Hertfordshire Police released a statement confirming an individual was arrested. It read: "A 37-year-old man from St Albans was arrested in connection with the incident and remains in police custody at this time."

French stadium installs metal fences

The upcoming Coupe de France Final will feature spiked fences protecting the pitch inside the stadium. French police requested the fences be erected in order to prevent a pitch invasion by fans. Along with the fences, 3,000 additional police are to be drafted in for the game. Nantes play Toulouse for the trophy on Saturday evening at the Stade de France.

A statement by police claims that they asked the French Football Federation (FFF) to build the fence for “security reasons.” Nantes fans stormed the pitch following their semi-final victory over Olympique Lyonnais earlier in the month. However, this pitch invasion was not hostile in nature.

West Ham fan trampled by police horse

A West Ham fan trampled by a police horse outside Selhurst Park ended up in hospital after the Hammers 4-3 defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace.

The footage below shows Ian being stepped on by a police horse while minding his own business,

The supporter from Taunton was taken to Croydon University Hospital A&E department by his friends, where he was X-rayed and treated for four hours.

He suffered swelling and a chipped bone but has now been released from the hospital for his long trip home to Somerset.

Arrests and missiles thrown at Burnley v Blackburn derby

Five people were arrested at the east Lancashire derby that saw Burnley clinch the Championship title with a win over Blackburn Rovers.

Two men aged 35 and 42 were arrested at Ewood Park for assault and another man was held on suspicion of pitch encroachment, Lancashire Police said.

They said missiles were also thrown "before, during and after the game".

The force thanked the "vast majority" of fans who were let down by "a handful of individuals".

The Clarets finally sealed the Championship title in a feisty match that saw Manuel Benson's second-half strike break the deadlock and beat their rivals by a goal.

Police had urged fans to respect each other ahead of the match and warned they would have dogs, helicopters and horses supporting specialist officers.

Officers also arrested two teenagers aged 17 and 18 outside the stadium on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly.

Supt Melita Worswick said: "I would like to thank the vast majority of supporters for their exemplary behaviour during what was a fiercely contested and passionate derby fixture.

"Unfortunately, a handful of individuals have let themselves and their football clubs down by their extremely disappointing behaviour."

She said footage of missile throwing was being reviewed and "will be thoroughly investigated by our officers and officials from both football clubs".

Last night 80 Lauta Army hooligans went to Botev stadium where Botev hooligans were gathered to make preparations for their match today.
Botev spoted us and hide inside the stadium and waited till police arrived.
One car with Botev was caught and destroyed. After that Lauta Army continued searching more Botev in the city without a success.
Shame that again and again Botev don't wxant to fight and waited for police protection.

Two dead after confrontation between fans

The victims were identified as Anderson Jaramillo, 34 years old, and Alejandro Torres, 25, fans of Nacional.
