Several Racing Genk supporters were, it seems, slightly wounded

The Laatste Nieuws Belgian newspaper said Genk supporters on the road to the stadium were attacked by Napoli supporters armed with hammers and machetes.
Some busses' windows were smashed up and some fans slightly wounded.

PSG and Galatasaray fans clash before game

Paris St Germain and Galatasaray supporters clashed briefly outside the French side's stadium before the teams' Champions League Group A meeting on Wednesday, according to police sources.

Police intervened quickly, the sources said, adding that one supporter had been taken to hospital having sustained a minor head injury.

According to newspaper Le Parisien, police fired teargas to disperse the crowd, which appeared to be confirmed by internet footage.

Violent clashes in Paris mar Champions League tie as one PSG fan is beaten and stripped by Galatasaray supporters after allegedly burning the Turkish flag

Violent clashes in the centre of Paris marred the build-up to Wednesday night's Champions League clash between PSG and Galatasaray.

Chairs were thrown and teargas was used to disperse the two sets of supporters at around 6pm in the evening.

It is estimated by French media that 100 fans, dressed mostly in black jackets and balaclavas, were involved in the incidents.

One person is reported to have suffered a head injury, according to Le Parisien.

Videos were posted on social media throughout the afternoon and evening.

One shows chairs being chucked around while another shows what appears to be a flare thrown into a busy square of people.

A third video shows a group, clad in all black, rushing down a side street with chairs and weapons in their hands.

A fourth video emerged later in the evening showing a naked PSG fan who had been attacked and forced to strip by Galatasaray fans after reportedly burning a Turkish flag.

It is the first time the two teams have met in Paris for 18 years, which resulted in violent clashes in the stands at the Parc des Princes.

Red Star alert as police protect sports minister from angry fans

Maracineanu was escorted away from the Stade Bauer in Saint-Ouen, north-western Paris, after around a dozen supporters started insulting and mocking her over President Emmanuel Macron's plans for pension reforms in France.

Police removed the former Olympic swimmer who was showered with water as she made her escape in a car.

"We will decide what action to take," said Red Star president Patrice Haddad. "It will be fair and firm. We want to talk to the leaders of supporters groups about this unacceptable incident.

"Everyone has the right to their opinions," he added. "But I won't tolerate such physical or political disturbances. They're completely against the values of respect and tolerance that this club makes apparent to the very youngest of its members."

After Maracineanu left the stadium, Red Star completed a 1-0 victory over their opponents to rise to fourth in the National - France's third division.

"There was a kind of collective hysteria which got a bit nasty," said a spokesperson for Maracineanu. "It descended into: 'Macron, resign' and police decided to take her away from the stadium."

Angry supporters attempt to invade presidential gallery

Toulouse ultras tried to invade the presidential grandstand of the Stadium this Saturday, at the end of the lost match (1-0) against Reims on the 18th day of Ligue 1. But they were contained by the security services of the club.

"We're going to Ligue 2," chanted a handful of Toulouse fans, some of whom tried before the end of the game to enter the lawn and go to the lodges, where the club management watched the match, claiming the resignation of deputy chairman Jean-François Soucasse. They were contained and the match was not interrupted.

Toulouse lost 1-0 to Reims (fifth provisional) and had their eighth straight defeat this season in the league. The Toulousains' last victory dates back to mid-October against Lille (2-0).

Police authorities said Standard supporters were attacked by Anderlecht rivals when they arrived to the stadium.

Eight people were wounded during these troubles anf four of them, including one policeman, were sent to the hospital.
One Anderlecht fan was also arrested.
