| England : Police arrest hooligans after violent disorder at Rotherham football match - 17/04/2015
Source: http://www.thestar.co.uk/
Police have arrested six people in connection with hooliganism at a football match in Rotherham.
Officers from South Yorkshire Police and the Metropolitan Police made arrests over two days as part of an investigation into Rotherham United’s Championship game against Millwall in February.
Followers of the London side clashed with police officers and stewards as they tried to reach home fans inside Rotherham’s New York Stadium after Millwall fell behind in the 85th minute.
Missiles were hurled at fans and there were further clashes outside.
A number of stewards and police officers sustained minor injuries during the incident.
A 43-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy from Rotherham were arrested on Wednesday, April 15, on suspicion of violent disorder and have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service made a number of arrests in the London area on Thursday.
Four men, aged between 16 and 47-years-old, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and have also been bailed pending further enquiries.
Police officers are continuing their investigations to try and identify the other thugs involved in the disorder.
Detective Inspector Steven Ashmore said: “These arrests form part of our extensive investigation into the disorder that followed the match in February.
“Our work is ongoing to identify those involved and further arrests are planned.
“We continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward and assist us with enquiries.”

| England : Shocking CCTV shows the moment QPR football hooligans attacked rival fans outside west London bar - 17/04/2015Source: http://www.standard.co.uk/ QPR football hooligans have been jailed for their part in violence that saw rival fans attacked outside a west London pub. Police today released shocking CCTV footage of the incident which shows fans smashing the windows of the Plough and Harrow pub in Hammersmith before a major street brawl. The incident occurred after QPR’s Championship match against Burnley FC on February 1 2014. Today four men were jailed for their part in the disorder at Isleworth Crown Court. The court heard how Harry Childs, 18, Jack Hutchins, 21, Dean Foreman, 27, and Bradley Pack, 22, gathered outside the Plough and Harrow Public House shortly before 17:00hrs, where a number of Burnley supporters were having a post-match drink. Whilst outside the venue, the group confronted Burnley supporters through the windows. Moments after the shouting escalated to violence and the pub's window being kicked and shattered by Childs. A number of people were then assaulted and punched outside the pub. In fear of the violence spreading into the premises, the pub manager locked the glass front doors and called 999. The CCTV then shows the group making their way up Kings Street and fighting another group of Burnley fans. Speaking after today's sentencing, Chief Inspector Simon Causer said: "This kind of behaviour is entirely unacceptable to the police, the thousands of law-abiding and genuine football fans, the clubs and the general public. Our hope is that, in light of these convictions and sentences, perpetrators will think very carefully about the consequences of their actions before carrying out football violence.” A spokesperson for QPR, said: “The vast majority of QPR fans are excellent ambassadors and passionate supporters. However the club takes a zero tolerance position to violence in or around the stadium and will continue to fully cooperate with the police in these rare instances.” Football violence in the capital has dropped in recent years, despite a number of recent high-profile incidents at train stations. British Transport Police (BTP) chief constable Paul Crowther today suggested that football hooligans were terrorising train passengers with “casual thuggery” every week. Figures released by BTP show there has been 630 soccer-related incidents on the UK transport network for this football season so far, including a number with a racial element. PC Paul Todd, from the Met's Central Football Unit, said: "Football violence has reduced over the years but there are still a minority that insist on putting people at risk by fighting in busy streets near members of public. People arrested for football violence do not only get a criminal record but can also receive an order preventing them from attending football matches in the future." Harry Childs, 18 of Billericay, was sentenced to eight months imprisonment; Jack Hutchins, 21 of Kings Langley, was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment; Dean Foreman, 27 of Northolt, was sentenced to one year’s imprisonment; Bradley Pack, 22 of Hemel Hempstead, was sentenced to 30 weeks imprisonment. All four men also received six-year Football Banning Orders under section 23 of the Football Spectators Act 1989. | |

| Italy : Ultras attack Cagliari squad - 17/04/2015
Source: http://www.football-italia.net/
There are reports hooligans broke into the Cagliari training retreat, threatening and even attacking players and staff.
The Sardinians were put into the retreat to best prepare for Sunday’s Serie A match against Napoli.
According to sources including ItaSportPress and La Gazzetta dello Sport, around 30 ultras broke into the Assemini retreat and threatened the squad.
There are even reports of physical attacks on players and staff members in the form of slaps to the face, while some squad members fought back.
Sky Sport Italia suggest the fans arrived in the club house during dinner and demanded respect for the shirt, but then became furious when some players turned their backs.
The incident apparently occurred at 19.00 UK time (18.00 GMT), though the news only leaked out late into the evening. News agency ANSA claim the club "confirmed the story."
Coach Zdenek Zeman held the usual morning training session, then cancelled the afternoon get-together, though the reason was not known.
A statement was on the Cagliari website outlining the training schedule, but made no mention of any incident.
Cagliari are in penultimate place in the Serie A table on 21 points, eight adrift of Atalanta and safety.

| Russia : Spartak fined and fans banned from two away games - 14/04/2015Source: https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com Spartak Moscow have been fined a total 650,000 roubles (£8,549) by the Russian Football Union after racist slogans were displayed on a banner in a violence-marred league match against Arsenal Tula this month. The match, won 1-0 by Tula, was also marred by violence in the stands with Spartak fans climbing on to the roof of the stadium and throwing flares and other objects at rival supporters. "Due to the public display by their supporters of a banner, which included racist symbols (a Celtic cross), Spartak have been fined 200,000 roubles," the Russian Football Union's website stated. "The club will also be banned from having supporters attend their next two away games (this will not include women and children up to the age of 12) in the Russian Premier League." Speaking to reporters, the head of the Disciplinary Committee, Artur Grigoryants, said: "Russia has signed up to all the necessary documents supporting the fight against racism and discrimination. "A swastika and a Celtic cross are two of the main symbols, which are absolutely necessary to banish from the walls within a stadium along with banners with these emblems," he added. Arsenal Tula were also fined 840,000 roubles with the bulk of that sum for failing to provide adequate safety measures, leading to a supporter falling off the roof of the stadium and breaking both his arms. Arsenal will also be forced to play their next Russian Premier League home match at a neutral venue. | |

Officers were alerted to the incident at Vale Park on Friday where the device was fired. But Staffordshire Police has told The Sentinel the matter of the flare had been "dealt with". Our Sentinel photographer captured images of officers escorting fans, thought to be Preston fans down Hamil Road following the game, but the force says no arrests were made. A spokesman for the police said: "It was policed match due to the high importance of the game but there were no other issues throughout. "A flare was let off outside the ground which was dealt with. | Brazil : Eight Corinthians fans gunned down in Brazil - 19/04/2015Source: http://www.india.com/ Armed men gunned down eight members of a fan club of the popular Brazilian football team Corinthians, though police on Sunday ruled out linking the murders to a fight between the supporters of rival teams. The murders occurred after 11 p.m. on Saturday in front of the Pavilhao Nove fan club’s headquarters in the city of Sao Paulo, Spanish news agency Efe reported. Police found seven bodies lying in the street in front of the fan club’s headquarters. Another man was found wounded at a nearby gas station and taken to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his bullet injuries, a Sao Paulo militarised police spokesman told Efe. The eight victims were all fans of Corinthians, said the police, who still have no clues as to who committed the massacre, although a hypothesis that it was a settling of drug scores was being considered, given that two of the dead had records of drug trafficking. The civil police official in charge of the case, Arlindo Jose Negrao Vaz, ruled out that the killings could be the result of a fight between groups of football hooligans. According to Vaz, three men entered the fan club’s headquarters, ordered the victims to the ground and killed them in the style of an execution. A number of 9 mm shell casings were found at the scene. Police are analysing security camera footage from the nearby gas station, to which the mortally wounded man had fled, for clues that may help in solving the case.

| England : Millers crowd trouble, six arrests - 20/04/2015Source: http://www.rotherhamadvertiser.co.uk/ SIX people have been arrested by police investigating crowd trouble at Rotherham United’s clash with Millwall earlier this season. Detectives arrested the suspects — four from London and two from Rotherham — in a two-day operation last Wednesday and Thursday and bailed them all pending further enquiries. The joint investigation by South Yorkshire Police and the Metropolitan Police Service was launched after trouble at the Championship match at the New York Stadium on February 28. A 43-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy from Rotherham were arrested on Wednesday on suspicion of violent disorder and released on police bail. The following day, Metropolitan Police officers arrested four men aged betweeen 16 and 47 on the same charge and bailed them. Trouble at the match saw fans from both sides attempting to cross the netting between the south stand and the east and west stands. Several stewards were reportedly attacked, leading to extra police resources being deployed to restore order. There was also trouble outside the stadium, with several stewards and police officers suffering minor injuries. Det Insp Steven Ashmore said: “These arrests form part of our extensive investigation into the disorder that followed the match in February. “Our work is ongoing to identify those involved and further arrests are planned. “We continue to appeal for anyone with information to come forward and assist us with enquiries.” | |

One San Martin fan discovered...dead
One San Martin de San Juan supporter who watched the game opposing his team to Olimpo, was discovered in a trash bin which was set in fire at 2am. He was burned and his head was almost cutted. The man is nicknamed "El Cata" and is a member of the local barra brava. Police are sure he was killed by a rival mob, especially because a fight opposed the two mobs at half time, in the stadium. One man was arrested.
