Three Ipswich fans arrested as police issue East Anglian derby warning - 28/02/2015
Source : http://www.norwichadvertiser24.co.uk/
Police have warned troublemarkers at tomorrow’s match they will face the full force of the law after three Ipswich fans were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder yesterday.
The three men, who are all from Ipswich and aged 25, 22 and 21, were arrested yesterday and are currently being held for questioning after the incident which took place outside a pub prior to Town’s away match against Rotherham on February 7.
Ch Supt Nick Davison, said: “These arrests give us the opportunity to reiterate our message ahead of the East Anglian Derby this weekend.
“This is a great local derby event with healthy rivalry between two family friendly clubs and supporters and the joint police operation has been developed to ensure everyone has a great day out and the vast majority of fans will enjoy the event in the right spirit.”
Upon arrival at Norwich Train Station, officers will direct Ipswich supporters out of the side exit to the stadium - via Lower Clarence Road, Clarence Road and Carrow Road.
Should the route become overcrowded short road closures will be put in place to assist fans – residents who may need access to access their vehicle between 12pm and 7pm have been advised to park elsewhere.
At the end of the game officers will again be on hand to direct Ipswich supporters to the rail station and coach park along the same route.
Norwich supporters can expect a short delay as police officers deploy across the pedestrian concourse and roads between the Holiday Inn hotel and STS TYRE PROS.

Newcastle & Villa fans clash and Police nowhere to be seen
At the end of Saturday's match Newcastle and Villa fans clashed outside the Leazes End with Police nowhere to be seen.
A quick word about the fans of Villa, it was a nice touch for them to air a banner showing respect for John Alder and Liam Sweeney. In fact it should really have put to bed once and for all the animosity that the likes of me feek towards them following the events of May 2009, and in my eyes it has. However, the skirmishing underneath the Leazes End at full time suggests a lot of ill feeling still exists between some fans of the two clubs!
In scenes similar to when we played Leicester up here earlier this season, stewards and waist high temporary fencing was all that was between the warring factions , and inevitably some trouble occurred.

Police to investigate fan violence at Sydney A-League derby
The violence that marred the Sydney A-League derby on Saturday will be investigated by police.
Parramatta police were told on Monday that four Sydney FC fans were attacked by a large group of men, believed to be Western Sydney Wanderers supporters, in the Parramatta CBD after the match on Saturday night.
Fairfax Media understands a small number of fans were set upon by a group of up to 30 men wearing black clothing bearing the insignia of a supporters' group while walking from Pirtek stadium to Parramatta station.
Two people are understood to have sustained considerable injuries and were taken to hospital. One man reportedly suffered a broken foot and another man a broken wrist.
"It has been alleged four Sydney FC supporters were attacked by a number of Western Sydney Wanderers supporters after the game. An investigation is under way and any assistance anybody could provide will be appreciated," Inspector Peterson of Parramatta Police said.
Several flares were also lit, with at least one being thrown towards the pitch, which is likely to result in multi-year bans for those involved. FFA is looking into all incidents.

Police intervened because Ajax hooligans have planned to confront Feyenoord rivals after their fans home was set to fire in January. So police intervened as a large Ajax mob mobbed up, many with weapons. Finally, only one 35 years old man was arrested because he carried a weapon in his car.
