Feyenoord Rotterdam - Sevilla FC - 27/11/2014

Source : http://www.insidespanishfootball.com

110 Sevilla fans detained by police and denied entrance to Feyenoord clash

Sevilla did not issue tickets to the fans under the guise of security, but a group of 110 Sevilla fans decided to travel to Holland, purchase valid tickets and support their club.

However, when they arrived in Rotterdam in two buses, they were detained by police and were denied entrance to the stadium.

Sevilla is one of the cities hardest hit by the economic crisis and the 110 fans are now out nearly €300 each from the €250 for the bus fee and €39 for tickets to the fame they were denied entrance.

The fans were enraged that they were allowed to purchase tickets only to be told they were invalid and denied entrance, as the club has yet to announce if they will present that case to UEFA.

One suspect arrested over killing of Serbian fan case - 28/11/2014

Source : http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com

One suspect has been arrested while six others were released in an investigation into the murder of a Serbian fan who was killed during incidents that erupted on the sidelines of last week’s Euroleague Basketball game between Galatasaray and Red Star Belgrade in Istanbul on Nov. 28.

K.A., the 53-year-old arrested suspect, said in his testimony that foreign fans had started to attack Galatasaray fans with stones and sticks and that he took the knife into his hand “without realization.”
“We reacted to the attacks. I was either punched or hit in my nose. I waved the knife in my hand toward a leg but it missed. The person that hit me was blonder and taller. The physical properties of the individual that died was different,” said K.A., adding that he did not commit the crime.

Istanbul Police Chief Selami Altınok suggested that the identity of the killer was known by investigators. Those who are involved in the murder are not the hooligans who took part in fights prior to the game, he added.

The murder of the 25-year-old Red Star supporter Marko Ivkovic has strained the ties between the two countries. It has also raised tension in the competition, as fan groups of Olympiakos, pitted in the same group as Galatasaray, pledged that “Orthodox fraternity would take revenge.” Ultras of Galatasaray responded with creating a banner featuring a checklist of supporters groups for several teams including Red Star and Olympiakos, with a check mark by Red Star’s name.

Atlético Madrid - Deportivo La Coruña - 30/11/2014

Source : http://www.theguardian.com

Deportivo La Coruña fan dies after clash outside Atlético Madrid stadium

A Deportivo La Coruña supporter has died after he was injured when dozens of rival fans clashed near the stadium before the club’s La Liga match at Atlético Madrid on Sunday.

The 43-year-old fan, who was not identified by name, had to be fished out of the freezing Manzanares river near Atlético’s Vicente Calderón stadium and suffered cardiac arrest, hypothermia and head injuries, emergency services said.

Hospital sources later said he had died shortly after 2pm local time after failing to respond to efforts to revive him. Eleven other people were treated for mostly minor injuries, including one female police officer with a fractured hand.

Twenty people were taken into custody and a total of 100 troublemakers had been identified, police said on their Twitter feed. Unconfirmed reports state that over 200 people were involved in the violent fight that took place at 9am local time when the buses taking supporters to the stadium parked in the area.

Atlético and Spain’s professional football league (LFP) condemned the troublemakers and the LFP said it had wanted to suspend the game.

Spanish media reported they had been unable to do so as it had not been possible to contact the Spanish football federation in time.

“I want to say that this has nothing to do with football,” Atlético president Enrique Cerezo said in an interview with Spanish television after champions Atlético won the match 2-0.

“These are radical groups who meet up and these are the consequences,” Cerezo added. “I repeat that neither Atlético nor Deportivo have anything to do with these incidents, they are organised by radical groups who have their histories and their accounts to settle.”

Deportivo president Tino Fernández said clubs needed to do more to make sure such incidents were not allowed to happen.

“It’s tragic news,” he told Spanish TV. “I want to express our vehement opposition to violence.”

Tottenham - Partizan Belgrade - 27/11/2014

Source : http://www.bbc.com

Uefa to open proceedings after pitch invasions

Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings against Tottenham following a series of pitch invasions during Thursday's Europa League match against Partizan Belgrade at White Hart Lane.
Three pitch invasions were orchestrated as an internet prank and caused the match to be suspended for around 10 minutes just before half-time.
A video posted on YouTube shows three men planned the disturbances.
European football's governing body will hear the charge on 11 December.
Spurs had earlier apologised in a statement for the "totally unacceptable behaviour".
Three men were arrested after the match and remain in custody. One is also charged with handling stolen goods.
The YouTube video suggests that the stunt was a challenge to see which of the men could remain on the pitch for the longest time.
The men were all wearing T-shirts bearing the name of a headphone manufacturer.
The company condemned the invasions on Twitter, but Tottenham have removed all mentions of the brand from club channels and related stock from their shops while they investigate.

Rochdale - Oldham Athletic - 29/11/2014

Source : http://www.irishmirror.ie

Shocking scenes as football fans clash with police and each other during derby match

Cops made nine arrests and 28 supporters were ejected from the ground as the rivalry between Rochdale and Oldham Athletic spilled over into unrest.

Dozens of fans were thrown out of Rochdale’s Spotland Stadium during Saturday’s League One match, which visiting Oldham won 3-0.

One man was arrested inside the ground for possessing a potentially-lethal flare. Flares and ‘smoke bombs’ were also let off during the game.

Shocking video footage of arrests being made and two fans running out from the Rochdale end of the stadium onto the pitch towards Oldham fans in the away end has emerged, Manchester Evening News reports.

The footage shows one man being held down by FOUR Greater Manchester Police officers in the Rochdale Pearl Street end as play continues on the pitch.

He is shown thrashing his legs and body around as officers hold him down. Two supporters then dash out onto the pitch and run over to Oldham fans in the Willbutts Lane stand.

A fight also breaks out between two men in the home end before one of them is grabbed by an officer and restrained as punches are thrown.

A young child can be seen visibly distressed being comforted by a steward as the men scramble over seats to brawl.

A supporter in a wheelchair is also seen being led to safety. The attendance was 7,269, with 3,200 Oldham fans making the short trip to Rochdale.

A break-down of what the nine men were arrested on suspicion of, or which club they supported, has not been revealed.

But Chief Inspector Chris Hill told the Manchester Evening News that CCTV footage would now be studied to determine whether any other offences were committed.

He said “As always with derby matches, no matter what league they are in, there is always excitement and tension amongst the fans. This means a specific policing plan is implemented to make sure the day is enjoyable for all involved.

“The majority of fans were well behaved and I would like to personally thank those supporters from both clubs. It is, however, unfortunate that a small number of so called fans let themselves and their club down when dispensing smoke bombs and flares inside the stadium.

"This is both anti-social and extremely dangerous to those inside the ground. Police and stewards will simply not tolerate this sort of behaviour and you will be arrested.

“We will now be viewing CCTV footage within and outside the ground to ascertain whether anymore offences were committed.”

A policing plan is expected to be reviewed and could be stepped up as the two clubs meet again in the league at the SportsDirect.com Park, Oldham, on January 3.

Crowd trouble mars Benfica win

Crowd trouble forced Benfica's Primeira Liga match at Academica Coimbra to be interrupted for five minutes late in the second half on Sunday, prompting the Lisbon club to protest at heavy-handed policing.

Play was halted when fans spilled onto the running track around the pitch to escape the trouble. Pictures showed smoke bombs and plastic seats being thrown as riot police entered the crowd wielding truncheons.

"Benfica regret and are puzzled by this aggression towards our fans," said the club in a statement. "During tonight's game, there was an indiscriminatory police action against the Benfica fans, including women and children."

"This police intervention followed an episode which happened before the match when our fans were banned from entering with scarves and flags bearing the colours and emblems of the club."

Violence Erupts At Jalisco Stadium After Monterrey Knocks Off Atlas

Atlas and Monterrey supporters clashed with each other and police following tonight's 2-0 Monterrey win that moved Los Rayados into the Liga MX playoff semifinals. Univision Deportes reported multiple police suffered injuries, while others formed a protective shield around Monterrey supporters to protect them from angry Atlas fans.

Atlas entered into the match with a 1-0 aggregate lead, but Monterrey won tonight's match 2-0 to move on in the Liga MX Apertura Liguilla. That sparked violence severe enough for Univision Deportes to move away from the post-game pressers and back to Estadio Jalisco. They mostly captured the aftermath, but you can see numerous fans with injuries as well as police officers down on the ground recovering. Several individuals were seen on stretchers, though it's not clear if they were fans, police, or security personnel. Observers report the violence continued outside the stadium as well.

Argentine: Tiro Federal - Chacarita - 29/11/2014

Source : http://www.kickoff.com

Argentine player beaten to death

A football player was beaten to death by an opponent and rival fans in Argentina's third tier on Saturday, police said yesterday.

In a match between Tiro Federal and Chacarita, two teams from Argentina's northwest, a brawl broke out on the pitch in the 80th minute.

Federal skipper Franco Nieto, 33, was attacked by a group "including a player from the opposing team, an assistant coach and a hooligan," regional police chief Fabian Bordon told TN television.
