'Bayern Munich fans' clash with police ahead of Liverpool match at Anfield
Bayern Munich fans have reportedly clashed with police outside Anfield ahead of their match against Liverpool.
The German side and thousands of their fans have travelled to the city for their first leg against LFC in the Champions League.
Before kick-off , a massive crowd of Bayern fans were seen singing and chanting inside Stanley Park before heading onto Anfield Road .
But ahead of the match videos on social media appeared to show fans becoming involved in altercations with officers from Merseyside Police.
In one video, a fan can be seen being pinned to the floor by around five officers before another man jumps over a metal barrier and heads towards the scrum.
It is believed that the fans involved are Bayern supporters, as away fans are always taken into the ground via the turnstiles at the top of Anfield Road .
Ian Hutchinson, who captured the footage, also stated on Twitter that he believed the men involved to be German supporters.
During the video, a number of officers can also be seen running towards the turnstiles and stopping supporters from jumping over the barriers.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police confirmed that no arrests had been made but a number of fans had tried to push to the front of the turnstiles.
It is not believed that anyone was injured.
Bayern fans have travelled to Liverpool in their droves and although only just over 2,000 away tickets were sold, it is believed that around 3,000 Munich supporters are in the city tonight.
Earlier today hundreds flooded the streets of Kirkdale outside the Elm Tree pub before being escorted to the stadium by officers and Merseyside Police's mounted squad.

The scenes were captured ahead of the Europa League second-leg match in Valencia.
Fans claimed they were attacked for doing nothing wrong – just drinking and singing.
A Twitter account that shared videos of the ugly scenes said: “Some appalling footage showing Spanish police violently attacking supporters without provocation in Valencia.
“We urge all fans to stay safe, and if necessary to document any abuses, especially if arrests are made.
Later they tweeted: “Spanish police now firing rubber bullets at crowds of Celtic supporters.
“Despicable beyond description.

Earlier supporters had expressed their disappointment that a Fanzone had not been set up for the match.
@CelticFCSLO tweeted: “Despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to get any confirmation from @valenciacf or Local Police regarding a Fanzone so this doesn’t look like this going to happen, best advice if you don’t have a ticket find a friendly bar showing the match.”
Fans had been warned not to go to the stadium if they didn’t have a ticket and to be there at least one hour before kick-off.
They were also told not to take large bags, fireworks or banners or clothing with the word ‘ultra’ on.

France : Nantes fined over Emiliano Sala flare tributes - 20/02/2019
Source : https://www.skysports.com/
Nantes have been fined by the French Football League after fans set off flares as part of a tribute to Emiliano Sala on two separate occasions.
Supporters of the Ligue 1 club fired off flares and held aloft a giant banner of Sala at the game against St Etienne on January 30, the first fixture after the plane carrying him disappeared over the English Channel.
They subsequently let off pyrotechnics in their match with Nimes on February 10, the first match after the 28-year-old's death had been confirmed.
Nantes have now been fined €16,000 for the initial incident at the St Etienne game and a further €4,500 at the Nimes game for "use of pyrotechnics and throwing objects".

AEK handed suspended ban from European competition - 22/02/2019
Source : https://theworldnews.net/
AEK Athens have been hit with a suspended ban from European competition by Uefa over the crowd trouble that marred their Champions League Group E match in Athens in November.
The Greek club has also been ordered to play its next two Uefa competition home games behind closed doors and fined €80,000 euros.
Riot police clashed with Ajax Amsterdam fans in the Olympic Stadium before the match and some supporters had blood pouring down their faces, while flares were also thrown inside the stadium.
Today, Uefa said in a statement that it had decided to “exclude AEK Athens FC from participating in the next Uefa club competition for which it will otherwise qualify.”
“This sanction is suspended for a probationary period of two years,” the governing body added.
Uefa had charged AEK with several infractions, including a pitch invasion by their fans, the throwing of objects, setting off of fireworks, insufficient organisation and the display of an illicit banner.
Ajax had also been charged with setting off fireworks and the throwing of objects by their supporters, but Uefa said it had decided to end the proceedings against the Dutch club.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s Europa League success marred by ‘disproportionate’ policing
Eintracht Frankfurt supporters have accused a local politician of "waging a petty personal war" against football fans after confrontations with police ahead of their team's Europa League game against Shakhtar Donetsk on Thursday left several fans injured.
Two hours before kick-off at the Commerzbank-Arena, police confiscated a large banner which was lying on the ground in front of the north-west terrace, the home of Frankfurt's ultras, deploying batons and injuring fans in the process.
"Sending a police unit storming into a stadium, brutally brushing aside all in its way, to confiscate a banner, is beyond all proportionality," said a statement from the Nordwestkurve e.V. – an umbrella organization representing active Eintracht Frankfurt fan groups. "Contrary to police reports, several people suffered serious injuries, including an arm broken in two places and a broken vertebra."
Justifying the operation, Frankfurt police said in a statement that the targeted banner contained a "foul and offensive" message regarding the local interior minister for the state of Hessen, Peter Beuth (CDU). When asked for more details, the police told DW that any insulting message displayed inside a stadium is cause for an intervention, regardless of its intended addressee.

Dutch football hooligans paint swastikas on buildings in Amsterdam - 22/02/2019
Source : https://www.independent.co.uk/
The graffiti was discovered Friday, ahead of Sunday's Dutch league match between ADO The Hague and Ajax, which is based in Amsterdam
Vandals suspected of being football hooligans from The Hague have painted graffiti including swastikas and anti-Semitic texts on buildings in Amsterdam.
The graffiti was discovered Friday, ahead of Sunday's Dutch league match between ADO The Hague and Ajax, which is based in Amsterdam.
Ajax is often portrayed as a club with historic links to Amsterdam's Jewish community.
A statue in Amsterdam that commemorates a general strike in 1941 to protest the rounding up of Jews by Nazi occupiers of the city during World War II was vandalized with green and yellow paint — the colors of ADO The Hague.
ADO director Mattijs Manders said in a statement that the club and its leadership "strongly reject these incomprehensible acts. It is disrespectful and sad."

UEFA open Madrid doors to Ajax ultras - 21/02/2019
Source : https://en.as.com/
4,000 Ajax fans will travel to Madrid to watch their side play at the Santiago Bernabéu with many ultras also being allowed to visit for the second leg.
On March 5, 4,000 Ajax fans will travel to the Santiago Bernabéu for the return leg of the Champions League last 16 game and amongst them will be a group of the club's ultras, the F-Side. They are the main group of radical Ajax fans and those responsible for the fireworks outside Real Madrid's hotel in Amsterdam before the first game.
They are allowed entry because, while Ajax are to serve a ban of one game that will see them without their support at an away game, UEFA have postponed that suspension. UEFA will meet on February 28 to decide on their situation but if a decision is made to ban them, it will be too late to affect their plans for the game against Real Madrid.
The F-Side have cost the Dutch side six punishments this season between the Champions League and the Eredivisie with fines amounting to €135,000. UEFA have also opened a case from the first leg with reports of beer glasses being thrown at Karim Benzema after he scored the opening goal.
The same group were in Kiev in the previous round of the competition when a fight broke out in a cafe. That resulted in nine arrests and they were also involved in melees in Portugal when Ajax played Benfica and against AEK Athens. There was €8,000 worth of damage done to Benfica's stadium with another fight that caused significant damage to a hotel in Lisbon. Skirmishes broke out in Greece too with flares let off inside the stadium with Greek riot police being forced to intervene.

Police prevent clash between ADO and Ajax supporters
The police and municipality of The Hague prevented a clash between ADO fans and Ajax supporters on Sunday. The intention was that Ajax fans would protest on the Maliveld in The Hague on Sunday, but mayor Pauline Krikke changed the location at the last moment to prevent an altercation between fans of the two football clubs. Six ADO supporters were arrested on the Malieveld, RTL Nieuws reports.
The Ajax fans wanted to demonstrate on the Malieveld against the fact that they have been banned from the ADO stadium for years. But dozes of ADO fans gathered on the field to wait for the supporters from Amsterdam. For safety reasons, Krikke therefore decided to send the five buses of Ajax supporters to the International Criminal Court, which is much further away from the city center. The ADO supporters were detained by the police for some time, but were released again later.
The buses carrying Ajax supporters were stopped on the A44 at Sassenheim and searched. They were then escorted to the International Criminal Court, where the Amsterdam club's supporters held their demonstration without further incident.
Ajax won the match in The Hague on Sunday with 5 goals against ADO's 1.
Late last week there were several incidents of vandalism in Amsterdam, which seemed to be claimed by ADO supporters on social media.
