| Lyon - OGC Nice - 01/11/2003
Source: mails
Local view:
Us: max. a 45/50 handed mob, composed bu many ultras and some independants. Group composed by many youths. But we didn't care as Nice is not so interesting for us. Nice: Hard to tell their number but I say 65/70 lads with some old ones in their first line. Belts and umbrellas were used and some missiles were exchanged, but the fight was fair, as no other weapons were present. I wouldn't explain all what erupted but: Nice fans charged us, we regrouped with the aim to try something, but visitors were really up for it. Police forces made interventions on both sides. After the game, a group of 20/25 of us try to reach the visitors but no other toe-to-toe erupted.
Nice lad view:
We were there with approx 60 from the BSN hardcore. A toe-to-toe erupted near the local stand, opposing our mob to a local composed of 60/70 lads. Not many physical contacts as locals have to retreat immediately...French CRS arrived... _________________

Prior to the game, a group of 70 F'noorders was arrested 30 kilometers far away from the Groningen city centre. It also seems a toe-toe-toe erupted at the end of the game, opposing 8 visitors to 30 locals. _________________

| Saturn Ramenskoe - Zenit St. Petersburg - 1/11/2003
Source: Reuters
The final day of the Russian premier league season was marred by clashes between rival fans and police during a match between Saturn Ramenskoye and Zenit St Petersburg on Saturday. Russian news agency Itar-TASS reported that hundreds of the estimated 5,000 Zenit supporters tried to invade the pitch to celebrate their team's 3-1 away victory, but were met by riot police. The report said Zenit fans also threw plastic chairs, firecrackers and debris on to the pitch and into the stands, occupied by Saturn supporters. No serious injuries were reported. This was the latest in a series of violent clashes between rival soccer fans and police in recent years in Russia. Ramenskoye, a small town about 40 km from Moscow, has seen its share of brutality. Up to 600 Spartak Moscow fans fought about 500 police aided by several hundred army troops for almost half an hour during a match against Saturn four years ago.

| One dead, 35 hurt in Colombia stadium mishap - 02/11/2003
Source: Reuters
A 20-year-old woman was killed and at least 35 others injured when a soccer stadium's balcony railing gave way on Sunday in Colombia's Caribbean city of Barranquilla, authorities said.
Fans, some suffering serious head injuries, plummeted awkwardly onto a concrete stadium floor at least 12 feet below after crowding a metal balcony in a post-game celebration. The aluminum railing broke under the pressure.
"It wasn't that high. But it was a sharp fall and many fell badly. Since there weren't many people below ... they hit the concrete," said Jose Estrada, director of rescue operations for the Red Cross in Barranquilla.
Television images showed one fan falling on his neck onto the stadium steps, another being taken away in a stretcher. Estrada said 16 of the victims had sustained serious injuries.
Witnesses said that the winning Colombian team, Junior, had approached a section of the stadium packed with loyal fans after scoring a 1-0 victory in a semifinals match against team Tulua. Junior supporters on the second level pushed lower to catch a closer look at the players and the railing gave way.
"They [junior players] came over, taking their jerseys off, to celebrate the victory with the fans. The fans approached the balconies, and then that's when it happened," said Manuel Ortega, sports writer at Barranquilla newspaper El Heraldo, who was covering the match.
The stadium is the same one where Colombia's national team squared off -- and lost 2-1 -- against Brazil in September. _________________

| Argentina: Rafael Di Zeo - 03/11/2003
Source: argentinan website
Rafael Di Zeo escaped from his apartment using a bed sheet tied to the balcony of a building ten stories high when Police arrived to arrest him. The police found an arsenal in his apartment. Out of all the Boca Juniors’ barrabravas, he’s the most wanted fugitive. Police surveillance video show him as one of the main troublemakers in the Boca vs. Chacarita game which caused soccer to be suspended in Argentina for 3 weeks. Seconds after police stormed his home, Rafa “spiderman” was already climbing down balcony to balcony from his tenth floor. He landed on the garage and took off. It is believed that someone in his building tipped him off about the Police visit. When the Police stormed his apartment they found war munitions, a .22 caliber revolver, many fake identification cards, 50,000 Argie pesos and 10,000 u$ dollars (which may be counterfeit). They also found a loaded .38 caliber revolver in the balcony that must have been dropped as “Rafa” fled. Another “La 12” troublemaker was arrested after the Boca Juniors vs. Lanus game a few weeks back. This barrabrava is known as “Avila”. _________________

| FC Nantes - Paris SG - 08/11/2003
Source: OUEST-FRANCE
Riots occured before the game: a parisian mob provoked troubles just before the game, on the car parks, charging in front of them. French CRS made an intervention. One of them was injured. Two Nantes fans were also injured.
Source: Casual Paris website and agreed by Nantes lads
...For this season, and if the french activities seems to be on a good level, Paris' Kop of Boulogne only created troubles in Metz...But this week-end it was in Nantes. Last season, locals were 70 waiting for Parisians, but they were there with only 10 men, promising a better 03/4 game. This Saturday, at 2pm, in the city centre, Parisian lads are walking in little streets and stayed in a pub...Now, it's time to take our way to the stadium. We are now approx 100 lads. The actual generation (+ 25 years old) is present with youths (20 years old). Rumours are making their way...Paris is there for proving its supremacy... On Nantes side, approx 60 lads are there for their reputation. Now, the Paris escort arrived in front of the local stand but 30 lads have disappear...Both sides are really close from eachother. Locals go out of their pub and 15/20 of them are in first line. Visitors arrived and a violent fight erupts. Locals have to retreat but small fights are now erupting everywhere. Some visitors take their road to their stand but others regrouped them on the cars park. Some policemen try to make an intervention but after an arrest, a group of 30 lads are now in a toe-to-toe with polie forces and punches are exchanged. A cop is injured. Some other contacts erupt with 10 locals and cops are coming back. At this time, some Parisians regroup them near a pub. Most of them are leaders. A few punches are exchanged with locals before these last ones have to retreat. Now, visitors are 40 and locals are coming back again, for the same result but with a good motivation... Visitors are now in front of their entrance but local stewards attacked some of them. Some local lads are now near us, but just for speaking, but after a short while, a few punches are exchanged... Now, about 20 local stewards make a toe-to-toe with 15 PSG lads. Other scuffles erupted at the end of the game with both sides. Finally, a good fair fight without weapons and with loyal rivals _________________

Some cars were set on fire, 10 policemen were injured and 9 Croats arrested. Violent figths also erutped between ultras from both teams, during 15 minutes before a police intervention. | Celtic Glasgow - RSC Anderlecht - 06/11/2003
Source: RSCA Fans forum - 'Classical' fan view
At 6pm we know our coach cannot drive us to the stadium, so we stay in the city-centre and we must walk half an hour to the Celtic Park. We are now following a group of approx 200 boys. No doubt, they are the hardcore: no scarf, no t-shirts of their team and no songs, except the pathetic 'Brussels Hooligans'. As we have no other choice, we follow them but problems will start: some meters far away, they start to provoke locals who are inside a pub. Glasses are throwing and punches are exchanged. Some policemen restore order. On our way to the stadium, we'll see other punches. As no Celts are there for a fight, provocations are now against policemen but we cannot leave this group because the police presence. Inside the stadium, no separations between both sets of fans and some punches are exchanged. Police forces make an intervention but now lads are fighting with them. _________________

| FC Basel - Newcastle United - 06/11/2003
Source: ITK + FCB forum
At 6pm a local mob, composed by 20/25 Basel lads and 15 Mannheim lads was waiting for some actions. Only about 35 Basel (that includes a few germans Basel is in friendship with) met for this game. After more than 80 Newcastle being banned and a few of them letting us know that they wouldn t turn up in numbers, it wasn t a big event for both sides. Laws in Switzerland allows the police to arrest you for no reason for 48h, and they re using this option on a frequent base, that led to ridiculous 80arrests at some games where there was no troubles at all. For that reason Basel did not firm up near city center, to avoid beeing spoted by ob. Fortunately it worked perfectly for once. Basel spotters reported Newcastle lads ins 2 bars/pubs in the main square. At this moment, Basel expected their numbers to be about 40. They headed down there at around 6ish, and when arriving at the square they bumped into a group of Newcastle just a few yards away from on of the bars, this group got under attack immediately. Even if there was more Basel lads present that time, there was no unfair things going on and equal numbers were fighting each other. Another group of Newcastle drinking outside that bar joined in. As a result, 1 Newcastle had to be taken to hospital. OB turned up, Basel disapeared in sidestreets. Few minutes later, about 25 Newcastle chased 6 Basel. Only a few small incidents after the game. _________________

Some yids turned up about 11.30 at Arsenal tube, no more than about 30 of them, and got put inside the Coronet, one of the yids OTS has already gone into this on their site.
There was a mob of Arsenal around the T Bird at that time, whose numbers quickly swelled as calls were made that the yids had arrived.
Everyone made way up to Holloway.......
Outside the Coronet were approximately 20 OB wagons, camera crews the lot. No Arsenal allowed anywhere near the gaff and people were S.60 left right and centre. Quite a few plotted up in boozers near the coronet, i.e. Hobgoblin and Spoofers.
As the OB started giving everyone too much attention, most Arsenal made their way down towards the Barn, the OB predictably escorted all the yids nice and safe into Highbury.
Afterwards, your lot pulled a disspearing act that Davin Blaine would be proud of, whilst a fair sized Arsenal mob met up in the White Swan. A few ideas mooted by ours about what to do, you lot did not want to know at all.
In summary, the yids came nice and early held hands with the OB within 5 minutes, and were put in a pub with more OB around them than the Houses of Parliament, with all of them melting away at the end. _________________

| Cardiff City - Barnsley FC-Cardiff Crown Court - 03/11/2003
Source : BBC NEWS
Fans banned from football matches
Five Barnsley football fans who became involved in a fracas in the city of Cardiff have been banned from attending matches for three years.
The violence flared on the streets of Cardiff in February after the Welsh side equalised and up to 100 Barnsley fans decided to leave the stadium early.
At Cardiff Crown Court, Hywell Hughes, prosecuting, said police were initially able to hold back most of the fans and stop a confrontation with home fans at the Ninian Park ground.
But the violence broke out and one police officer was injured and another pulled to the ground.
JD, 35, of Monk Bretton, DS, 38, of Welthorpe, JA, 29, of Hoyland and DL, 35, of Old Mill, Barnsley, and KB, 22, of Rotherham, all pleaded guilty to public order offences.
They were given football banning orders, which stop them attending league, cup and international matches in England and Wales.
The were also fined £750 each and ordered to pay £250 prosecution costs. _________________

| Huddersfield-Cardiff City-No charges against football police - 12/11/2003
Source : BBC NEWS
No charges will be brought against police officers accused of attacking football fans during violent clashes before a match.
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has decided there is insufficient evidence to warrant charges despite claims from Cardiff City fans that they were assaulted by officers from West Yorkshire Police.
The alleged attacks occurred on 9 April 2002 as Cardiff supporters made their way to the match with Huddersfield.
Police made 21 arrests at the division two game but charges against nine Cardiff fans were later dropped.
Internal investigation
In November last year, West Yorkshire Police launched an internal investigation into complaints from around 20 visiting fans.
Neil Franklin, of the CPS, said: "Allegations made against police officers are taken extremely seriously and receive very close consideration.
"A full review of the file provided to us was carried out.
"However the case did not meet the requirements of the evidential test which states that there must be sufficient evidence for 'a realistic prospect of a conviction'.
"Therefore we are obliged to recommend no further action in this case."
A statement from West Yorkshire Police said: "We note the CPS decision and consideration will now be given to the disciplinary aspects." _________________
