Belgium : Thousands march in Brussels against UN migration pact - 16/12/2018
Source : https://www.channelnewsasia.com/
Thousands of people (may Belgium hooligans) marched in Brussels on Sunday against a UN pact aimed at fostering cooperation on migration, eclipsing a smaller demonstration in support of the deal, the signing of which brought down Belgium's government last week.
Police said some 5,500 people marched in the bigger protest, organised by Flemish right wing parties in the part of the capital where main European Union institutions are located.
A separate counter-demonstration of around 1,000 people, organised by left-wing groups and non-governmental organisations, took place in the city centre.
Belgian right-wing N-VA, which is the biggest party in parliament, pulled its ministers from the ruling coalition last week after Prime Minister Charles Michel refused its demand that he not sign the UN migration compact in Marrakesh.

Chelsea ‘told four YEARS ago about fan who accused of shouting racist abuse at Raheem Sterling’ - 16/12/2018
Source : https://www.thesun.co.uk/
CHELSEA were told four years ago about a fan who allegedly shouted racist abuse at Raheem Sterling, another supporter has claimed.
Josh Smaller said he warned the Premier League club about a man spouting abusive language during Chelsea’s home clash with Man Utd in January 2014.
Mr Smaller, who was at the match with his then 10-year-old son, said he recognised the fan to be Colin Wing – who is accused of calling City-star Sterling a “black cunt”, reports the Times.
Wing, 60, who is believed to have lost his job with BT over the row, denies calling the England international a racial slur and insists he said “Manc cunts”.
Mr Smaller was standing in the Matthew Harding Stand at Stamford Bridge, where Mr Wing was filmed shouting at Sterling, when he allegedly heard the racist language.
He claimed there was a gang of fans three or four rows back that launched a tirade of abuse including “Fucking black cunt” as well as offensive terms for Hispanic people.
He added that the group were spouting “every swear word going”.
The majority of the comments were directed at the visiting team – but Mr Smaller claims that slurs were also hurled at former Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.
The father and son were so disturbed by the comments that after the match they wrote to Chelsea to report what was heard.
They received a reply thanking them and asking for more information on identifying the offending fans – but heard no more of the matter.
Mr Smaller was watching Chelsea’s Premier League clash with City last weekend when both he and his son recognised a man they believe was Colin Wing.
The claims come after The Sun revealed that Wing had comments on his Twitter account mocking the murder of Stephen Lawrence.
An account linked to the dad-of-two tweeted: “Wont be a day of mourning in my house’’ on a thread suggesting a memorial to 18-year-old Stephen, stabbed by racists in London in 1993.
The account also liked the Facebook page of radical right-wing group Traditional Britain, which said Stephen’s mum Baroness Lawrence should be “sent back to her homeland’’.
In another post, below an article on two men accused of murder but who could not be named, a comment read: “What’s the betting the names start with Moh.. and they’re paedo-loving bacon dodgers.”
Wing has not been seen at his home in Beckenham, Kent, since film emerged of him yelling at Sterling. Police are investigating. Chelsea have suspended four fans.
explanation The club said: “We find all forms of discriminatory behaviour abhorrent.” They said ticket holders taking part in racist behaviour face severe sanctions including bans.
The club has been hit with more racism shame over the last week after fans were seen holding up a flag showing a Nazi symbol before their game against MOL Vidi.
The image was shared on social media, and it mentions the notorious hooligan group the "Chelsea Headhunters".

England : Three-year football ban for this Stoke City fan who told police to 'fuck off' ahead of trouble-plagued Potteries derby - 19/12/2018
Source : https://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/
Staffordshire Police have made 18 arrests after Vale Park away end and toilets trashed.
Stoke City fan Jason Green has been banned from football matches for three years - after he abused a police officer ahead of this month's trouble-plagued Potteries derby.
The 34-year-old was walking to the Checkatrade Trophy clash between Stoke City under-21s and Port Vale at Vale Park when officers asked him - and a large group of other Potters supporters - not to go into Burslem town centre.
But magistrates heard Green ignored the police and told an officer to 'fuck off' before he was taken to the ground and arrested.
North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard the fans were moving towards Burslem from Middleport when the incident happened at 5.20pm on December 4.
Prosecutor Ruth Bentley said: "In order to diffuse any disorder, officers asked the group not to move any further. There was a lot of shouting.
"An officer approached this defendant who was moving in the direction of the town centre, where he had been told not to go. He was told to stay there.
"He said, 'I will go if I want'. He was warned that if he did not comply he would be arrested. He said, 'I'm only going about my business, I just want to go to the game'. He then told the officer to 'fuck off'.
"The officer detained the defendant who tried to pull away from him. He was eventually taken to the floor where he was arrested for a public order offence."
The cup match was marred with trouble as seats in the Vale Park away end were ripped up, the toilets destroyed and flares thrown onto the pitch. A total of 18 fans have so far been arrested and Staffordshire Police yesterday released images of 15 other men they want to speak to in connection with trouble at the match.
Green, of Highfield Avenue, Newcastle, pleaded guilty to using threatening, abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
Lee Yates, mitigating, said Green was not involved in the disorder which happened during and after the game.
He said: "Mr Green was arrested two hours before the match. This defendant simply indicated that he wanted to go the way he had always planned to go. He offered no violence to the officers or anyone else.
"It is extremely unfortunate that Mr Green now finds himself before the court in connection with such a widely-publicised incident."
Magistrates fined Green £230, plus £135 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. He was also given the three-year football banning order which prohibits him from attending any Stoke City or England matches over that period.

Police investigate after Tottenham player hit on head by bottle at Arsenal
Police are investigating an incident that saw Tottenham's Dele Alli struck on the head by a plastic bottle during their 2-0 win at Arsenal on Wednesday.
The bottle was thrown from the crowd at Emirates Stadium during the Carabao Cup quarter-final.
England midfielder Alli, 22, was hit near the touchline as Arsenal prepared to take a throw-in in the 73rd minute.
The Metropolitan Police says it is working with Arsenal to try to identify the person responsible.
Arsenal have told BBC Sport they are examining CCTV to find the person who threw the bottle, but police say no arrests have been made.
The Football Association is aware of the incident and will support the police and clubs as they look into the matter.
Alli will face no action for responding with a 2-0 gesture to fans - referencing the scoreline.
"In a different country, maybe they close the stadium for a few games," said Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino.
"It's lucky it wasn't a big problem but I think people need to be careful, and we need to try and avoid this type of action. Some people behave very bad."
Alli had earlier scored the second goal and Spurs went on to reach the semi-finals with a 2-0 victory.
Wednesday's incident follows a banana skin being thrown towards Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the Premier League match between the sides at the same venue on 2 December.
The Spurs fan responsible was fined and banned from football for four years on Tuesday.
BBC Radio 5 live pundit Dion Dublin, who was co-commentating on the game, said: "It's sad to see. It's mindless. Why would you do that?
"It must have had water or something in it to reach Dele Alli. Why would you risk being idiots?
"Just support your club, don't do ridiculous things like that."
When asked about the incident after the game, Alli told Sky Sports: "It is what it is. It made the goal a bit sweeter and the win."
An EFL spokesperson told BBC Sport the matter would be up to the Football Association to investigate, but they would "assist" if required.
