| Planned off in Sweden - 02/09/2006Source: forum + Aftonbladet Apparently 90 WM (Gothenburg) made the trip to Bålsta some 30 km north of Stockholm and had it with 65 KGB (Hammarby). It was over pretty quick after too many KGB did a runner. Some ugly shit from WM on Hammarby lads that had gone down and the usual bottles thrown but apart from that a clean fight. OB totally fooled. All they found when they arrived were a bunch of armlets left by the 2 mobs. _________________ | |

| Marseille faces tough trip to bitter rival PSG - 07/09/2006
Source: Associated Press
Marseille visits Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday in the unusual role of French league leader when the two teams' bitter rivalry is renewed.
Marseille and Lyon have 10 points each after four rounds, but five-time defending champion Lyon is second on goal difference.
Unbeaten Marseille has yet to concede a goal, while PSG has already lost twice and is equal 12th. But PSG coach Guy Lacombe knows what his team needs to do at the Parc des Princes.
"We have to fight for every ball and not give up one centimeter on the field," Lacombe told the club's Web site. "If we play collectively we can get a good result against the league leader.
"We have been thinking about the Marseille game for a long time. But that's not a reason to put ourselves under too much stress."
France winger Franck Ribery expects a hostile reception from the PSG fans.
"It's normal — I play for Marseille and we are the main rivals," Ribery said. "So I know where the PSG fans are coming from."
Modeste M'Bami may receive a more vociferous response than most. He quit PSG to join Marseille last week.
"I always gave my all for PSG," M'Bami said. "I respected the PSG fans, and I hope they will respect me."
In 2004, Fabrice Fiorese, who had also left PSG for Marseille, was pelted with missiles at the Parc des Princes when taking a corner for Marseille and had to be given police protection as he left the stadium.
Matches between PSG and Marseille require a massive security presence.
More than 5,000 police and security officers were deployed when the teams met in the French Cup final in May. But some Marseille fans were attacked by PSG hooligans near a Paris railway station, while rival PSG thugs used glass bottles, belts and bats in another battle.
Last season, Marseille turned up to Parc des Princes with a reserve team and no fans in protest at its ticket allocation and due to concerns that Marseille fans' safety could not be guaranteed. _________________

| 21 arrested after man dies in 'fight between rival football fans' - 10/09/2006
Source: Associated Press
Twenty-one people were today under arrest as part of a murder investigation after a man died in a suspected fight between rival football fans.
Duncan Frame, 52, of Plumstead, south east London, was found unconscious after a mass brawl in a pub in Thamesmead, south east London, on Saturday night.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich but was pronounced dead on arrival, Scotland Yard said.
Police and paramedics were called to the Cutty Sark pub on Joyce Dawson Way at 11.30pm after what was described as a "large disturbance".
Mr Frame had been taking part in a charity evening at the pub when the disturbance broke out.
Detectives are actively investigating the possibility that the brawl was a stand-off between football hooligans.
A spokeswoman for the Metropolitan Police added that inquiries were continuing into whether or not the brawl had been pre-arranged.
"Although we retain an open mind regarding the motive, one possible line of inquiry is that the fight was between rival groups of football fans, from Tottenham and Charlton Athletic," Scotland Yard said.
Police said that they are treating Mr Frame's death as murder and have set up an incident room in Barking, east London.
A post-mortem was taking place at Greenwich Mortuary today.
A total of 21 men, including several who were themselves injured, have been arrested over the incident.
One is under arrest in hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries while the other 20 are in custody at police stations in the capital.
Greenwich Borough Commander Peter Lowton, said: "I would like to reassure the public following this tragic death.
"We will be working closely with the community to bring those responsible to justice."
Police are urging anyone who was in Joyce Dawson Way or Thamesmead town centre between 9.30pm and midnight last night to call the incident room on 020 8345 3775. *********************************************************** Source: BBC

| CSKA Sofia - Levski Sofia - 17/09/2006Source: Sofia News Agency + Focus Information Agency Mass Melees Usher Football Derby in BulgariaFootball fans and police officers have engaged in mass fights in Sofia minutes ahead of Bulgaria's derby between archenemies CSKA and Levski. Many have been injured in the fights, and more than 30 have been arrested. Reports of police brutality came from the centre of Sofia, where a café houses Levski's national fan club, that has been completely trashed. Eyewitnesses claim that CSKA fans attacked first, charging at the café with bottles and wooden stakes. Levski supporters stormed out of the café that houses the club's national fan club but encountered about 200 policemen who used brutal force to push them back in the building. Policemen trashed the whole café and locked the fans inside, BNR reported, mentioning that many have been wounded. "They beat us to a pulp, they trashed the whole place and even the fan club manager Zlatin Tepsiev is covered in blood," a fan told Gong radio. The policemen beat the hooligans black and blue, Darik News reported, quoting BGNES. Police there arrested 25 of the fans. Reporters claim that the officers of the law were extremely arrogant not only towards the hooligans but also towards passers-by and journalists. ******************************************************************************** “23 of the arrested football fans of Levski and CSKA have criminal police records”, Nikolay Grigorov, chief of regional department Police at the Sofia Police Department stated today, FOCUS Agency reporter announced. | Colon Santa Fé - Velez Sarsfield - 16/09/2006Source: Reuters Argentine match halted after missile hits linesmanAn Argentine first division match was suspended in the first half after a linesman was hit by an object thrown from the crowd. The Colon-Velez Sarsfield match, played in Santa Fe on Saturday night, was the third game in Argentina which has failed to finish since the season started last month. Referee Saul Laberni stopped play in the 42nd minute after the object, identified by local media as a cigarette lighter, hit the linesman, cause a cut on his face. The fan who threw the object was attacked by other supporters and arrested by police. Colon were winning 1-0 at the time with a first minute goal from striker Sebastian Malandra. "The party was wrecked by a delinquent," said Colon president German Lerche. "It was an isolated incident. "I want to point out the behaviour of the other fans, who helped to get him arrested...The aggressor will never again enter our stadium." Argentine football is plagued by crowd violence. In August, the match between newly-promoted Godoy Cruz and Arsenal in Mendoza was called off after only 17 minutes as home supporters rioted and fought with police. The supporters were angry because the club refused demands to provide free transport to the match for them. Last Sunday, the game between Gimnasia-La Plata and Boca Juniors was abandoned at halftime when referee Daniel Gimenez said he was threatened by the president of the home club, Juan Jose Munoz. Munoz, who denied making any threats but has admitted speaking to the referee in his dressing room, has since gone on leave until the Argentine Football Association (AFA) reaches a decision on the incident. A further three matches were called off by crowd violence in the Clausura championship played in the first half of the year. _________________ | |

| 'Suicide Squad' Hooligans Get Three-Year Ban - 19/09/2006
Source: Burnley Today TWO former members of notorious football gang the "Suicide Squad" have been banned from football grounds throughout the country. Adrian Porter (42), of Emily Street, and William Harbour (40), of Olympia Street, appeared before Reedley magistrates last Thursday and both received three-year football banning orders. The pair were arrested as part of Lancashire Police's Operation Fixture while attempting to board a plane to Germany for the World Cup. Porter is the brother of Andrew Porter who wrote "The Story of a Hooligan Firm", a gritty book depicting the Suicide Squad's involvement in football related violence throughout the years. Sgt Colin Hudson, of Operation Fixture, said: "They were arrested at John Lennon Airport in Liverpool attempting to travel to Germany. Although they were not on football banning orders they had been involved in international football disorders before and we felt that they posed a threat to the World Cup. They had been intelligence profiled before the World Cup meaning that under legislation they could be arrested and sent to court." Magistrates banned Porter and Harbour from Turf Moor and told them that they were not allowed within the vicinity of the ground or certain areas of Burnley town centre on match days three hours before and three hours after the game. They are also banned from travelling to any city or town where Burnley are playing. _________________
