Black Country yob gets five-year football ban after Euro 2016 violence - 03/12/2016
Source : http://www.expressandstar.com/
A football yob who was involved in the Euro 2016 violence with other England fans from the Black Country has been slapped with a five-year football ban.
The lengthy rap sheet of Walsall fan Samuel Cadman, 30, who has convictions dating back to 2007, was read out to Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court before he was handed the ban in his absence.
Prosecutor Shanaz Anwar, on behalf of West Midlands Police, said: “He was served a notice for this hearing on November 20.
“He had been seen at a recent match between MK Dons and Walsall. An officer saw him at the match. He told the defendant he would process the banning order.
“In January 2007 at Galton Bridge train Station in Smethwick, he was arrested for violent disorder after joining Walsall fans who were in a confrontation with Shrewsbury Town supporters.
“In May 2008 he was charged with being drunk and disorderly in Walsall town centre.
“He was issued with a football banning order for five years in May 2009.
“The following July he was charged with using threatening or abusive words to incite violence, and later that year he was convicted of violent disorder.
“There was another conviction for inciting violence an being drunk and disorderly in 2011 and in 2012 he got into an argument with another male in Yates’ in Leicester Street, Walsall. “
He told police it was because he was talking to a female. A fight broke out and he punched the injured party to the floor who hit his head and lost consciousness. He then ran from the scene.
Ms Anwar added: “In February 2013 he was convicted of burglary and was sentenced to 18 weeks in prison.
He was also convicted of producing and possessing cannabis.
“After the Tranmere Rovers against Walsall match outside Prenton Park he was trying to engage with other rival fans and incite violence. And after a match at Barnsley later in the year he was at the front of a group of fans.
"They were shouting at each other when police arrived. Both groups ran off in different directions. Cadman was seen to punch and kick other males. He then ran and punched a police constable.
“He was also seen causing trouble after the match against Chesterfield away in March this year.
“He was at the Euros in France this year. He first went to Spain to meet up with West Bromwich Albion fans and then they went to France.
"He caused disorder in the cities where England were playing against Russia, Slovakia and Wales. He was identified among a group of fans who were throwing bottles towards rival supporters.
“Given his record it is in the interest of other supporters, businesses and members of the general public that he is banned.”
Cadman, of Crankhall Lane Wednesbury, has been ordered not to enter Walsall town centre or any town or city where Walsall FC is playing matches for three hours before, during, or three hours after matches. He will also have to pay £205 in court costs.

Metz vs Lyon abandoned after firecracker explodes underneath goalkeeper
The Ligue 1 match between Metz and Lyon at Stade Saint-Symphorien was abandoned after just 30 minutes on Saturday after home supporters threw firecrackers at visiting goalkeeper Anthony Lopes.
Metz had taken the lead through Gauthier Hein just before play was interrupted at the Stade Saint-Symphorien, with the first firecracker landing in the six-yard box and knocking Lopes to the ground.
As players and medical staff rushed over to the incident another firecracker landed next to the Lyon goalkeeper, who was lying on the floor, before exploding towards him and one of the club's doctors.
The game was officially called off after a 45-minute delay and the incident could now lead to Metz forfeiting the match and Lyon being awarded the win.
Lopes, who was born in France and came through the ranks at Lyon, was taken to a hospital to undergo tests, according to his club.
Lyon’s president, Jean-Michel Aulas, said: “At best, he suffered very significant tinnitus. He has no balance and doesn’t really know where he is. At worst, his eardrum may be affected.
“This is so serious, so shameful. Security must be provided by the host club. We saw things that are unacceptable and unthinkable. I expect a strong reaction from the LFP and FFF [Fédération Française de Football].”
Lopes' team-mate Maxwel Cornet said: “We were worried about Antho, we hope everything will be fine for him.”
The Ligue de Football Professionnel, French football's governing body, announced that it will conduct an investigation, adding: “The LFP regrets this incident, and will be uncompromising in dealing with it.”

During handball champions league game Motor - Besiktas, our scouts counted 25 men activly supporting Besiktas. We (W.T.F.) were 10 men with 2 cars and headed their way. Just about our arriving a scout called us and said 10 Besiktas are heading towards their cars. We parked and instantly attacked them. All down, we took their flag. Just when we are back to our cars we got info from 2nd scout who followed 15 Besiktas to a train station from where they'll go to Kiev. We go slowly around the platform to avoid cops, finally we see them and attack em with screams Kharkiv Hooligans. Half of them are down, others run from us and some of us trying to catch them. We regrouped after a while and we heard/see in distance more turks starting to scream something. Came closer they started throwing everything at us. We try to attack despite our unfair situation, but they didnt move any forward to us, so we decide we go away now, since cops are waited any moment. Seeing us going away, they once agian didnt try move/catch towards us. In this fight we took one more flag, so finally with some minor injuries by throwed objects we went for a group photo."

England : West Ham ban 94 fans following trouble at London Stadium - 05/12/2016
Source : http://www.skysports.com/
West Ham have so far banned 94 fans from attending their matches at London Stadium following a troubled start to life at their new home, Sky Sports News HQ can reveal.
Crowd disturbances have marred the Hammers' move to the former Olympic Stadium, most notably against Chelsea in the EFL Cup when riot police were deployed inside the venue.
West Ham and London Stadium vowed to ban 200 supporters following the violence against Chelsea and Sky Sports News HQ can confirm that nearly half of that number have been banned, with footage also shared with Chelsea to help identify their supporters involved.
Every supporter issued with a banning order has the right to appeal and their claim will be considered by an independent panel, which has been set up by stadium operators, LS185.
The panel includes a safety officer from another stadium, who will consider the appeal and deem whether it should be upheld.
SSNHQ understand there are a number of active cases and a number of appeals currently pending.
If successful in overturning their bans, supporters could be reimbursed for the matches they missed.

SS Lazio - AS Roma - 04/12/2016
Source : https://www.thepeninsulaqatar.com/
Rome derby fan boycott looms again
AS Roma fans have said they will boycott Sunday's derby against Lazio for the third time in a row, once again taking the gloss of what used to be one of Europe's most passionate fixtures.
The hardcore supporters who occupy the Curva Sud (south curve) at Rome's Olympic stadium are protesting against security measures they say are destroying their fan culture.
On the other hand, Lazio fans, who also boycotted the previous derby in March, are expected to end their protest, with Italian media reporting that their part of the stadium had been sold out for Sunday's meeting.
In purely football terms, it is one of the most eagerly derbies in the last few seasons with only one point between them and Lazio looking to beat their neighbours for the first time since the 2013 Coppa Italia final -- a run of six games.
Roma are second in Serie A, four points behind leaders Juventus, while Lazio are a further point adrift in fourth after winning six and drawing three of their last nine matches.
Roma fans, however, are still angry after local authorities installed barriers which split the Curva Sud.
Fans say the barriers limit their view of the pitch and divide groups of supporters who used to sit together.
They also say they have been banned from waving flags and banners and even get fined for sitting in the wrong seats.
Leaders of the club's organised fan groups have instead invited supporters to watch the game on a giant screen at a sports centre.
Roma's chief executive Umberto Gandini said the club, which does not own the stadium, would again try to convince the authorities to compromise.
"All we can do is keep raising the issue with the authorities as to the need to consider the supporters peacefully returning to the stadium," he said.
"We're not having the experience we're used to at the Stadio Olimpico, whereas we have a huge turnout on the road. The club supports this request, which comes directly from the players who would like to play in a setting they deserve."
Giovanni Malago, head of the Italian Olympic Committee, admitted it was "not a good advertisement" for Rome's image to have large spaces in the stadium at its showpiece soccer match.
However, there was little sympathy from Carlo Tavecchio, head of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC).
"If the fans want to go to the stadium, they will go," he said. "They don't worry about whether there is a barrier there or not, the important thing is that we are reducing the acts of violence which had become intolerable.
West Ham fans hurt in brawl with AS Roma fans after derby clash
Two West Ham fans were hurt during a brawl with some supporters of AS Roma in Rome yesterday after the final whistle of the derby clash, Italian press agency Ansa reports.
The fight happened in front of a restaurant close to Ponte Milvio, in the area of the Stadio Olimpico in late night and two AS Roma fans are said to be responsible for the aggression at the English fans. Residents that witnessed the fight have told police that two AS Roma fans were involved in the brawl as one of them has a tattoo of the Serie A side that won the ‘derby della capitale’ yesterday.
Italian police have opened investigation over the brawl.
As one ambulance reached the spot of the fight, one of the two English fans was medicated shortly after the brawl and was not taken to the hospital as his conditions were not worrying.
His compatriot, on the other hand, was hit in the head and was taken to the hospital where he was found him in possession of cocaine and charged by police. The twinning between Lazio and West Ham fans could be the reason behind yesterday night’s fight though police are still investigating.

Referee Serge Gumienny ended the match in the 81st minute after a third incident with fans. Standard Liege were leading 3-1 at Charleroi.
Gumienny had already interrupted the match after visiting Standard Liege fans twice set off flares and threw coins, lighters and bottles onto the pitch. When Charleroi fans did likewise late in the game, the referee whistled for the end.
Gumienny said he could no longer guarantee the security of the players.
League authorities will now decide what happens with the result.
The fixture was also marred by hooliganism last season.

Fans stabbed in Kiev before Champions League tie
Ten people were treated in hospital for knife wounds after hundreds of Dynamo Kiev and Besiktas fans clashed in the Ukrainian capital before Tuesday's Champions League match, local media reported.
Around 600 fans were involved in clashes near the Olympiyskiy stadium, which will host the 2018 Champions League final, before Dynamo's 6-0 victory, Football 1 channel reported.
The Turkish supporters were attacked by Ukrainian rivals while approaching the stadium with knives and bats being used in the clashes, reports said.
Local media also reported a few smaller clashes in other parts of the city.
"These clashes between Dynamo Kiev and Besiktas supporters were the consequence of the wrong risk assessment and security measures before the game," Markiyan Lubkivskiy, the former director of the Euro 2012 organising committee, wrote on Facebook.
"I have insider information there will be a harsh reaction from UEFA with sanctions applied to both clubs. UEFA executives are worried because of violence in the host city of the Champions league 2018 final game."
Besiktas's hopes of reaching the Champions League knockout stage were crushed when they had two players sent off in the mauling by previously winless Dynamo.
Despite the frosty weather, the atmosphere in the stands during the game was heated as Besiktas fans threw fireworks and missiles before clashing with police.
A few visiting fans also made their way into the media tribune, dancing on the tables and destroying some seats.

Around 4,000 supporters of Brendan Rodgers’ side made their way south for the clash, with the majority well behaved. However, reports later emerged of visiting supporters letting off fireworks on a tram, causing a nuisance in home areas of the stadium and of a group who tried to storm a gate to gain entry to City’s ground.

Spurs V CSKA Moscow: Arrests after steward attacked
CSKA are known for their gang of Ultras – the Gallant Steeds – who have caused havoc throughout Europe and it was feared they would turn up in London to cause trouble.
Many Tottenham fans avoided the trip to Russia in the reverse-fixture for fears they would be attacked by CSKA hooligans – who have expressed their hatred for Jewish people.
Several videos have been released of the firm scrapping with rival Ultra groups in Europe.
Two people were arrested after a steward was attacked and unrest broke out at Wembly last night.
A Met Police spokesman said that a CSKA fan and a Spurs fan were arrested in isolated incidents.
He added: “Two people were arrested at the match.
“One was for assault on a steward and one for a public order offence having failed to comply with stewards and security staff.”
Spurs went on to win the match 3-1 after goals from Harry Kane and Delle Ali cancelled out CSKA’s opener.
But the win was not enough for Tottenham to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition, and they will now move into the Europa League.

Manchester United fans pelted with bricks, bottles and fireworks by Ukrainian soccer thugs
Manchester United fans were pelted with bricks and bottles and had fireworks blasted at them by Ukrainian soccer thugs tonight.
The yobs were waiting for the fans when they arrived at the Chonomorets Stadium in Odessa ahead of United’s Europa League clash with Zorya Luhansk.
One supporter claimed that fans were herded towards the ground only to be met with a hail of missiles.
He said: “They were waiting for us at the stadium and we walked into hail of missiles. All hell broke loose. They fired bricks and bottles at us and fired fireworks.
“They came out of nowhere and all of a sudden we were under attack. I got hit him myself but luckily I only got a few cuts.”
But the fan, who did not want to be identified, said he saw other United supporters receiving more serious injuries.
He added: “I saw people who were in front of me being carried away and one was knocked out. The missiles were just dropping out of the sky and coming down on top of us.”
The fans had been warned to expect trouble but were shocked at the level of violence that awaited them at the stadium.
To make the situation worse, the stadium is within a short walking distance from the city centre and is located within a wooded park where the lighting is very poor.
Ajax's Europa League tie at Standard Liege marred by crowd trouble as away fans launch flares onto the pitch
Ajax's crunch Europa League tie at Standard Liege was marred by crowd trouble on Thursday, as supporters threw multiple flares onto the pitch. Scottish referee Bobby Madden was forced to halt play just five minutes into the match when Ajax supporters - in an apparent act of revenge - lit flares and threw them onto the playing surface.
Various reports noted that Ajax supporters were getting their own back after flares thrown by Standard Liege fans in the reverse fixture prompted angry scenes in Amsterdam two months ago.
Arriving in Belgium knowing the home side needed a result to qualify, they disrupted the tie within a few minutes of kick-off, and the players were asked to return to the changing rooms. Flares were lit in the upper tier of the away supporters, and thrown down onto the pitch below as players gathered in the penalty area.
Things threatened to get uglier when one supporter then threw another flare into the home supporters, but segregation stopped them colliding. The match, when it eventually got back underway, finished 1-1, meaning Standard Liege were sent crashing out.
