A fan of Valencia suffered an attack of epilepsy at the end of the meeting after the chaos created when the swollen valencianista was attacked in an ambush caused by radical supporters of FC Barcelona and failed to stop the security forces. This fan was treated and transferred by ambulance.

| Luton Town - Millwall FC - 28/02/2008

Which stupid fool threw the flare?
A SMALL section of Millwall's fans could relegate the team through thuggish behaviour.
The stark warning comes from Lions chiefs who have seen the club referred to the FA for investigation four times this season.
The latest incident saw a flare being thrown on to the pitch from the Millwall stand during the away game at Luton on Tuesday.
Now chairman John Berylson is appealing for fans to grass-up the "mindless yob" who caused the game to be temporarily stopped.
The FA has the power to dock league points that could see the club relegated from League One - their current 18th position sees them only two points from safety.
Mr Berylson, writing exclusively for the South London Press, said: "This is not my club. It does not belong to the staff or the players - it belongs to the fans. It is your team - and you are the ones who look likely to suffer as a result of this blindly stupid fool.
"The only people who will benefit are those who want to damage this club - our rivals in League One and the people who have always wanted to see us closed down."
The FA has talked to the club this season after a riot at the first game of the season in Doncaster, toilets destroyed in Leyton Orient's ground's away stand, and a coin thrown from a home stand hitting the ref at The Den during the win against Southend on February 12.
Millwall Supporters' chairman Bob Asprey said he was urging the person who threw the flare to own up.
He added: "Clearly the behaviour of a small minority of fans could jeopardise our fight against relegation. We must do all that's possible to make sure it doesn't happen again."
An FA spokesman said the governing body had open-ended powers, including the ability to dock a club league points for fans' bad behaviour.
He added: "We're aware of this latest incident and are investigating by asking both clubs for a full report on what happened. We're also looking at previous incidents concerning Millwall and are working with the club."

| Disciplinary proceedings begin for Bolton - 29/02/2008Source : Setanta Sports Uefa have opened disciplinary proceedings against Bolton and Atletico Madrid after crowd trouble marred their Uefa Cup tie on February 21. Fighting broke out inside the Vicente Calderon during the goalless draw, which saw 17 away supporters injured, as Bolton qualified 1-0 on aggregate against the Spaniards. Bolton were quick to focus the blame on the Spanish police, believing their fans had been on the receiving end of a 'number of assaults and unprovoked baton charges before, during and after the game'. Official reports have now been submitted to the Uefa control and disciplinary body, who will come up with a decision at their next meeting on March 20. Spanish police have described the problems as 'just the usual at any football game' and failed to respond to Bolton's allegations. But the incident was witnessed by Greater Manchester Police's chief superintendant David Lea, who was inside the ground on the night. He believes Bolton are not at fault and has vowed to help the club compile a report to Uefa, after thinking that the throwing out of Madrid fans sparked the resulting problems. "That incident has probably set the tone for the policing of the whole match and unfortunately the Madrid police have a reputation for not taking dissent very well," he said. He also blames senior officers for a number of incidents that resulted in the police being 'heavy handed' with Bolton fans. "They didn't have enough control over their junior officers who were far too quick to use their batons rather than talking to the fans who would comply with their instructions. "Lessons need to be learned and I will make sure that my observations will be captured in a full report." This is not the first time that Spanish police have been involved in these sorts of problems. Aberdeen wrote to Uefa after believing their fans were mistreated during their group game with Atletico in November and last April Tottenham fans were injured in Sevilla, after clashes with riot police. | |

MADRID, February 27 (RIA Novosti) - Three Russian soccer fans arrested last week after fighting with Spanish police during a UEFA Cup match will remain in custody until their trial, a court spokesman said on Wednesday.
The incident involving Russian soccer fans and Spanish police took place on February 21 during the soccer match between Russia's Zenit and Spanish club Villareal at the El Madrigal stadium.
"The court ruled that the three Russians be remanded in custody for assaulting police," the spokesman said adding that a trial date had not been set.
Zenit, coached by Dutch trainer Dick Advocaat, lost to Villarreal 1-2 (agg 2-2) in the UEFA away match last Thursday, with the Russian club going through to the next round on the away goal rule.

| SK Brann Bergen - Everton FC - 13/02/2008Source: http://www.independent.co.uk + Getty Images Howard escapes pool ball 'scandal'Everton captain Phil Neville tells an over enthusiastic fan to leave the pitch after a group of supporters came on at the final wistleThe SK Brann fans at Wednesday's Uefa Cup match with Everton seemed a decent and spirited bunch, much like their footballers, until one of them threw a pool ball at Tim Howard. "Scandal" was the blazing front-page headline in one of Norway's major newspapers yesterday, above a photograph of Everton's captain, Phil Neville, handing the ball to the match referee with an incredulous look on his face. Anton Genov, the referee, is certain to mention the incident when he hands in his official report and this is likely to lead to some kind of disciplinary action. Everton will come under scrutiny themselves because a dozen fans invaded the pitch at the end, although Brann might be blamed for not stewarding properly. Fines rather than anything more severe are expected if Uefa charges are pressed. Everton were poor, especially in the first half, but still came away with a 2-0 cushion that should see them through to the last 16 after next week's last-32 second-leg at Goodison. Leon Osman, and then Victor Anichebe late on, got the goals in a contest ultimately settled by a couple of moments of superiority against hosts who tried hard but were ponderous in the final third of the field. Everton's Ayegbeni Yakubu has said that he has apologised to his "angry" manager and team-mates for returning late last week from the African Nations Cup. He claims the side have the momentum to lift the trophy, saying: "We want this to be a great season for Everton football club."
