Manchester United tell Paris Saint-Germain to foot bill after fans trash Old Trafford - 13/02/2019
Source : https://www.thetimes.co.uk/
Manchester United want Paris Saint-Germain to pay for the destruction caused by their supporters who damaged 800 seats in the away end at Old Trafford during last night’s Champions League match.
Around 3,500 PSG fans watched their team defeat United 2-0 in the first leg of their last-16 tie yesterday evening.
The supporters created a lively atmosphere by chanting all night, but some of their behaviour was unacceptable, according to United officials.
United staff estimate that 800 seats were damaged at the stadium. Some were ripped up and thrown towards home fans in the East Stand. A number of PSG fans also climbed on and ripped the netting that separates the away end from the disabled section.

England : Police hunt West Ham & Leicester City football hooligans who clashed moments before helicopter crash - 09/02/2019
Source : https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/
Police are hunting for a group of football hooligans who clashed outside Leicester City FC’s stadium – just moments before the tragic helicopter crash which killed five people.
Rival West Ham and Leicester supporters were brawling with each other as the club’s owner perished in the crash on the opposite side of the King Power Stadium.
Fans become embroiled in the violence on Filbert Way at about 7.30pm on October 27 last year – the fatal crash occurred on the other side of the ground at 7.37pm.
All five people on board – the pilot and four passengers, including club owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha – were killed in the tragedy that rocked the footballing world.
Now officers are trying to trace five men in connection with the fight, which broke out following a 1-1 draw between the clubs.
Officers have released images of the suspects in a bid to track them down and have already made six arrests in Leicester and London this morning (Thurs).
There were no reports of injuries but police have described the actions of those involved as “completely unacceptable.”
Detective Constable Jack Thomas, of Leicestershire Police, said: “Our enquiries into identifying those responsible have been ongoing since October last year and we have been working closely with our colleagues in the Metropolitan Police.
“While no one has reported being injured the actions of those responsible are unacceptable.
“A number of people including families with young children were leaving the stadium after the match.
“Six men were arrested earlier today however we still wish to identify those in the CCTV images as they may be able to assist with our enquiries.
“If you recognise them or have any suspicions about who they may be we would urge you to get in touch.”
Three Leicester men, aged 29, 29, 48 and three London men, aged 21, 32 and 56, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and remain in police custody.

FC Zürich - SSC Napoli - 14/02/2019
Source : https://www.thesun.co.uk/
NAPOLI and FC Zurich fans were involved in an ugly skirmish in the build-up to the Europa League game on Thursday night.
An Italian journalist in the city has claimed that travelling supporters were ambushed by Swiss fans less than a mile away from the Stadion Letzigrund.
Italian reporter Carlo Alvino called the attack "cowardly".
He wrote on social media: "Cowardly attack on Napoli fans.
"Cars with Italian number-plates surrounded and attacked.
"It wasn’t far from the stadium."
Alvino also said that local police were "slow to react".
Footage shows two groups of supporters rush towards each other in the middle of the road.
A second angle, taken closer to the violence, shows that some fans are armed with weapons - although it is not clear what they are holding.
A flair is also seen being fired towards the group on the right.

In addition to pre-match incidents (around 17:00), during which the police used rubber bullets, tear gas and water cannons (a policeman was slightly injured by a bottle), new troubles occurred after the meeting.
Around 9:30 pm, an italian car was set on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the vehicle was fully calcined.
The police forces prevented further clashes between supporters, some of whom were armed with stones and bottles. In this context, five people were arrested and one policeman was slightly injured.

Chelsea face Uefa probe after away fans launch objects at Malmo supporters during Europa League win
Chelsea are waiting to see if they faced punishment from Uefa after supporters in the away end at Malmo were seen throwing objects at home fans.
On a night of crowd trouble during the Europa League tie in Sweden which Chelsea won 2-1, Eden Hazard was accosted by a fan from the home end demanding his shirt after the final whistle.
Uefa are waiting for reports from the match delegate and referee Aleksei Kulbakov before deciding whether to investigate.
Malmo supporters appeared to launch plastic beer cups at fans in the away end early in the first half. Police had to move in to calm down the situation and when they left there was an increase in the number of stewards put in place between the fans for the rest of the game.
Ahead of the match, Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri had urged the club’s fans to be on their best behaviour after what happened on their last trip away from home in the competition.
Anti-Semitic chants were heard during the match against MOL Vidi in Budapest two months ago and UEFA opened disciplinary proceedings. Chelsea will find out on February 28 if they will have to play their next European home game after that date with Stamford Bridge partially closed.
It is understood that should Uefa look to punish Chelsea for what took place in Sweden, it will be treated as a separate case which means the maximum penalty would be a fine.
Malmo look certain to be punished by the governing body after their fans were seen lighting a number of flares — which are banned from stadiums — as the teams came out before the start.

England : Cops release pics of 12 men connected to bloody brawls between Millwall and Everton fans - 15/02/2019
Source : https://wstale.com/
Shock footage showed fans of both squads throwing punches in front of Surrey Quays station before their teams locked horns in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Police called the fights "some of the worst football violence" they'd ever seen as they appealed to the public to help identify the men.
During the brawl Everton supporter Jay Burton was slashed across the face with a knife.
Before the match the violence quickly escalated as dozens of other fans joined in within seconds of the brawl breaking out on January 29.
According to more unverified footage, at least one supporters' coach was damaged by Millwall fans during the chaotic scenes in London.
And Everton fans were also recorded gathering outside a pub containing Lions supporters as police blocked them from crossing the road.
Police officers, supported by a mounted patrol, quickly intervened and had to use batons to separate the two groups.
This was some of the worst football violence we have witnessed for a very long time
A 27-year-old man was arrested on February 6 on suspicion of wounding with intent, attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) and violent disorder yesterday.
He has been bailed to appear at a Central London police station on Thursday, February 28.
Detective Sergeant Matt Simpson, from the Met's Public Order Investigation team, said: "The disorder which broke out on Saturday, 26 January was some of the worst football violence we have witnessed for a very long time.
"It left one man with a life-changing injury to his face, and caused chaos in the streets.
“A post-incident investigation was launched, through which we are working hard to identify those involved in this completely unacceptable and shocking behaviour."
Police are now appealing to the public to help identify the 12 men in the photos.
Simpson said: "We have today released images of 12 individuals we are attempting to trace in connection with this incident.
"The public can play a huge role in helping police, especially by assisting us in identifying wanted individuals. You are our eyes and ears.
“The public have undoubtedly helped us bring many wanted offenders to justice in the past, and we hope they can assist us in this investigation."

Celtic fans invade pitch and are held back by POLICE at Kilmarnock
Celtic were on course to draw this crunch game in the Scottish Premiership until Brown popped up with the winner in the 89th minute.
The Hoops captain fired in from a corner, with the ball deflecting off a Kilmarnock arm before nestling into the back of the net.
Brown celebrated wildly with the fans behind the goal as Celtic went eight points clear of Rangers in the title race.
But the club captain sparked controversy as Celtic fans spilled over the barriers to celebrate with the players.
As these images show, a number of Hoops fans got past security to hug the celebrating Hoops players.
Some even jumped over the advertising hoardings and got onto the pitch.
Police eventually pushed them back into their seats.
And once things had settled down Brown himself was sent off for sparking the celebrations.

Chaos as police fire grenades before Vasco da Gama vs. Fluminense
Brazilian football had another day of unprecedented chaos on Sunday when fans were allowed into the Maracana Stadium midway through the first half after a judge lifted a ban imposed when rival sides could not agree in which end their fans would sit.
The gates were opened around 30 minutes into a Rio state championship final to allow thousands of Vasco da Gama supporters, and a few from rivals Fluminense, into the ground.
Police had earlier fired pepper spray and percussion grenades in and around the Vasco fans who had gathered outside the famous stadium hoping to be allowed in.
Fluminense had stopped selling tickets and advised their fans not to turn up after the judge's ruling.
