Aston Villa fans fight among themselves as side gets beaten 4-1
Aston Villa supporters fought among themselves as their side were humbled 4-1 by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. The visitors were 3-0 down inside the first half and fans turned on each other as pressure on boss Steve Bruce increased.
One supporter was knocked to the ground by a punch with multiple supporters seen engaging in the violence at the Bramall Lane end of Sheffield United's stadium.
The result left Villa 12th in the Championship with just two wins from their opening six games, while the Blades are third and only two points off the top.
Jack O'Connell headed United in front after just six minutes before Mark Duffy doubled their advantage midway through the first half.
Oliver Norwood scored his first Blades goal four minutes before the break which saw an outbreak of discontent from the away end.

Far-right marchers clash with police in Germany after man 'murdered by migrants' - 02/09/2018
Source : https://www.dailystar.co.uk/
THOUSANDS of far-right protestors and counter-protestors have marched in Germany after two migrants were arrested on suspicion of murdering a German man.
Daniel Hillig, 35, died in a fatal stabbing which has inspired mass demonstrations from far-right groups.
Two migrants — an Iraqi and a Syrian — have been charged with the murder, which happened after Daniel had taken money from a cashpoint.
More than 8,000 demonstrators from far-right and anti-fascist groups marched through the city of Chemnitz in eastern Germany.
Saturday's protests ended without serious violence, but tensions were high between the more than 4,500 far-right protestors and those who came out to demonstrate against them.
Police eventually ordered the rival groups to go home after the protest passed its set time limit.
Water cannons were brought out to try and force the crowds out of the streets.
On Twitter, police said: "Our units were at times forced to use direct force.
"We repeat our call, continue to refrain from violence."
Many of the far-right supporters came from the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, and the anti-Islam Populist Europeans Against the Islamisation of the West (PEGIDA) movement, according to police.
Far-right marchers held portraits of people who they say are victims of attacks from asylum seekers.
They also wore dark suits and held white roses, as part of what they called a "mourning march".
Many waved German flags while chanting "Merkel must go" and "We are the people".

Germany : FC St. Pauli against HSV Eyewitness prevents heavy fan riots - 01/09/2018
Source : https://navva.org/
In recent years, fighting scenes have repeatedly surfaced between the groups of the Ultras
Ultras of HSV and St. Pauli apparently arrange a night of riots on the Great Freedom – but a resident looks at the action. Her phone call to the police changes everything.
The Hamburg police prevented a dispute between fans of FC St. Pauli and Hamburger SV. A resident had Saturday between 150 and 200 people dressed in black reported to the police. It turned out that they were supporters of the FC St. Pauli, who moved close to the Great Freedom. The police formed a police cordon on the spot, at the sight of which the group disbanded.
Police control HSV fans – they are violent
Almost simultaneously, a group of about 50 black supporters from the HSV found their way to the Reeperbahn. However, this has also been solved with the arrival of the arriving police officers. In the Davidstraße, officials later checked a group of eight HSV fans. Three of them were arrested because of their aggressive behavior towards the police. A residence ban was imposed against the other five. A clash of supporters from both clubs could be prevented, so there were no major riots. The police said they had more than 60 officers in action.
At the end of September it will go to the city derby
Such encounters could be repeated in the coming weeks – at the end of September, the first city derby in the second Bundesliga will take place on Matchday 8. Of course the meeting was classified by the police as a very safe game.
Only last week a trial with a conditional sentence was terminated, in which a 23-year-old HSV fan was charged. He had defeated a Pauli-supporter who, with a cap on which the club logo had been shown, had been innocent on a bank in Wandsbek and was subsequently attacked by the young man. The victim suffered from a rupture of the orbital floor. The perpetrator has a conditional sentence of one year and four months.

Celtic Glasgow - Glasgow Rangers - 02/09/2018

Five injured after 'crush' at Old Firm game
Five people have been injured trying to get into Sunday's Old Firm game at Celtic Park.
One was taken to hospital after falling from a wall and others were treated at the scene before going into the match.
Celtic fans said some supporters were forced to climb over a high fence to escape a crush, which they claim was caused by the stadium entry points being changed.
Police and Celtic FC said they would be reviewing their procedures.
The incident happened about 20 minutes before the 12:00 kick-off as Celtic supporters tried to make their way into the stadium.
Police had earlier cordoned off a section of London Road to allow Rangers' 800 fans access, forcing more home supporters than usual to use the Janefield Street entry point.
Hundreds of people were then caught in a two-way crush in the corridor under the stadium's North Stand.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed entry to the area was then temporarily stopped and London Road re-opened in a bid to ease the congestion.
'People were panicking' One supporter, who did not wish to be named, told the BBC Scotland news website: "People couldn't walk round the stadium anymore so there was a bottleneck under the North Stand.
"Suddenly there was an absolute crush because there were about 1,000 people trying to get one way and about 1,000 trying to go the other way. The corridor is only six to seven people wide."
He added: "They kept letting people through from either side of the corridor and it became a crush, with people getting semi-trampled.
"I was behind a woman with a boy of about 10 who was getting rocked and people were panicking and climbing over the fences as they couldn't actually breathe properly. It was that bad.
"Myself and my friends were fine but there were women and kids there. It must've been really scary for them."
The Celtic fan said it took him 30-40 minutes to move 300 yards but that the police and club eventually stopped people going in so the situation resolved itself.
"It was an absolute joke," he said. "The people at fault are the police for shutting the access and Celtic for not thinking about how the people flow would go."
Ch Supt Brian McInulty, of Police Scotland, said: "Five people were treated by first aiders when fans were attempting to get into the stadium in the lead up to kick-off at Janefield Street.
"Four people were treated at the scene and then went into the ground, and the other was taken to hospital after a fall from the wall bordering Janefield Street.
"This was a dynamic situation, occurring 10 minutes before the match started.
"Officers and stewards reacted quickly upon realising there was an issue and put in place measures to relieve the congestion. This included putting in place cordons to prevent further entry at Janefield St and opening up London Road to allow fans to access the stadium from the south."
'Safety is priority'
He added: "We work closely with Celtic Football Club to ensure the safety of all fans attending matches. We plan and practice various scenarios to ensure that if an incident occurs it will be dealt with as quickly as possible, as happened in this case.
"We will review today's incident and work with Celtic to ensure any learning is quickly put in place."
A statement from Celtic Football Club said: "We are aware of the issues caused by congestion prior to kick-off. We are pleased that stewards and police were able to assist quickly and we thank our supporters for their patience shown while the matter was being dealt with.
"We will work closely with police to investigate and review this matter. The safety of our supporters will always be our priority."
The final score was Celtic 1-0 Rangers.

Fortuna Sittard - FC Utrecht - 01/09/2018

Utrecht supporters use rubble from demolition site after match against Fortuna Sittard
Just as the police warned before the game, there was trouble at the match when supporters used the rubble from a nearby building site to attack each other. The police intervened on Saturday night after the match between Fortuna Sittard and FC Utrecht.
Fans of FC Utrecht caused vandalism to a fence outside the stadium. This then caused a confrontation with supporters of the home team. In the fight a steward of Fortuna Sittard was injured.
That confrontation, according to a spokeswoman from the municipality of Sittard-Geleen, lasted only briefly. The police were on the spot very quickly. The officers did not have to intervene, the fact that they were there restored the peace, but according to the police union ACP, rocks and paving stones were thrown at the police.
The police had previously refused to be present at the stadium in connection with their ongoing actions for a better collective labour agreement, so it was fortunate that the police suspended the strike for a while, and when the need came, the police intervened and the supporters eventually boarded the buses to Utrecht and left for home peacefully.
Police trade unions were furious in advance with Mayor Sjraar Cox of Sittard-Geleen because the match had not been postponed and the building rubble the police had complained about had not been cleared. The unions argued that too little had been done to ensure safety. As an ACP trade union spokesman said, there had been one hundred police, including police on horseback and police dogs for a football match where the rubble was available for hooligan supporters to use and they were proved right.

Rangers fan 'stabbed' by gang of 'Celtic fans' after Old Firm clash - 03/09/2018
Source : http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/
A RANGERS fan who was stabbed by a gang of men claiming to be Celtic supporters has told of his shock at the "unprovoked" attack.
Scott, who declined to give his surname, was attacked alongside his dad near the Park Lane Bar in Hope Street around 9.50pm on Sunday as they made their way home to Ayrshire having watched Old Firm clash in the city centre.
The 28-year-old says they were approached by a group of around 20 men asking if they "were Rangers" before the thugs began to punch the pair.
However, it wasn't until afterwards Scott realised the extent of his and his father's injuries.
Scott required stitches to a stab wound in his upper back, just inches from his neck, while his 54-year-old dad was left with two fractures in his leg and was knocked unconscious.
He told the Evening Times: "It was completely unprovoked. I'm just thankful it was where it was and not a few inches higher or I wouldn't be here now.
"I'm quite upset and angry that it happened. It's disappointing that we were just targeted for being Rangers fans.
"We weren't provoking anyone, we weren't causing any trouble.
"I've been going to football games since I was a wee boy, this is my team, I've followed them all over the country and abroad and I've never been subjected to anything like this before."
Scott and his dad will both be forced to take some time off work while they recover from the callous attack.
He added: "It's appalling. These people are clearly going to games armed with weapons and having the intent to use them.
"No matter who you follow people shouldn't be subjected to this or fear being in the city just because of the team you support."
Police said that one line of inquiry was that the incident was football related.
A force spokesman said: “Police were called to a report of a large scale disturbance.
"A 54-year-old received serious injuries but he refused medical treatment.”
A 31-year-old man is understood to have been arrested but was released without charge.
Enquiries are continuing.

Red Star fans banned from PSG, Liverpool games - 08/09/2018
Source : https://theworldgame.sbs.com.au/
Milos Degenek's Red Star Belgrade will have to contend without their own fans for UEFA Champions League trips to Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool as a result of crowd unrest in the second leg of their play-off against Red Bull Salzburg.
Salzburg looked to be cruising into the Champions League group stage when they went 2-0 up just after half-time in the second leg on August 29, with their first meeting ending goalless.
But Red Star fought back, striking twice in as many minutes just after the hour with Socceroos defender Degenek prominent, and that comeback sealed their progression thanks to away goals, leading some supporters to enter the pitch at full-time.
Before that, Red Star fans had drawn attention to themselves by setting off fireworks and throwing objects on to the pitch, both of which have drawn charges from UEFA.
On top of having their fans banned for two big away matches, Red Star must also pay a fine of €30,000 and have been ordered to contact Salzburg within 30 days to settle costs for damages caused by supporters.
This is the second time this season Red Star have been in trouble with UEFA, having had a two-match stadium ban after trouble against Sudova on July 24 partially overturned last week.
The reduced one-game ban was served in the first leg against Salzburg.
UEFA have also slapped Salzburg with a €23,000 fine for the pitch invasion against Red Star.
