AIK fans in Naples 'hooligan' stabbing
Two Swedish football fans and the owner of the pizzeria where they were eating in Naples were stabbed overnight in an apparent attack by Napoli hooligans, Italian media reported on Thursday.
The two fans, a 41-year-old and a 23-year-old, were in the southern Italian port city as part of a group that was visiting from Sweden for the UEFA Europa League face-off between Napoli and AIK Solna later on Thursday.
The injuries sustained by the three men were to the legs and were not life threatening, local daily Il Mattino and ANSA news agency reported.
The reports said the pizzeria owner was injured while trying to defend the Swedish fans against "a group armed with baseball bats and knives".
However, a spokesperson for AIK told Swedish tabloid Expressen that no Swedish fans had been injured in the incident.
"Several AIK supporters were sitting in a pizzeria and had an Italian friend with then. Then some others came by riding a vespa and cut the Italian friend and the restaurant owner in the leg," said AIK spokesperson Gabriella Blombäck.
"It wasn't an incident of supporter violence, but rather an example of what can happen in Naples."
Blombäck was unable to confirm wither the "Italian friend" was also an AIK supporter.
According to Expressen, there are currently around 900 AIK fans in Naples to cheer the Stockholm club in its bid to advance in the Europa League.

More Swedes stabbed by Napoli fans
Attacks by hardcore fans of Serie A side Napoli left three more Swedes hurt following a Europa League match Thursday in the southern Italian port city, reports said.
According to the ANSA news agency, the attacks occurred following Napoli's 4-0 win over Swedish side AIK Solna in Group F of Europe's second tier club event.
Police told the news agency the Swedish supporters were having dinner in Piazza Borsa after 11:00 pm (2100 GMT) when they were approached by a group whose faces were covered.
Two were stabbed in the buttock and leg and the third victim was admitted to hospital for tests. The wounds were believed not to be life threatening.
On Thursday police launched a hunt for what they called "pseudo fans" of Napoli who stabbed two Swedes and the owner of the pizzeria where they were eating after an ambush late on Wednesday night.
The reports said the pizzeria owner was injured while trying to defend the Swedish fans against "a group armed with baseball bats and knives".
Naples police superintendent Luigi Merolla called the first attacks an isolated incident.
But he also likened them to similar incidents in the town in 2010 when hardcore "ultras" left three supporters of Liverpool in hospital with stab wounds.

Sephahan FC (Iran) - Al Ahli SC (Saudi Arabia) - Asian Champions League - 19/09/2012
Source : http://www.lefigaro.fr
A frightening, and fiery, scene occurred during an Asian Champions League quarterfinal match between Iranian club Sepahan FC and Al-Ahli SC of Saudi Arabia at Shahr Stadium in Iran on Wednesday. While a teammate was arguing with officials near a corner flag, Sepahan midfielder Adel Kolahkaj picked up something off the ground and casually tossed it off the field.
And then.. BOOM!
In the video above, the object that Kolahkaj tossed can be seen exploding once it hit the ground, startling both the officials and players as the brief burst of flame gave way to a notable puff of smoke.
It's unclear what the object was, but according to the description of the video on YouTube, Kolahkaj picked up a grenade. The description of another video of the incident describes the explosive as a firecracker. Metro UK describes the object as a "bomb."
Either way, the player who picked it up seems remarkably lucky that he got rid of it before it exploded.
After a brief delay, the players and the referees can be seen returning to the field in a video of the incident at Who Ate All The Pies. According to Business Insider, the match was continued. It ended in a 0-0 draw.

Spurs players subjected to racist abuse at White Hart Lane by Lazio fans
Monkey chants were aimed at Spurs stars Jermain Defoe, Aaron Lennon and Andros Townsend by Lazio fans during last night's Europa League stalemate between the two sides.
UEFA, whose president Michel Platini was at the game, are aware of reports of monkey chanting and may decide today to open disciplinary proceedings against the Italian giants.
Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas said he was happy to leave UEFA in charge of any potential sanction against Lazio.
Villas-Boas did not hear the chants and is therefore happy to leave European football's governing body to decide on whether any action is appropriate.
"I think (UEFA will act if the accusations are proven)," Villas-Boas said in his post-match press conference.
"UEFA is very active on this kind of situation and our overall objective is to kick racism out of football.
"I can't point the finger at anyone in any way shape or form tonight because I didn't hear anything. It's for the authorities to follow up in any kind of investigation."
The anti-racism group FARE posted a link on their Twitter feed giving Spurs fans the chance to report any chants they heard from the away end and UEFA have fined clubs in the past for racist incidents.
Tottenham also operate a strict zero tolerance policy when it comes to racism.

German Police Arrests Ajax Amsterdam Soccer Hooligans The police in the German town of Dortmund today arrested 30 supporters of Ajax Amsterdam. In anticipation of the game against the local Borussia club they had damaged an electric tramway so much that it could not continue its route. Yesterday-night a bus with 24 Ajax supporters was stopped on the way to Dortmund. The supporters were in the possession of drugs as well as gloves which were strengthened with lead. As the police could not determine who the specific owners of these items were the bus could continue toward Dortmund, while the prohibited goods were confiscated.

UEFA fine Levski Sofia for racist abuse - 21/09/2012
Source : http://football.uk.reuters.com
Levski Sofia have been fined 30,000 euros (23,890 pounds) by UEFA for racist behaviour by fans during a Europa League second qualifying round match against Bosnia & Herzegovina's Sarajevo, the Bulgarian club said on Friday.
Fans of the 26-times Bulgarian champions brandished a racist banner and insulted the visiting team's players during the July 19 game which Levski won 1-0, before losing the tie 3-2 on aggregate. The banner also praised Ratko Mladic, ex-commander of the Bosnian Serb army, and Zeljko Raznatovic, the commander of Serb paramilitary unit "The Tigers", who participated in wars in Bosnia and Croatia in the 1990s. Levski, who will mark their 100th anniversary next year, urged their fans to behave to avoid further sanctions in future. "Fans should realise that the club is responsible for all of their extreme or irrational actions," Levski said in a statement.

Cagliari-Roma off after stadium row - 23/09/2012
Source : http://au.eurosport.com
Cagliari's Serie A match at home to Roma has been called off in bizarre circumstances on after the club defied orders from local authorities to stage the fixture behind closed doors.
erie A confirmed on its website that the Cagliari municipal government had ordered the game to be postponed after a late-night meeting.
Cagliari have moved to the Is Arenas on the outskirts of the Sardinian capital but the local authorities ruled earlier this week that the stadium was not ready to host Serie A games despite recent improvements.
However, on Saturday, Cagliari put a statement on their website inviting fans to attend the match anyway as the club considered the stadium to be ready.

Bastia football boss accuses French police of post-match violence
The boss of the Corsican football team Sporting Club de Bastia has accused French police of provoking violence after Saturday’s match against Paris St Germain. The club is to boycott meetings to plan security at matches because “they don’t listen to us”, SCB president Pierre-Marie Geronimi told reporters.
There were clashes when police blocked access to the stadium after Bastia lost 4-0 to PSG on Saturday evening with CRS riot police firing tear gas and flashballs after being pelted with projectiles.
Three people were taken to hospital for minor injuries, officials say.
Geronimi angrily dubbed the police’s action “unacceptable” and accused them of wanting to “sabotage” the match and its aftermath.
The CRS fired directly at families with children as the left the stadium “peacefully”, he claimed.
The club “will not take part in preparatory security meetings at the prefecture because they don’t listen to us”, Geronimi announced.
Police commissioner Antoine Boutonnet, who was present at the match, replied that “there is nothing provocative about the presence of the police” and declared that it is “inadmissible that some supporters thrown projectiles” at officers.
