France : PSG fans banned from Marseille game - 01/02/2016
Source : https://www.supersport.com/
Paris Saint-Germain must face Marseille at the Stade Velodrome this weekend without their travelling fans, the local police ordered on Monday.
"It's forbidden for anyone who is a PSG supporter to enter the Stade Velodrome", or drive or park their cars in the streets around the ground, a police statement declared.
Sunday's clash is considered high risk with trouble flaring at numerous meetings between Marseille and PSG fans over the years.
"Relations between Marseille and PSG fans have been marked by animosity for many years," the police noted.
This is the second time in a week that PSG have been deprived of their supporters after their fans were banned from Sunday's trip to Saint Etienne.

Referee halts Lazio v Napoli Serie A match after racist chants
The game at Lazio was stopped for three minutes after booing from some home fans when Koulibaly touched the ball.
Irrati continued after consulting with coaches and officials, with Napoli winning 2-0 to stay top of the league.
"I want to thank the Lazio players, but especially the referee Irrati for his courage," Koulibaly wrote.
The French-born 24-year-old Senegal international began his career at Metz and joined Napoli from Belgian side Genk in 2014.
Wednesday's Serie A match at the Stadio Olimpico was stopped in the second half because of the chanting that Koulibaly described as "ugly".
The defender gave his shirt to a child in the crowd after the game.
Writing on Instagram he said: "I thank my team-mates, the public and our fans, who have been a great support against these ugly chants.
"I want to thank everyone for the messages of solidarity which I have received."
Lazio manager Stefano Pioli insisted: "I would not have stopped the match. It was chanting from the minority, but I don't think they were racist, we also have players of colour and they are treated well."
But Napoli counterpart Maurizio Sarri backed the decision and wrote on Twitter: "Bravo to Irrati for stopping the match."

Prison demanded against ADO Den Haag football hooligans - 03/02/2016
Source : http://www.nltimes.nl/
The Public Prosecutor demanded 5 months in prison, two of which conditionally suspended, against nine ADO Den Haag supporters in court on Tuesday. Eleven ADO Den Haag supporters are facing charges of public violence during during a brawl with Willem II supporters at a match on May 10th last year.
Nine supporters are facing jail time. One supporter will be appearing in court on a later date and against the final supporter the Public Prosecutor demanded an acquittal.
The brawl broke out during half time of an ADO Den Haag away match against Willem II in May last year. Fans tore down a fence and were so able to reach the Willem II supporters. The two groups threw each other with plastic chairs, bottles and branches and physically attacked each other.
Six Willem II supporters will be appearing in court next week in connection with the brawl.
All suspects are between the ages of 23 and 36 years old. They were arrested in October last year, following an extensive investigation which relied heavily on analyzing camera footage of the incident.

Six football fans arrested during Aberdeen v Celtic match
SIX football fans were arrested during Aberdeen's 2-1 win over Celtic last night.
Police confirmed six individuals had been held by officers at Pittodrie in connection with a range of alleged offences.
One supporter was arrested in connection with an alleged sectarian breach of the peace and another was held over an alleged assault.
Police chiefs today praised the majority of the 20,000 fans who packed into Pittodrie for the game.
Chief Inspector Nick Topping, match commander, said: "Police Scotland was supported by Aberdeen and Celtic Football Clubs to ensure the experience was a safe and enjoyable one for the overwhelming majority of supporters.
"The match passed with no serious disruption or incident and this is testament to both the supporters home and away.
"Officers in attendance worked closely with partners and engaged with fans throughout the match.
"A small number of arrests were made, six in total, including one for a sectarian breach of the peace, an assault and four for minor drink-related offences, all within the football grounds.
"There were no major traffic issues and I would like to recognise and thank those who planned their journey to the stadium.
"I would also like to thank the public in the wider Aberdeen area for their patience, as I appreciate they would have been slightly delayed to allow the safe access of pedestrians to and from Pittodrie."

’Well fan arrested as supporters accuse police of ‘overkill’
A Motherwell fan was arrested at last night’s match with Partick Thistle after assaulting a steward.
The 19-year-old will be subject to a report to the Procurator Fiscal, although the steward wasn’t injured.
’Well fans took to Twitter to complain about the heavy police presence at the game which saw several officers enter the Firhill stand after the suspect tried to hide among his fellow supporters.
Jason Henderson said: “Utterly surreal scenes at Firhill tonight.
“One wee guy acts like a tube, cue more than a dozen police officers orchestrating a pile-on.”
Derek Watson added: “Extremely aggressive stewarding resulted in police overkill.
“Around 15 cops trying to lift one young ’Well fan.”
Dave Taylor said: “Police and stewards were disgusting tonight at Firhill.
“Stood, stared and waited for the tiniest reason to wade in to the ‘Well fans.”
Jason Clark posted a picture of over a dozen officers standing in front of the ’Well fans before kick-off.
He said: “The amount of police watching a small section of Motherwell fans tonight. What a joke!!”
However, Police Scotland denied there was anything out of the ordinary about the number of officers at Firhill.
Chief Inspector David Pettigrew, local area commander, said: “The police presence at the match was standard for that category of the game.”

Lone Southend United fan filmed appearing to attack Colchester United supporters after running on to pitch in chaotic Essex derby
Police will investigate shocking footage from Saturday’s Essex derby which appears to show a Southend United fan sprinting across the pitch to attack a stand of Colchester United supporters.
Tempers boiled over towards the end of the all-ticket fiery League One clash at Roots Hall which saw the visitors’ Alex Gilbey sent off before Southend sealed a 3-0 win.
Fan-shot images show a man, who looks to have entered the field from the ground’s West Stand, throwing punches into the North Stand where the away fans are housed.
The supporter in question goes unnoticed by police and stewards until a brawl breaks out at the front of the visitors’ section. At least one other Southend supporter also approaches the away end.
But officers positioned at the Essex derby distanced themselves from blame and say they will examine the footage with football banning orders a possibility for any wrongdoers.

Marseille Fans Accidentally Pelt Eggs At Chinese Tourists After Mistaking Bus For PSG Team Coach
With tensions running high ahead of Le Classique, a battalion of Marseille fans attempted to unsettle the PSG team as they rolled into the Stade Velodrome on Sunday afternoon.
Sadly, due to a heady mix of mistaken identity and itchy trigger fingers, the only people the L’OM ultras ended up intimidating were the innocent Chinese tourists whose bus they accidentally ambushed with eggs outside the stadium.
The slapstick incident was reported by beIN Sports commentator Matt Spiro, who Tweeted thus…

Due to the enmity between the opposing fans, there were no PSG fans present following police orders earlier in the week. As PSG's team bus approached the stadium, some Marseille fans threw projectiles, and objects were also thrown toward Di Maria as he prepared to take a second-half corner. 8 Marseille fans were arrested.

Wild Clashes Between ΑΕΚ and Atromitos Fans; One Person Stabbed
Several moments after last night’s football match between Atromitos and AEK, clashes broke out in Peristeri. While the coaches of both teams were speaking on camera at the end of the match, several AEK fans entered in the track field of the stadium and came face to face with Atromitos fans. A video shot by the bleachers from an AEK fan which was released on the Internet, shows 15 AEK fans entering the field and several Atromitos fans responding. Moments late more AEK fans took advantage of a loose gate, which they pushed, breaking into the field to join the rest of the group. Clashes, including chasing and throwing of various objects such as chairs, followed for 2-3 minutes until the riot police intervened and arrested three AEK fans. As a result of the clashes, one Atromitos fan was stabbed and rushed to the hospital. The riot police remained in the stadium in order to prevent additional incidents.

LIVERPOOL FANS STAGED a walkout protest in the 77th minute of today’s Premier League clash with Sunderland.
Sections of the ground swiftly emptied as the protest at the recent decision to increase ticket prices went ahead as planned.

There was drama on the pitch too, as the concession of two late goals saw Liverpool held to a point by lowly Sunderland.

Ajax fans lynch effigy of Feyenoord goalkeeper Kenneth Vermeer during Eredivisie clash
Ajax fans have been caught on camera pretending to lynch a former player during Sunday's clash with Feyenoord.
Supporters in the upper tier had prepared an effigy of Kenneth Vermeer, which they then hanged off of a balcony.
The 30-year-old goalkeeper came through the ranks at Ajax before moving to rivals Feyenoord in 2014.
The video, which first appeared on Twitter, shows fans hanging the mannequin, which is wearing a shirt with the name "Vermeer" on the back.
KNVB president Michael van Praag described the actions as "completely unacceptable".
At least one man has since been arrested and banned from the stadium, according to reports in Holland.
It wasn't isn't the first time this season Dutch football has had problems with racism in the stands. Players complained of fans making monkey noises during the game between Feyenoord and ADO Den Haag just last week.
And this latest incident has led many to call for stricter controls and punishments for fans guilty of racism and hooliganism.

Borussia Dortmund fans toss tennis balls on pitch in protest of ticket prices
Borussia Dortmund fans protested high ticket prices by throwing tennis balls on the pitch during their side's 3-1 win at Stuttgart in the DFB-Pokal on Tuesday.
Many of Dortmund's travelling supporters stayed away from the stand for the first 20 minutes in response to a €70 ticket price set by the hosts.
The "Kein Zwanni" fan group unfurled a banner that read Fussball muss bezahlbarsein, or "football must be affordable."
Following the boycott, some Dortmund fans threw tennis balls on to the field, forcing the referee to suspend the match while players helped remove the balls from the pitch.
The protests come in the same week that Liverpool fans walked out of their Premier League match in the 77th minute in response to increased ticket prices.
Despite the incident, Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel praised his players as BVB benefitted from goals by Marco Reus, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
"In the situation of the opponent, in these circumstances, we have made a perfect game," said Tuchel, who was highly critical of the pitch condition.

Corsican crowd angered by football fan's injury attacks police
France's Interior Ministry says a crowd of about 100 people in the Corsican city of Bastia attacked a police station with projectiles and Molotov cocktails in response to arrests following a Reims-Bastia match.
Bastia won the French league game 1-0 on Saturday in Reims, and one of the Corsican city's fans was injured during a scuffle with police. Eight people were arrested, the Interior Ministry said. Bastia said the fan lost sight in his injured eye and Gilles Simeoni, a top Corsican official, said witnesses suggested police acted with unusual brutality.
About 100 people attacked a Bastia police station Sunday in apparent retaliation, the statement said. One officer suffered a head injury.
The Interior Ministry called on Bastia to take stronger action against hardcore supporters known as "ultras."

Mayhem in Corsica: Police fire tear gas at stone-hurling protesters angered by football fans' arrest - 15/02/2016
Source : http://www.rt.com/
Clashes broke out between police and protesters in Corte, Corsica, as around 500 people gathered to rally against the arrests of eight Bastia football fans. Demonstrators hurled stones at police, prompting officers to respond with tear gas.
The demonstrators – mostly students, along with some nationalist militants – gathered on Monday night to support fans of SC Bastia, who were arrested following a Reims-Bastia match the day before.
Eight people were arrested in connection with the violence, though witnesses have suggested that police acted with unusual brutality, Corsican official Gilles Simeoni told AP. The trial for the eight football fans is scheduled to take place on March 22.
The protest on Monday came just one day after around 100 people attacked a Bastia police station in apparent retaliation for the arrests. An officer suffered a head injury during those clashes.
