out 2-0 winners against the Wiltshire club on Saturday.

Figures released earlier this year revealed the small number of times match-going Barrow AFC were arrested in the last five years.

Data released by the Home Office showed that fans had been apprehended for public order offences and for throwing missiles.

In total six arrests have been made since 2015, making fans of the League Two club among the most law-abiding in the football league pyramid.

The highest number of arrests in a year were made in 2015/16 when officers made three arrests for public order offences.

Italy: Seregno - Lecco - 12/12/2021

Source: https://www.monzatoday.it/

Firecrackers, detonators and troubles in Seregno: carabinieri intervened.
High tension at the end of the game against lecco this Sunday afternoon. Two men identified.

A match suffered for the home team and lost. And a very hot match in which - as the players competed for the ball on the pitch - the supporters also used smoke bombs and firecrackers in the stands. But it was after the Serie C championship game which ended 1-4 for the guests on Sunday afternoon that there were moments of tension: a few scuffles outside the stadium which were however contained in a few moments by carabinieri and the Monza police.

Clashes after the match

At the end of the game, a group of Lecco supporters - although the supporters are located in two opposite sectors of the stadium - managed to reach some Seregno supporters between via Gramsci and via Montessori, outside the stadium. And a dozen people surrounded and assaulted some Seregno supporters.

To put an end to the clashes before the situation escalated, the police intervened in less than a minute of agitation in all, but this could have been the "detonator" of a larger clash, given the four hundred spectators who had just attended the match.
Two fans arrested and identified. They are two men aged 40 and 30 from Giussano and are Seregno supporters. In all likelihood, daspo will be offered to them. An 118 ambulance also responded to the scene and treated the two who refused to be transferred to hospital.

The home club could be fined for using smoke and firecrackers during the match at the stadium.

Fights opposing Genoa and Sampdoria ultras: 73 years of Daspo for 18 ultras - 14/12/2021

Source: https://www.unionesarda.it/

The episodes go back to last March and September 2020-2021

Eighteen supporters, including supporters of Genoa and Sampdoria, were subjected to 73-year-old Daspo by the Genoa police chief.

According to investigators, the two groups, composed respectively 10 Genoani and 8 from Sampdoria, would have participated in two brawls that took place on September 12, 2020 and March 24, 2021, and come as retaliation for an attack on a fan of Sampdoria on September 8, 2020 and whose officials were identified by the Digos in the weeks that followed.

In addition, six supporters will be forced to sign during matches: four will have to do so for 10 years, two for nine years.
For the 12 others, the duration of the measures varies from two years to one year.

Recent amendments to the legislation include the offense of brawl among those for which Daspo is applicable even when the facts occur in contexts other than sports.

Italy: Ternana: ultras sanctioned - 14/12/2021

Source: ombriaon.it

Ternana, ultras protest after the lost derby: 21 sentences
Acquitted of various crimes but not of "private violence", the supporters found themselves at the Court after the events of March 5, 2016 in Via Bramante

Acquitted of the charges of prejudice, resisting a public official and meeting without the consent of the public authority.
However, all 21 were sentenced to four months in prison for the offense of private violence. This is the sentence handed down in recent days by the court of Terni - judge Elisa Fornaro - against the accused, twenty men and one woman, who found themselves on trial after the heavy litigation against Ternana Calcio - it was March 5, 2016 - after the derby lost by one to zero at the 'Curi' stadium in Perugia.
Tension exploded when the team returned to town, when the bus was blocked by supporters on Via Bramante, many with their faces covered.
There, in addition to insults, firecrackers, smoke bombs and bottles had flown. A situation complicated to contain also for the police who escorted the greens and reds, then followed by the Digos investigations and several complaints to the judicial authorities.

Wisla Plock - Legia Warszaw - 12/12/2021

Source: https://sparkchronicles.com/

Legia players beaten by football fans. PZPN and Ekstraklasa are reacting

“The Polish Football Association and Ekstraklasa SA express their opposition to any form of violence and aggression, including physical and verbal, against players, coaches, referees and other participants in sports competitions,” we read in a statement that was also sent to Onet.

“The incidents that have occurred require full clarification by the competent public authorities in cooperation with the football community. The Polish Football Association and Ekstraklasa SA will support efforts to prevent similar events in the future. Football must be free from any acts of violence and aggression,” we read.

Legia is in a huge crisis, which on Sunday, December 12, took its most serious expression so far. The away defeat with Wisła Płock put the Polish champion in the last place in the league table, and coach Marek Gołębiewski resigned from the position.

However, this was only the beginning of one of the darkest days in the ongoing Military season. In the evening, a group of hooligans broke into the bus, which was used to return the players of the Warsaw team. According to media reports, they attacked the players. At least a few of them were to suffer in this whole event, incl. Rafa Lopes, Luquinhas and Mahir Emreli. Currently, intensive talks are underway with the injured players who demand that their contracts be terminated due to the club’s fault.

Billy Cowap: Football fan jailed for slashing man's face before Millwall Everton FA Cup tie - 15/12/2021

Source: https://news.sky.com/

Eight men in total have been sentenced following brawls before an FA Cup tie between Millwall and Everton in January 2019.

A football fan has been jailed for six years and eight months after admitting slashing a rival supporter across the face during a fight before an FA Cup tie in 2019.

Billy Cowap, 29, from Lewisham in southeast London, tried to cause "serious GBH to one person" and later cut the face of another with a knife, the Metropolitan Police said.

The victim "required numerous surgeries" and has been left with lasting injuries.

The trouble began after a group of Everton fans got off a train at Surrey Quays and went to a pub on Old Rotherhithe Road ahead of the clubs' fourth round FA Cup match at The Den on 26 January.

They assaulted people outside the pub and threw bottles and chairs, police said, adding that Millwall supporters threw glasses and chairs in retaliation.

There was later a larger fight on Hawkstone Road involving more than 100 people, during which Cowap injured the rival fan's face.

Officers placed Cowap at the scene via CCTV, body-worn video and social media footage, as well as analysing his phone call data and cell site data.

The knife used was recovered at the scene and its colour matched the weapon Cowap was seen carrying in videos of the violence.

As well as receiving six years and eight months for GBH, he also got three years and four months for attempted GBH and one year for violent disorder, to be served concurrently, at the sentencing at Kingston Crown Court.

He had pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing. He has also been banned from football for 10 years.

Cowap was sentenced alongside seven other men who all pleaded guilty to violent disorder.

Detective Constable Phil Dickinson from the Met's Public Order Command said: "Violence between football fans will not be tolerated and we will continue our work to keep London safe during sport matches."

Celtic fans invading pitch

Malky Mackay is adamant Ross County should face no punishment from the football authorities for Wednesday night’s mass pitch invasion by Celtic supporters.

One steward was hospitalised with a broken wrist and another injured as a large group of away fans in the Global Energy Stadium’s north stand surged forward and spilled past stewards and police. County players retreated into midfield amid concerns for their safety after Anthony Ralston’s dramatic winner in the seventh minute of stoppage time.

French referees told to end matches if hooligans' missiles injure players or officials - 17/12/2021

Source: https://www.modernghana.com/

Football and public order chiefs in France on Thursday ordered the immediate cancellation of a game if a missile thrown from the stands hits and injures a player or match official.

The measure emerged after a series of meetings between organisers of the professional leagues and top politicians including interior minister Gerald Darmanin, the sports minister Roxana Maracineanu and the justice minister Eric Dupond-Moretti.

Emmanuel Macron's government has been under pressure to respond to a wave of hooliganism around grounds since fans were allowed back into stadiums at the start of the season following limits on numbers due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Images of punch-ups between supporters and players, pitch invasions, hooliganism and fans goading each other have virtually become weekly occurrences in the French top flight since August.

Stop the match !

On 21st of November, the Ligue 1 fixture between Lyon and Marseille was halted within five minutes after the Marseille skipper Dimitri Payet was struck on his head by a full bottle of water.

After two hours of sometimes acrimonious talks with officials and players from both clubs, referee Ruddy Buquet called off the game at the Groupama Stadium.

Nearly a month after the chaos on and off the pitch in Lyon, authorities have laid down a clear protocol to avoid such drift and confusion.

They said a decision should be reached within 30 minutes without the involvement of club owners.

"If a referee or a player is injured by a projectile thrown from the stands the match will be automatically abandoned," the ministries of the interior, justice and sports said in a joint statement.

Action

"There will be a clear dividing line regarding the competence of the match referee and the police over the stopping of matches.

"A clearly thought out, unified and rapid decision must be reached," the statement added.

The clause to exclude top club officials from the decision-making process comes after the Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas received a five-game ban on Wednesday over his behaviour while match officials were weighing up whether the Lyon v Marseille game should resume.

During their discussions, Darmanin, Maracineanu and Dupond-Moretti decided that the measures to bar supporters from stadiums were effective enough, but that they could be applied more rigorously.

No security net was in place at Lyon's stadium nor at Montpellier nor Nice when missiles were hurled at Marseille players.

In an opinion piece for Le Monde, Payet criticised the government and football authorities for their lack of action.

"This is an unbearable form of collective resignation," he wrote.

"I would like to have a reasonable collective responsibility. I would like to be able to defend my idea of football on every pitch in France without asking myself questions about the next gestures of hatred."

Source: https://football-italia.net/

According to reports in Italy, Milan ultras are among the eight people arrested this morning over alleged drug trafficking.

Calciomercato.com reports eight people were arrested in the area of Milan this morning and charged with drug trafficking.

Among them, three Milan ultras, including one of the Curva Sud leaders Luca Lucci who was taken to jail with three other men. Four more are under house arrest.

Lucci was already arrested with similar allegations in the past. In December 2018, he was pictured with at-the-time Italy interior minister Matteo Salvini during the celebrations for Curva Sud’s 50th birthday (pictured).

There are numerous searches in other homes in the provinces of Milan, Bergamo, Lodi and Monza Brianza.

The ultras are all involved at a personal level and investigations do not concern Milan’s fans organizations.

SPEZIA ULTRAS LOCK TEAM INSIDE STADIUM AFTER COPPA ITALIA EXIT

The tension is rising around coach Thiago Motta after Spezia crashed out of the Coppa Italia, as fans blocked the gates of the stadium.

Lecce earned a 2-0 victory at the Stadio Picco this evening, becoming the only Serie B side to make it into the Coppa Italia Round of 16.

They are also struggling badly in Serie A and were jeered off the pitch, but the situation escalated afterwards.

Ultras are blocking the gates of the stadium and refusing to let the team out, demanding a meeting with them and coach Thiago Motta.

“You’re nothing but a mannequin,” they shouted at the tactician, before chanting for the team to ‘Show some balls.’

Thiago Motta spoke to Sport Mediaset after the game and confessed “Lecce were superior to us tonight and we have to accept the current reality so we can try to improve. We are in a situation where we can only get better.”

He was asked if the club still had faith in him.

“Next question. We all have faith that we can get out of this together.”

Lyon’s French Cup tie abandoned as rival supporters fight and invade pitch

Season 21/22 - December - Page 4 Dpl6

The French Cup last 64 game between Paris FC and Olympique Lyonnais was abandoned following crowd trouble on Friday as violence continued to hit French football.

Supporters fought while some of them went on to the Charlety stadium’s pitch and threw flares at half-time with the game level at 1-1. After 45 minutes, the stadium announcer came on to the field to ask fans to leave the arena.

Lyon were docked one point in Ligue 1 after their home game against Marseille was abandoned last month after Marseille’s Dimitri Payet had been hit by a bottle thrown from the stands.

French football has been marred by crowd trouble this season, prompting the government to announce on Thursday that games would be abandoned if a player or a referee is injured by a projectile thrown from the stands.

Among other measures, the government said a decision on whether to abandon a game after any crowd incident would be taken within a maximum 30 minutes after it occurred. It also pledged to uphold more stringent stadium bans imposed on violent supporters.
