Hardcore of 109 Russian hooligans banned from all World Cup matches - 12/10/2017
Source: http://www.mirror.co.uk/
The yobs - including one woman - were identified by Russia's Ministry of Internal Affairs as being the worst offenders and will receive a 15-day prison sentence or a £325 fine if they breach the orders
A hardcore of 109 Russian football hooligans – including one woman – have been banned from all matches at next year’s World Cup . Authorities are determined to crack down on the thugs after brutal clashes in Marseille before and after the England versus Russia match during Euro 2016 .
A blacklist naming the violent fans was leaked online today. Russia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs originally identified 2,750 troublemakers. The figure was cut to 297 when Russian supporters’ groups tightened control over their members.
Now this list of 109 identifies the worst offenders, who will be barred from all 12 host stadiums during the World Cup. Violation of the banning orders will result in a 15-day prison sentence or a £325 fine. Moscow police public order chief, Andrey Zakharov, said he was confident of his team’s ability to handle the influx of one million fans from 31 countries next June and July.
He said: “It doesn’t really matter to us how many fans will come. As many as come, we are ready to ensure their security during the World Cup. It is definitely safe for British fans to come here.
“Those fans who arrived in Moscow for the Champions League matches, we deployed police to meet them, implemented all the measures according to the information we had. There is nothing to be afraid of.”

Roma fans clash with police in west London ahead of Champions League match against Chelsea
Police clashed with Roma fans in west London on Wednesday night, as tempers flared ahead of the Italian club’s Champions League match against Chelsea.
A large number of uniformed police officers were seen clashing with the supporters down High Street Kensington, in the hours ahead of the Group C match.
Bystanders saw a number of supporters throwing punches at the police, who responded by kettling the travelling fans and escorting them down the road towards Earls Court.
Around 10 police vans arrived to quell the disruption, which briefly brought the busy road to a standstill during rush-hour. The Metropolitan Police confirmed to The Independent that one arrest had been made after the incident, which took place shortly before 6.00pm.

Incredible moment furious Coventry City football fan invades pitch to rant at players during 1-0 defeat
This is the incredible moment a furious football fan took part in a one-man pitch invasion to berate his team's player face-to-face The bizarre rant took place during Coventry City 's 1-0 League Two loss to Forest Green last night.
Amazingly the fan was able to make it onto the pitch unchallenged by ANY security. Coventry City confirmed to the Mirror this morning that an investigation has been launched into the incident. Footage shared online shows the fan was able to freely chase, scream and even tussle with the players who 'strong-armed' him off - with no police or stewards in sight.
Coventry captain Michael Doyle eventually pushed him off the pitch before the game could continue. The unnamed fan even climbed back over the barrier before a steward could be seen trying to steer him back towards his seat.
It is a criminal offence to enter the field of play - and those who do face heavy fines and even stadium bans - and it is a matter for police. Coventry City said in a statement this morning: "Following the pitch incursion by a supporter at last night’s game against Forest Green Rovers, Coventry City Football Club will investigate the incident alongside the stadium safety team at the Ricoh Arena, and review the existing procedures in place for CCFC matchdays."

Everton supporter holding a CHILD joins brawl as Ashley Williams fights Lyon players in outrageous on-field melee
THIS is the disgraceful moment an Everton yob — carrying a dummy-sucking child — attacks Lyon keeper Anthony Lopes during a shameful 20-player brawl. Everton face a Uefa probe after the sickening scenes, involving players and fans, marred last night’s 2-1 Europa League defeat.
The second-half melee was sparked by Toffees captain Ashley Williams’ forearm smash into Lopes’ stomach, sending him crashing into advertising boards. Players brawled in front of the crowd as fans in the stand — including the child-carrying dad — dashed to get involved and started lashing out. He TWICE hit Lopes in the face, while Williams threw TWO punches and striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin grabbed defender Kenny Tete by the throat. Even young goalkeeper Jordan Pickford sprinted the length of the pitch to join in.
And Williams then had to be hauled away by a member of Everton’s coaching staff. Merseyside Police said in a statement: "Merseyside Police can confirm officers are investigating following a disturbance on the pitch during a football match between Everton and Lyon at Goodison Park last night, Thursday 19 October. "Detectives will be reviewing footage and speaking to witnesses to establish what, if any, offences have been committed.
Former Goodison defender Martin Keown accused Williams of stirring up crowd violence. He said: “Williams has incited trouble with the fans and the stewards got involved. “The referee should be sending people off. “There is a professional line which you don’t cross and they have.” Incredibly, Williams refused to apologise. He said: "It's high emotions. We want to win the game, they want to win the game and stuff happens. “It’s football, it is what it is. It’s one of those times.”

Everton identify and ban fan involved in player brawl during Lyon match - 20/10/2017
Source: http://www.independent.co.uk/
Everton have identified and banned a fan who became involved in a player brawl during the 2-1 defeat by Lyon on Thursday night, with Uefa charging the Merseyside club with failing to control their supporters.
A rash challenge by Everton defender Ashley Williams on Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes led to a melee between both sets of players that spilled towards the Howard Kendall Gwladys Street End stand, where fans were within touching distance of the brawl.
A club statement issued on Friday morning read: “Club officials have reviewed the footage of an incident that occurred in the 64th minute of the game against Olympique Lyonnaise where supporters towards the front of the lower Gwladys Street End became involved in a confrontation between players.
“We have identified one individual whom action will now be taken against. This will include a ban from attending future Everton fixtures and the club registering a formal complaint with Merseyside Police.”
The statement came just minutes after Merseyside Police confirmed they are investigating the incident. The statement read: “Merseyside Police can confirm officers are investigating following a disturbance on the pitch during a football match between Everton and Lyon at Goodison Park last night, Thursday 19th October. Detectives will be reviewing footage and speaking to witnesses to establish what, if any, offences have been committed.

Spartak Moscow facing partial stadium closure for monkey chants at Liverpool youngster - 20/10/2017
Source: http://www.irishexaminer.com/
Spartak Moscow have been hit with a partial stadium closure by UEFA for 'racist behaviour' towards Liverpool striker Bobby Adekanye during last month's Youth League match.
A section of the Russian club's fans directed monkey chants at the 18-year-old attacker in the 2-1 defeat suffered by Steven Gerrard's side at Spartak's academy on September 26.
UEFA's control, ethics and disciplinary body (CEDB) upheld Liverpool's subsequent complaint and a section of Spartak's stadium will be closed for their next home game in Europe.
A UEFA statement read: "The CEDB has decided to order the partial closure of the FC Spartak Moskva Stadium during the next UEFA competition match in which FC Spartak Moskva would play as the host team. "FC Spartak Moskva shall inform at least seven days prior to the match, the sector(s) to be closed, which shall at least comprehend 500 seats."
Spartak have been directed to "display a banner with the wording '#EqualGame', with the UEFA logo on it" in the section closed to supporters.
The Russian champions have also been fined 33,000 euros for holding up a 'UEFA Mafia' banner, setting off fireworks and blocking stairways during their Champions League clash at home to the Reds last month.
