| Swansea City - Cardiff City - 06/11/2009
Source : BBC NEWS
Fifteen arrests at football derby
Fifteen arrests were made at a derby football match between Swansea City and Cardiff City, say South Wales Police.
Two people were arrested during the game at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea which the home team won 3-2.
Another 13 arrests were made outside the stadium after the game. The arrests were for public order offences.
However, police praised the majority of supporters for their behaviour before, during and after the game which was attended by more than 18,000 fans.
Divisional Commander for Swansea, Ch Supt Mark Mathias, who was in charge of policing the match, said: "The overwhelming majority of fans behaved extremely well.
Best behaviour
"There was some disorder in the Siloh Road area after the game but as a result of efficient policing this was limited and confined.
"I appreciate that big games such as this have an impact on the local community of Landore and I would like to thank residents for their understanding and support for which we are extremely grateful."
Extra officers and police vehicles were on duty as the fixture was marred by crowd trouble last year.
Both clubs had urged their supporters to behave following ugly scenes when they met last year.
Police made 27 arrests following trouble after the Carling Cup match between the two sides in Swansea while in the league game at Ninian Park referee Mike Dean suffered a cut to the forehead after a coin was thrown by a home fan.

| Den Haag - PSV Eindhoven- 08/11/2009
source: http://soccernet.espn.go.com/report?id=271704&cc=5739 Ola Toivonen bagged four goals for PSV Eindhoven but he had to share the limelight with referee Roelof Luinge.
The official harshly dismissed two ADO Den Haag players and stopped play midway through the second half when he took exception to obscene chanting from the crowd.
By that stage PSV were 4-0 up, through a hat-trick from Toivonen and Otman Bakkal's strike, while ADO had seen Ricky van den Bergh and Lex Immers sent off.
When play finally resumed, Karim Soltani pulled one back for the nine-man hosts, before Toivonen completed his double brace...

| Brawling English football fans force plane to make emergency landing in Germany - 08/11/2009
Source: http://theoriginalgreenwichdiva.com/2009/11/08/brawling-english-football-fans-force-plane-to-make-emergency-landing-in-germany/
Fighting English football fans aboard an EasyJet flight forced a plane to make an emergency landing in Germany.
Details of the brawl aboard the plane from Manchester to Munich on Friday only emerged last night.
The plane was forced to put down at Frankfurt Airport after the pilot radioed to ground control that he feared the situation on board was escalating.
The fight broke out between two English football fans – part of a group of 12 travelling together to see top German teams Bayern Munich and Schalke 04 play on Saturday in a Bundesliga match.
The two men were described as “extremely drunk” and aged 24 and 36.They began throwing punches at one another and could not be restrained by cabin crew.
Franz Winkler, for the police in Frankfurt, said; “The captain wanted to avoid a further escalation and endangerment to the aircraft so put down in Frankfurt.”
The two troublemakers were led away by police but only the 24-year-old was detained and warned he would face charges this week.
None of the group they were travelling with were allowed to continue the journey to Munich.
An EasyJet spokesman said the trouble on board did not place any passenger at risk, that the captain had acted entirely properly and that “no such arguments between passengers would be tolerated on flights.”
Police did not reveal where the men came from in the UK or their names.
