Sampdoria fans revolt after record negative start

Sampdoria are in crisis and their fans rebelled against the team and club after a fifth consecutive home defeat left them languishing in penultimate place.

The Blucerchiati were beaten 2-0 at Marassi by Lecce this evening, with goals from Lorenzo Colombo and Lameck Banda.

The crowd jeered loudly at the final whistle and unleashed a series of insulting chants, including some that were threatening in nature.

Fabio Quagliarella had tears in his eyes as he observed the scene, but the situation deteriorated when the ultras blocked the exits to the stadium and refused to let the team leave.

Police had to form a protective cordon to ensure nobody broke in and went to the locker rooms.

Match stopped after misbehavior Charleroi fans, tennis balls and fireworks on the field

The match of the 17th day of the Jupiler Pro League between Charleroi and Mechelen was definitively stopped after 67 minutes of play by jets of smoke from Charleroi supporters while the Zèbres led 1-0 on Saturday.

The Charleroi supporters began by disrupting the start of the match by throwing tennis balls and smoke bombs on the field to protest against their team’s latest results.

After 14 minutes of play, the meeting was this time interrupted for 10 minutes for new jets of smoke from the Charleroi supporters. Sporting supporters did it again after 67 minutes by throwing smoke bombs, forcing referee Jasper Vergoote to put an end to the match, which should lead to a defeat by forfeit of the Zebres.

A Stade Lavallois supporter arrested during the match following the throwing of a projectile at the referee

When the second half resumes, the players of both teams are ready. But the kick-off is delayed. The three referees and the delegates return to the locker room. Crisis meeting. A projectile was projected in the direction of the referee. According to several sources, it was a plastic bag filled with some trash. A man in his sixties was identified and then arrested inside the stadium. The man is in police custody according to information from France Bleu Mayenne.

The match was on the verge of being abandoned in the first half after Rapid fans set off pyrotechnics immediately after the first goal and threw a smoke bomb onto the pitch. Referee Stefan Ebner stopped the game for seven minutes, sent both teams into the locker room and threatened to stop the game if there was another incident.

A few minutes from the end, Boulenger definitely offered victory to his people with a pretty head. This is when it degenerated, the pseudo Louvièrois supporters invaded the field to go to battle with their opponents. The match was logically suspended for 20 minutes as provided for in the regulations. But at the end of these, the referee finally decided to abandon the game definitively. Really sad for what was supposed to be a party.

Six arrested as Grimsby Town play Doncaster Rovers in Cleethorpes



Six people have been arrested as Grimsby Town played Doncaster Rovers at Blundell Park in Cleethorpes today. Humberside Police told GrimsbyLive tonight that five people were arrested before the game and one person was arrested during it.

At this stage, police have not said what they were arrested for - the suspects remain in police custody as enquiries continue. Doncaster won the match 3-1.

According to officers, a "small minority" of home and away fans met in the Cleethorpes area after the game. Groups of police were deployed but no further arrests were made.

Bayern fans spelled out an expletive on a pitch-side barrier fence to protest the 70 euros ticket price they had to pay at the stadium of Czech opponent Viktoria Plzeň on Oct. 12.

That’s the maximum price traveling fans can be charged to attend a Champions League game since UEFA set the limit three years ago.

UEFA fined Bayern 15,000 euros for a disciplinary charge of a “provocative message of an offensive nature.”



Celtic was fined 17,500 euros for the club’s second disciplinary case this season of displaying a slogan opposing the British monarchy.

The banner at a home game against Leipzig on Oct. 11 read: “Against hunger and the crown.”

Celtic has historic links to the republican movement in Ireland and many fans traditionally oppose the British monarchy.

Club Brugge once again condemn racist chants by fans

In an open letter published on its website on Saturday, Club Brugge once again denounced discriminatory and defamatory chants by its supporters, Belga News Agency reports.

"Club Brugge, together with its players, staff, employees and the various supporters' groups and federations, would like to put an end to these chants by means of this open letter," wrote the management of the Bruges side.

The club wants to put an end to its discriminatory and defamatory chants, "because this does not reflect the values that the Belgian champions want to defend."

"We are a family club, warm and we want to support our team. Hurting certain sections of the population is not one of them. Colour, rank, origin or conviction has never mattered to us and never will."
