A cache of weapons including 11 axes were found by Greek police in a raid on one of two football supporters’ clubhouses, Thessaloniki police announced Friday.

The raid late Thursday night at the Aris fans’ HQ led to the confiscation of the axes, 16 iron rods, 17 wooden or plastic bats, four wire cutting tools, 30 firecrackers and flares.

Police also found a computer and recorder as well as banners, jerseys and scarves from various teams.

No supporters were at the clubhouse at the time and no arrests were made.

Another raid on the PAOK fans clubhouse led to 11 people being detained for questioning with police finding two firecrackers and a banner from a non-PAOK team.

The threat of violence led to a crowd ban at last season’s Greek Cup final won by PAOK at a near-empty Olympic stadium.

Police investigate as FA Cup tie abandoned after reports of racial abuse

Officers are also investigating after items were reportedly thrown onto the playing area, a Metropolitan Police spokesperson told BBC Sport.

Saturday's match was abandoned after Haringey's manager took his team off the field in the second half.

There have been no arrests yet and inquiries are continuing.

Avon and Somerset Police says it will be assisting the Met, and have asked anyone with information or video footage to contact them.

The Football Association is also investigating and said it was "deeply concerned" about the allegations.

"There is no room for discrimination in our game and we are working with the match officials and the relevant authorities, as a matter of urgency, to fully establish the facts and take the appropriate steps," said an FA statement.

Serbia's national football team has been ordered to play its next home game behind closed doors after UEFA decided to punish the "racist behavior" of its supporters.

European football's governing body had been investigating what happened in Belgrade's Stadion Rajko Mitić during Serbia's 4-2 defeat by Portugal in September and announced its decision Monday.

UEFA ruled that Serbia must play two of its next home games without supporters, with the second game suspended for a one-year probationary period.

The Serbian FA will also have to display "#EqualGame" banners around the stadium during its next home game -- a crucial Group B qualifying match against Luxembourg on November 14. Serbia currently has 10 points, one behind second place Portugal, with Ukraine topping the group with 19 points.

Serbia's Football Association was also fined €33,250 for a number of other charges including illicit chants and field invasions.

Violence in the stands during the Liga MX clash between Atletico San Luis and Queretaro saw the match suspended, with at least 37 spectators reportedly injured in the chaos.

With just five minutes left to play at the Estadio Alfonso Lastras, fighting broke out in the crowd with Queretaro leading their fierce rivals 2-0.

Graphic TV images showed metal objects were thrown by both sets of fans, and a number of individuals were savagely beaten while security struggled to restore order.

Hordes of spectators flooded on to the field in an attempt to escape the carnage, and horrific photos soon surfaced which showed a number of bloodied supporters being stretchered away.

According to ESPN Mexico's Karen Pena, almost 40 fans were injured amid the unsightly scenes.

The brawl is believed to have broken out in the top tier of one of the stands at the 30,000 capacity ground, although the reason why the violence was incited still remains unclear.

Players were instructed to return to the dressing room and Liga MX soon published a statement which condemned the grim scenes.

It also requested that the authorities investigate the incident, and urged the Mexican Football Federation to impose sanctions - which may include a stadium ban.
