Seven Poles jailed for Napoli violence - 11/12/2015

Seven Polish football fans were jailed for three years on Friday following violence between Napoli and Legia Warsaw supporters around Thursday's Europa League match between the teams.

The seven were arrested on Thursday night for fighting with Napoli fans and were taken to the Poggioreale prison on Friday after being given sentences of three years and one month, the Italian AGI news agency reported.

Two Neapolitans and two Bulgarians were sentenced to house arrest for two years and four months while a third Neapolitan was given a three year, four month sentence.

Another 76 people, 60 of them Poles, were issued with stadium banning orders after extensive damage was done to the Garibaldi Square in Naples.

Those measures will last two years, according to the Naples police.

Napoli won the match 5-2 but 14 police were injured while trying to break up the violence.

Both clubs are known for their violent hooligan fringe.

Twenty supporters were arrested after troubles which broke out several hours before kick off.
The fight took place close to the Velada hotel and batons and bottles were used.
One Cadiz fan was sent to the hospital.

They kicked busses and used their belts. They also tried to open the doors.

After the game played in San Mamès, five away fans, from 27 to 36 years old, were assaulted by a dozen of troublemakers.
Four were wounded.
Zaragoza fans said no police were present.
It seems troublemakers belonged to the Herri Norte, Athletic ultras, classified as left extremists.
Zaragoza ones are right wing ones.

Police intervened before any troubles opposing Nice fans, Yomus Valencia friends, to Lyon supporters.
Local press said about forty Nice fans made the trip to Spain to confront with their rivals.
Police also said dozens of Lyon hardcore were also present so they have controlled them.
Weapons were seized in their busses.

Severe troubles have opposed Union supporters to police forces at the Duisburg train station.
Everything started when one man was arrested because he has stolen another man.
DUring these troubles one policeman was seriously assaulted and was sent to the hospital.
Police left the place for their safety.

Later, 180 policemen were called to arrest 272 supporters at the Hannover train station.

Chester FC fans assaulted after Telford match

Two Chester FC fans were assaulted after attending the Blues’ FA Trophy fixture with AFC Telford on Saturday (December 14).

The two separate incidents, which are not believed to be football-related, happened as the fans made their way back to Wellington train station.

The first incident happened on King Street between 5pm and 5.30pm, when the fans were attacked by five or six men.

The second incident, which police say is ‘possibly linked’ occurred between 5pm and 5.20pm on Regent Street.

A group of 12 to 15 males assaulted the fans.

All males are described as aged between 15 and 18 and of Asian appearance, one wearing an Arsenal football top, one wearing a jacket with a fur rim around the hood, another with a dark coloured ‘puffa’ jacket and one with possibly a ripped coat.

PC Butler said: “I do not believe at this stage that they are football-related incidents but respectfully request information. Luckily the injuries sustained were not as bad as they could have been.

“As the Safer Neighbourhood Officer for the College and Arleston area, it’s an incident that does not reflect our area, but one that does not reflect well on it, so I’m keen for the offenders to be identified, but I do really need your help.”

Football fans arrested for throwing rocks during match

Police arrested 11 fans of the  teams Maccabi Tel Aviv and Bnei Sachnin for throwing rocks during a match last night (Monday).

After the game, a number of Maccabi Tel Aviv fans went to the police station to ask for their friends' release. The station commander demanded that they leave the place. While most got on buses, some refused to leave the station. Police detained three more fans for their conduct.

The police opened an inquiry for try of homicide after a fan of Mönchengladbach was very seriously injured, during a fight which occured at the end of first half. The 29-year-old man, received 36 wounds at the head. He was evacuated towards the hospital with the aid of a helicopter. A suspicious, 36-year-old, also Gladbach fan, was arrested in the stadium.
