Russia: Football fan dies 'after breaking neck' in brutal street fight between rival hooligan firms - 24/11/2017

Source : http://www.mirror.co.uk/

A football fan died after he suffered 'a broken neck and cracked temple' in a brutal street fight between rival hooligan groups.
Dad-of-one Eduard Samyshkin, 30, is reported to have died from injuries sustained in the pre-arranged brawl, said to be over a banner, flags and scarves.

He was one of several fans connected to the FC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk firm, who were taking on FC Sibir Novosibirsk ultras in an organised scrap.
The Sibir hooligans, on home turf, apparently won the battle, with at least 10 of their rivals floored in the late night battle.

A witness said: "One Kransnoyarsk man did not get to his feet afterwards.
"But he was dead, his temple cracked and his neck broken."
The fatality is a severe blow to Vladimir Putin's bid to keep the lid on his nation's hooligan problem in the run-up to next year's FIFA World Cup in Russia.

It comes after a crackdown by the FSB security service and police on football trouble ahead of Russia hosting the finals.
Major fights and crowd disturbances have been virtually absent in recent months, and known ultra hooligans have been bluntly warned to behave.

Putin's law enforcement chiefs are determined to avoid a rerun of the Battle of Marseilles fights between Russian and English fans at Euro 2016.

Samyshkin's death was in Novosibirsk - Russia's third largest city and unofficial capital of Siberia - which is not a World Cup venue, but it is an alarm to the Kremlin authorities.
His wife posted a message saying he was "a loving father and the best-ever husband".
She wrote: "A tragedy happened in our family."

The battle was over a banner, flags and scarves that Sibir's fans had won from their rivals in September.
Yenisey supporters challenged them to the city centre fight in a bid to get them back, according to fans.
The fight was on 18 November but was not previously reported.

Aregentina: Boca Juniors ultra nicknamed 'The Bear' murdered in his own home after being shot SEVEN times at point blank range- 23/11/2017

Source : http://www.mirror.co.uk/

A chief Boca Juniors ultra nicknamed 'The Bear' was shot seven times at point blank range as he was assassinated in his own home.
Gustavo 'El Oso' Adolfo Pereyra, said to be no.2 in Boca's Barras Brava, was shot in his Buenos Aires home, Argentina, on Tuesday night.

He was at home with his mother, Elva Lucia Perez, when the gunman entered the property in the suburb of Claypole, reports infobae.com .
She told police that a bald, fat man arrived at the property and asked to speak to her son.
Leaving the two men alone, she told officers that she went into the kitchen, but moments later heard several gunshots.

She found her son on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds all over his body. He was rushed to Hospital Dr Arturo Oñativia, where he was pronounced dead.
Police discovered eight bullet casings from a 9mm caliber weapon, although it is thought that Pereyra was shot seven times.
Officers will now examine CCTV footage in the area.

Pereyra, a former bodyguard of boxer Rodrigo 'Hyena' Barrios, was second-in-command to Rafael Di Zeo, but the pair had become estranged.

The 49-year-old was barred from Boca's Bombonera stadium.
In March, 1999, both Pereyra and Di Zeo were sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison for football violence.
A postmortem examination will now be carried out on Pereyra's body.

Everton fined €30,000 over fan trouble against Lyon - 22/11/2017

Source :  https://www.fourfourtwo.com/

After an Everton fan appeared to strike Lyon goalkeeper Anthony Lopes during a Europa League game, the Premier League side have been fined.

Everton have been fined €30,000 (£26,656) after crowd trouble during last month's Europa League game against Lyon at Goodison Park.
After Everton defender Ashley Williams clashed with Lyon's Anthony Lopes, a fan in the Everton end - who was holding a child - appeared to strike the goalkeeper on the forehead.
Everton confirmed they would ban the supporter involved in the incident, but a UEFA charge has led to the Premier League club being issued with a fine.
The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body confirmed on Wednesday that Everton have been ordered to pay €30,000 due to "aggressions by supporters against players".

A statement from Everton released at the time said: "Club officials have reviewed the footage of an incident that occurred in the 64th minute of the game against Olympique Lyonnais where supporters towards the front of the lower Gwladys Street End became involved in a confrontation between players.
"We have identified one individual whom action will now be taken against. This will include a ban from attending future Everton fixtures and the club registering a formal complaint with Merseyside Police."

Brazil: Ponte Preta - EC Vitória - 26/11/2017

Source: https://af.reuters.com/ + https://www.gazetaesportiva.com/

Pitch invasion forces abandonment of Brazilian Serie A game

A Brazilian first division match between Ponte Preta and visitors Vitoria was abandoned with eight minutes remaining on Sunday when Ponte fans invaded the pitch after their side went 3-2 behind, a result that left them relegated.
Ponte fans in the 13,000 sell-out crowd tore down parts of the wire fencing and charged on to the pitch, with angry supporters surrounding goalkeeper Aranha.

Most of the other players ran from the field and, although the referee waited almost an hour in the hope of restarting the game, officials ruled that the players’ safety could not be guaranteed and abandoned the match.

Police hit fans with batons and fired percussion grenades to subdue the crowd, said local news reports.
“I’d like to thank the true Ponte Preta fans that came, applauded and supported us but I can’t condone the pitch invasion,” said Ponte’s president Vanderlei Pereira.
“I know everybody was on edge, no one likes to get relegated like that, but there’s no justification for vandalism.”
The result means that with one game of the season left, Ponte Preta will be relegated to Serie B.

Five football fans arrested over clash between Tottenham and Crystal Palace supporters outside Wembley - 29/11/2017

Source :  http://www.mirror.co.uk/

All of the arrests on suspicion of violent disorder were made on Tuesday after CCTV was used to identify suspects

Five men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder after an investigation into a clash between Tottenham and Crystal Palace fans outside Wembley Stadium on November 5.
Fans were caught fighting on camera on Empire Way after Spurs beat their London rivals 1-0 through a goal from Son Heung-Min.

Police say all of the five arrests came after the suspects were identified by CCTV.
The incident occurred at about 3.15pm after the 12pm kick-off, with police confirming opposing fans were involved.
"Following identification of the suspects, officers from the Met's Central Football Unit carried out the arrests at a series of addresses in south London and Kent on the morning of Tuesday, 28 November," a statement said.

"The five arrested on suspicion of violent disorder are: [A] a 31-year-old man, [B] a 44-year-old man, [C] a 21-year-old man, [D] a 21-year-old man, and [E] a 24-year-old man."

All of the suspects have been released on bail.
Police Sergeant Dave Hine of the Met's Football Policing Unit said: "It is a priority for us to ensure that the public are not inconvenienced or alarmed by the behaviour of disorderly people either before or after football matches.

"Today's arrests clearly demonstrate the continued efforts of police to identify and apprehend those who are intent on causing violence and disorder at football matches."

Brighton & Hove Albion - Crystal Palace - 28/11/2017

Source :  http://www.mirror.co.uk/

Brighton steward suffers broken ribs in violence at Crystal Palace match involving fans 'with knives and knuckledusters'

Disorder caused by fans around Brighton's match against Crystal Palace on Tuesday has been described as a "return to the dark days of football" by Sussex Police.

Chief Inspector Simon Nelson, who led the policing operation for the fixture, described how "groups of masked people" sought confrontation and supporters tried to gain entry to the Amex Stadium with "pyrotechnics, knives and knuckledusters".

Nelson also revealed that at one stage a large number of people, seemingly without tickets, over-ran turnstiles in the ground's south stand to force access to the away supporters' section.

Disturbances also broke out at Brighton railway station, where frustration grew among fans set to miss the start of the match.
Six people, including one 15-year-old boy, were arrested, while two stewards - one from each club - had to be taken to hospital, one with three fractured ribs.

Both stewards were discharged later on Tuesday night.
Nelson said: "I have been involved in football policing at all levels and have been a match commander for Albion matches for 12 years, but I have never come across such concerted attempts to cause disorder and engage in violent behaviour."
Nelson added: "This was a return to the dark days of football and is not acceptable."

Palace have said there are clear images of the disturbance and that fans involved will face stadium bans and possible criminal action.

A Crystal Palace statement read: "We have been made aware of a small group of supporters attempting to gain access to the Amex stadium last night without tickets while using bangers and flares.
"This kind of antisocial and criminal behaviour is completely unacceptable and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms.
"There are very clear images of the incident and we will work with the police to identify the supporters involved, who will face stadium bans as well as potential criminal proceedings.
"We would like to apologise to all the innocent supporters who arrived at the stadium with tickets but were denied entry and to the two stewards who were injured at the ground. We wish them a full and speedy recovery."
Brighton chose to close the stadium's turnstiles at 7.51pm, six minutes into the match, which finished goalless.
That decision left some fans with legitimate tickets locked outside the ground, and they were escorted back to the railway station and sent back to London.
Palace said any supporters with unscanned tickets, who were denied entry to the match, could contact the club for a refund.

Brighton chief executive Paul Barber said: "Firstly, we hope the two stewards hospitalised in the disorder have not suffered serious injuries.
"The disorder was caused by a minority of individuals who attempted to gain entry to the stadium without tickets.

Argentina: Club Atletico Juventud - Independiente de Chivilcoy - 26/11/2017

Source: The Sun

'SERIOUS INJURIES' Shocking moment football hooligans attack a referee and his two linesmen during a violent pitch invasion

Trouble flared after Mr Amiconi sent off one of Juventud’s players in the crunch match against Independiente de Chivilcoy

THIS is the shocking moment football hooligans attacked a referee and his two linesmen during a violent pitch invasion.

Supporters of Argentinian side Club Atletico Juventud went after the match officials as their home side were losing 1-0.

Extraordinary footage showed them chasing down the match officials and punching and kicking them as they shouted insults at them.

Some hooligans even threw flares at ref Bruno Amiconi as he lay on the ground during the vicious assault.

One of the match officials was later pictured bruised and battered in his dressing room with blood from his wounds spattered over a toilet and the floor.

All three had to be taken to hospital. The referee needed 10 stitches for a head wound. His linesman Marcelo Acosta and Mauricio Luna are also said to have suffered serious injuries.

Trouble flared after Mr Amiconi sent off one of Juventud’s players in the crunch match against Independiente de Chivilcoy.

As well as attacking the match officials as fans from the home team, who play in Pergamino a three-hour drive north west of the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires, vented their anger against the visitors’ team coach by smashing its windows with stones.

Last night Juventud, which like its rival plays in a regional Buenos Aires province league, was facing the possibility of a ban over the violence.

One Juventud fan appeared to justify what had happened afterwards on social media, claiming: “I’m from the area and Juventud supporters are not violent. Families go to see them and they applaud when others deserve to win.

“They got angry because when you’re robbed these things happen. Honest clubs like ours break their balls to participate and get teams together.”

But he was slapped down by angry Cristina Gonzalez who replied: “Are you trying to justify this? I’m ashamed. Look at the photos. It’s pathetic. It’s not the first time referees make mistakes and it won’t be the last but nobody should react like this.”

Last weekend hooligans were filmed attacking children as young as 10 at an Argentinian football match in the province of Parana.

Eight youngsters ended up in hospital after they were mistaken for rival fans and assaulted along with the adults accompanying them.

The violence erupted when the children - from a football team given a regional government invite to the match - unfurled a flag mistaken for one belonging to home side Patronato’s rivals Union Santa Fe.

Several burly men - some shirtless - could be seen chasing the children off the terraces before punching an adult who was with them as he struggled to defend himself from a flurry of punches to the head.

The adult, the father of one of the boys, suffered a broken nose and one of the kids had to have three stitches to a knee injury.

Last December a referee was brutally attacked by angry fans after suspending a match in Argentina and red-carding several players as they insulted him.

Father-of-three Claudio Elichiri had to run for his life after being punched in the face and chased by the hooligans as a handful of officers did what little they could to protect him.

The local league president claimed afterwards it was a “miracle” he was alive as the crocked ref showed off his wounds including a nasty cut under his eye that required four stitches.

Five arrested after rivals clash following Spurs V Crystal Palace match in Wembley - 30/11/2017

Source: http://www.kilburntimes.co.uk/

Five men have been arrested after a Tottenham Hotspur v Crystal Palace match at Wembley Stadium descended into violence.

CCTV footage captured a clash between two rival groups of fans in Empire Way at around 3.15pm on November 5.

Officers from the Met’s Central Football Unit arrested all five men at a number of addresses in South London and Kent on November 28, Scotland Yard said.

The men, who are 44-years-old, 31-years-old, a 24-year-old and two 21-year-olds, were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Sgt Dave Hine of the Met’s Football Policing Unit said: “It is a priority for us to ensure that the public are not inconvenienced or alarmed by the behaviour of disorderly people either before or after football matches.

“Today’s arrests clearly demonstrate the continued efforts of police to identify and apprehend those who are intent on causing violence and disorder at football matches.”

Sudan : Al-Hilal - Al Merreikh - 29/11/2017

Hitler & 'Holocaust' banners unveiled at Sudanese football match

Sudanese football ultras unveiled a vile banner of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler before spelling out “Holocaust” at a recent match, using pyrotechnics to make the sick message visible.

Supporters of Al-Hilal Club, who currently sit 2nd in the Sudan Premier League, unraveled the banner of Hitler’s image during a crunch home fixture against top of the table Al Merreikh on Friday.

Supporters then spelled out the word “Holocaust” with separate smaller banners in the stands of Al-Hilal Stadium, before lighting flares so as to make the message visible in the dark.

The Holocaust was the World War II genocide in which Nazi Germany, under Hitler’s rule, attempted to systematically exterminate the Jewish people, which resulted in the deaths of six million European Jews.

It is reported that police did not interfere so as not to cause more disorder among the rowdy group, and television cameras did not broadcast images of that section of supporters.

However, Al-Hilal players approached the fans and asked the fans to take down the banners and extinguish the flares.
