| Coventry City - Port Vale - 26/12/2015Source : http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ Football fans arrested after disorder outside Ricoh Arena Two people were arrested after trouble flared between fans after Coventry City’s match against Port Vale. Police dealt with a couple of incidents outside the Ricoh Arena on Saturday after the Sky Blues’ 1-0 victory. Officers arrested a 21-year-old man from Coventry on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence, while a 23-year-old man from Warwick was arrested on suspicion of common assault. Both remain in police custody. A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “The vast majority of people attending matches are there to enjoy the opportunity of supporting their team, but there are a few who choose to display their ‘support’ through anti-social or criminal activity. “Football-related disorder and violence of this nature will not be tolerated and we work closely with security staff and club officials to identify and monitor ‘risk supporters’. “Offenders are dealt with strongly and we will always push for Football Banning Orders against these people.” | |

Darlington FC responds to arrests after Blyth pub violence
SIX Darlington football fans arrested after a man was injured and a pub was damaged following an away game on Monday have now been released on bail.
Five windows were smashed, a door was damaged and a man in his 40s suffered a gash to the head when trouble broke out at the Masons Arms pub in Plessey Road, Blyth.
It followed the Quakers 1-0 victory over Blyth Spartans at Croft Park nearby.
Pub landlord John Rouse said: “I have done this job for 30 years and have seen my fair share of trouble and bother over that time, but this is probably the worst I have seen for animal pack instinct.
“There were women and children in the pub at the time and was very distressing for them.
“It is very disappointing for Darlington because it reflects badly on them.
“It is going to cost £1,500 to repair the damage and it is over a football match. “It is ridiculous.”
Police were called to the pub just after at 5.30pm after receiving a report that a group of people had caused damage.
The arrests were made near the Tyne Tunnel after a coach carrying Darlington supporters was stopped by a convoy of officers in two police vans and eleven patrol cars.
A spokesman for Northumbria Police said: “Officers attended and found a number of windows had been smashed and one person had been assaulted and taken to hospital with a head injury.
“Enquiries were carried out and six men were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.”
There were two 17-year-olds, two 18-year-olds and two 26-year-olds.
Today a police spokesperson said: “All six have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.”
Darlington FC’s chief executive officer, Dave Mills, said: “The club would firstly like to state that it abhors violence and inappropriate behaviour of any kind, and secondly that any alleged incident of violence in a Blyth pub was not perpetrated by anyone travelling to the game on the official supporters coach.
“Darlington Football Club is adamant that it will not tolerate any acts of disorder from anyone purporting to support the club, or allow them to tarnish the good name of the club and the vast majority of its excellent supporters.
“The club has already made contact with the police and is aware that they are carrying out a full investigation. The club will await feedback from the police before deciding on any next steps.
“The club routinely takes a proactive stance on any potential inappropriate behaviour by issuing a statement periodically on its website, and anyone with information of this particular incident is urged to contact the police.”
At the start of the season one of two GoPro cameras used by Darlington FC to record goals at home matches was stolen during the second half of a win over Blyth Spartans from the open end of the Heritage Park ground, in Bishop Auckland.
It was returned by the Northumberland club, but not before fans raised hundreds of pounds to buy a replacement.

| Chesterfield FC - Coventry City - 28/12/2015Source : http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ Coventry City FC fan arrested after altercation with Chesterfield FC goalkeeperA Coventry City FC fan was arrested after an altercation with Chesterfield FC’s goalkeeper during Monday’s clash between the two teams. Video footage has emerged which appears to show the supporter on the pitch with his arm around Chesterfield keeper Tommy Lee before the player throws the man to the ground. Fintan Carey, 18, from Humber Avenue, Coventry, has now been charged with pitch invasion and has been bailed to appear at Northern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court in Chesterfield on January 22. A spokesman for Derbyshire Police said: "Carey was allegedly one of more than 100 people who encroached on the pitch before the final whistle blew. He was the only person arrested. "We are not aware of a complaint against the goalkeeper." The incident occurred as the Sky Blues scored a late equaliser against the League One strugglers via James Maddison's free-kick. Video footage seems to show about 20 supporters invaded the pitch and the restart of the game was delayed for about two minutes while stewards dealt with the incident involving the goalkeeper. A police investigation is now underway and it is not yet clear if the Chesterfield goalkeeper will face any action from the Football Association or his club. But Coventry City FC could now face disciplinary action from the FA for the behaviour of a handful of their supporters. More than 2,600 Sky Blues fans attended the game yesterday and, aside from a few ejections for drunkenness, police said the majority had behaved well. The club issued a statement appealing for fans to stay off the field of play in the future. A spokesman said: “The club would like to strongly remind all supporters to stay off the field of play following the events at Chesterfield. “While we understand the excitement around the goal and the celebrations after, fans must stay off the pitch at all times to not endanger any players on the field of play. “A small minority of our supporters entered the pitch following James Maddison’s goal and we ask all supporters to refrain from this sort of behaviour in the future as the club could face action from the FA. “Also, we’d like to thank the vast majority of our supporters who represented the Sky Blues in excellent fashion at the Proact Stadium yesterday.” Following the game, West Midlands Police’s football unit said on Twitter: “Great support for the travelling Sky Blues fans today. Majority of supporters were well behaved and enjoyed the day. “Several ejections due to drunkenness and one arrest for the incident on the pitch. Full investigation is underway.” The FA and Chesterfield FC have not yet responded to our requests for comment.

Two men arrested after Swansea City fans 'brawled' with rival supporters near Crystal Palace ground
TWO men have been arrested after Swansea City fans allegedly brawled with rival supporters after the goalless draw with Crystal Palace.
Witnesses reported around 50 people getting off a coach before brawling with people at The White Horse pub near Palace's Selhurst Park home ground on Monday.
According to reports, the two sets of fans clashed in the street for around 10 minutes before away supporters were forced back on to the coach, which then drove away.
People working in the area said vans full of police officers arrived and the road was closed. They said the coach was later stopped and two people were arrested. Swansea City say it has a zero tolerance policy towards unruly behaviour and anyone found guilty will face a ban from all grounds in the UK and potential court appearances.
A local takeaway owner, Junaid Ashraf, said: "I was working in the shop when a large group of people started fighting in the road outside.
"Some customers who had just left ran back into the store. They were frightened so I quickly closed the shutters.
"I asked whether any of the customers wanted to leave but they wanted to stay. I don't blame them. I was scared. The people outside were throwing glass bottles at each other."
Harry Patel, owner of a nearby convenience store, said the coach pulled up outside The White Horse at about 5pm.
He said about 50 people left the coach and went to the pub, where the fight happened.
Mr Patel described how people inside the pub, which did not suffer significant damage, were enlisted the help of staff from a car wash next door in the brawl.
He said: "They managed to push these guys back and then they started fighting in the street," he said.
"All traffic had stopped. Everyone was screaming. It was proper fighting. I've not seen anything like it and I was around when Crystal Palace played Millwall.
"It was really bad. All the shops put their shutters down. We didn't know what was happening.
"I feel really bad for the Palace fans and the people who run the pub. It was unprovoked. I'm glad no one was seriously hurt.
"Normally coaches come past with the police driving in front to make sure there's no trouble, but this time there were no police for quite a long time.
"After the coach drove away 10 police vans arrived and closed the road.
"They said they had followed the coach, stopped it and arrested some people."
A spokesman for Swansea City said: "We are currently awaiting the report from our local police contacts.
"However, we would be extremely disappointed if the reports are correct.
"We work hard, not only at the Liberty Stadium but travelling to away games as well, to make watching Swansea City a safe and enjoyable experience.
"The club will continue its zero tolerance policy with regard to any unsociable behaviour and anybody found guilty could not only find themselves banned from the Liberty Stadium and other grounds, but also facing criminal proceedings."
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at 5pm on December 28 to reports of a fight at The White Horse in Selhurst Road.
"Officers attended and two men aged 42 and 20 were arrested on suspicion of affray and were taken into custody at a South London police
"They have since been released on bail to dates in late March pending a further investigation into the incident."

| Glasgow Rangers - Hibernian FC - 28/12/2015Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/ Rangers vow to help police find supporters who made sectarian chants during Hibs winRangers have vowed to help police weed out the fans responsible for the sectarian chants heard during Monday's clash with Hibernian. The banned Billy Boys song made an unwelcome return during the Ladbrokes Championship clash at Ibrox, while another illicit song making mention of Easter Road boss Alan Stubbs was also clearly audible. The Scottish Professional Football League has already stated it will wait to see what its match delegate has to say before deciding whether to take action against the second-tier league leaders following their 4-2 win. But Ibrox chiefs have now admitted they were disappointed to see what they described as a 'minority' of supporters taking part in 'inappropriate singing'. In a statement, the club said: 'Rangers believes it is appropriate at this time to remind everyone of the club's position on anti-social behaviour within football grounds. 'The club operates a zero-tolerance policy and continues to work tirelessly via the Follow with Pride campaign while supporting all initiatives aimed at tackling this problem. 'The football authorities and Police Scotland know the club is committed to eradicating all forms of unacceptable behaviour and it is disappointing that a minority engaged in inappropriate singing during the match against Hibernian at Ibrox Stadium on Monday, December 28. 'At every home and away pre-match operations meeting unacceptable conduct is included on the agenda with the attention of both the police and stewards drawn to the need to deal with this matter robustly. 'The club will assist Police Scotland in identifying those responsible for the unacceptable behaviour on Monday.' In 2006, UEFA fined Rangers and also ordered the club to make a public announcement at all their home games pointing out the chanting of the Billy Boys was banned after it was heard during a Champions League clash with Villarreal. | |

| England : Manhunt after knife fight between Crystal Palace and Millwall fans - 13/12/2015
Source : http://www.london24.com/
Two groups, believed to be Millwall and Crystal Palace supporters, were watching football at the Gordon Arms pub on Park Road on December 13 2015.
They stayed in the pub after the game finished at 4.45pm but around 10pm, some of the fans became abuse.
Police say this turned into ‘an altercation’ which spilled out into the street, and one of the men is believed to have had a knife.
Three people were injured on the head, neck and arms.
Detective Constable Max Ndobho, from Bromley CID, said: “We are keen to speak to the men in the images. Anyone who knows their identity or whereabouts, or who witnessed the fight is asked to get in touch with us.”
