Panathinaikos docked points, fined over fan violence - 01/12/2015
Source : http://www.nzherald.co.nz/
Panathinaikos has been docked three points and fined for the fan violence that forced the referee to abort a Greek league match against Olympiakos.
Panathinaikos forfeited the game and was fined 190,000 euros ($200,000). The club will also have to play its next four home matches behind closed doors.
The decision follows the violence of Nov. 22, when home fans clashed with police before the game and threw flares at Olympiakos players as they walked out onto the field, injuring two people.
Panathinaikos is now fifth in the Greek league standings with 19 points from 12 games. Olympiakos leads with 36 points.

Celtic pub owner: I'm glad to be alive after being stamped on and clubbed with iron bar before Ajax game - 03/12/2015
Source : http://www.heraldscotland.com/
A Celtic bar owner who was attacked by Ajax thugs last week has spoken of his relief at surviving the ordeal.
Neil O'Donnell, who runs the Hoops bar in the Gallowgate, was left with numerous fractures to his face after Ajax fans stormed the area and attacked customers ahead of the team's clash against Celtic.
The Hoops Bar, Bar 67 and the Emerald Isle were all targeted by the hooligans, and a mass brawl spilled out onto the street last Thursday.
Seven men were injured, four needed to go to hospital and the pubs were damaged during the attack.
A week after the incident Mr O'Donnel recalled how he was glad to be alive after being stamped on outside his pub and hit with an iron bar.
He said: "At the time I was just happy to be alive, certainly from what everybody told me...as I don't remember being involved in anything other than coming out with this sore face.
"The police rescued me when I was lying face down on the floor unconscious. When the police arrived people were still stamping on my head.
"The injury to my face I'm told happened with an iron bar hitting me.
"I have fractured five or six different smaller bones in my cheek which has all been repaired.
"I've got three titanium plates in my face which is held together with six screws, unfortunately that is there permanently."

Italie : Furious fans deliver 50kg of carrots to Roma 'rabbits' - 01/12/2015
Source : http://www.standard.co.uk
It doesn’t pay to get on the bad side of AS Roma fans. In fact they can be real bunny boilers if they aren’t happy with your performance.
That’s what Rudi Garcia’s side found out to their cost at training earlier on Tuesday, when around 50 disaffected supporters arrived with enough carrots to comfortably feed their legion of rabbits in headlights.
It has been a disastrous seven days for the Gialorossi, who were humiliated at the Camp Nou a week ago, losing 6-1 after a magnificent performance by Barcelona. They were arguably worse on their return to domestic action, losing 2-0 at home to Atalanta as they slipped further behind the leaders in Serie A.
Frustrated Roma fans turned up at the club’s Trigoria training base with a 50 kilogram bag of carrots for the players as they held up a banner that read: “Enjoy your meal rabbits!”
After failing to build on back-to-back second place finishes in the previous two seasons, Garcia’s future at the Stadio Olimpico is reported to depend upon victory for Roma in their final Champions League group game at home to Bate Borisov, where only a win will secure their qualification.
The sense of crisis enveloping Roma was only increased on Monday when reports emerged that Arsenal loanee Wojciech Szczesny had been dropped for the Atalanta loss after being caught smoking - less than a year after he was reprimanded by Arsene Wenger for the same reason.
The club subsequently denied these reports, claiming that the decision to replace the Polish goalkeeper had been for "technical reasons".

Violence marred biggest match in Sporting Khalsa's history
Police have launched an appeal to trace supporters involved in violent scenes that tarnished the biggest game in a football team’s history.
Serious trouble blackened the occasion when Willenhall-based Sporting Khalsa took on visitors FC United of Manchester in an FA Cup qualifying fixture on October 24 at the club’s Aspray Arena.
Violence marred the game before and after the kick-off when gangs of hooded thugs fought and threw flares on to the pitch.
Water and a bin was also thrown at away supporters.
West Midlands Police has issued images of people it wants to talk to in connection with the trouble.

Chile: Colo Colo - Santiago Wanderers - 06/12/2015
Source : Youtube + Daily Mail
Violent clashes between Santiago Wanderers and Colo Colo fans sees match abandoned before kick-off... but away side still clinch Chilean Primera Division title after Universidad Catolica fail to win
Colo Colo were named Chilean Primera Division champions on Sunday after their closest rivals failed to keep the race alive, but the celebrations were muted due to crowd violence ahead of their game against Santiago Wanderers; meaning their crunch game was abandoned.
Fans from both sides invaded the pitch and fought with sticks, rocks and seats torn from the stands, with some launching fireworks at their rivals. At least one man was seriously injured in clashes outside the ground.
The referee called the players from the field before kick off and abandoned the match, as trouble continued to escalate at the Elias Figueroa Brander Stadium.
But the cancellation didn't matter, as Colo Colo were crowned champions anyway after city rivals Universidad Catolica lost 1-0 to Audax Italiano, who needed a point to keep their hopes alive.
Colo Colo boss Jose Luis Sierra was saddened by the scenes and was frustrated that it overshadowed their success of winning the league.
'We have fought all season to arrive in first place and then sadly these incidents happen,' he said. 'It makes us sad, but the big loser is football.'
Colo Colo's win was their 31st Chilean title in the club's history and guarantees them a spot in next year's Libertadores Cup.
A former Premier League star was caught up in the trouble as ex-Birmingham City and Wigan winger Jean Beausejour lined up for Colo Colo.
Former Cardiff City midfielder Gary Medel was shocked by the scenes and took to Twitter to vent his anger at the people involved in the clashes.
He said: 'Shame about Valpo. A sleeve of criminals clouds football. The authorities made responsible!'
Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo was also disappointed by what had taken place and called on the Chilean government to make the necessary changes.
He tweeted: 'But... the same story. Criminals to power. We want a safe Chile.'
There were also violent incidents before the clash, with one group of supporters being attacked driving to the ground and a restaurant in the city centre being damaged due to more bloody clashes between rivals fans.

Napoli and Legia fans clash
Some 65 Polish football fans were at Naples police headquarters for identification on Thursday after violent clashes with Napoli supporters on Wednesday night in which several people including police officers were injured. The Polish supporters were in the Campania regional capital for the Europa League match between Napoli and Legia Warszawa at San Paolo stadium on Thursday evening. Sixteen people - seven Poles, seven Neapolitans and two Bulgarians - have been arrested and three Poles cited in connection with the violence. Fighting broke out near Capodichino Airport late in the evening before the clashes moved to Piazza Garibaldi in the city centre. Four Napoli fans reportedly had their car set on fire and one of them was also allegedly beaten up. The Legia fans were found to be in possession of mouth guards, kick-boxing gloves, pepper spray, baseball bats, smoke bombs and knives. The material has been confiscated by police.

Five Napoli fans arrested
Police on Thursday arrested five Napoli ultra fans ahead of a Europa League game with Legia Warsaw Thursday. The five were in a group of 50 that had ganged up to wait for Polish fans to arrive. Police threw tear gas and charged the larger group to disperse it. The ultras fell back and tried to regroup. This comes after Legia Warsaw fans threw firecrackers and clashed with police using baseball bats. Some dozen fans threw objects at the officers, who responded with a baton charge. Earlier there were clashes between the two sets of fans.
