Hooligans disrupt and delay match between Velez Sarsfield and River Plate
• Hooded fans try to climb fence and reach pitch • Referee forced to delay match for around 10 minutes
Sunday's match between Velez Sarsfield and River Plate had to be delayed after hooded hooligans attempted to climb a chain link fence and reach the field.
The incident took place 30 minutes into the second half and forced the referee, Patricio Loustau, to stop the match for around 10 minutes. Security officials turned high-powered water hoses on the intruders. There were no reports of arrests and Velez eventually won 2-0 after the match was restarted.
The threat of fan violence accompanies almost every match in Argentina. The independent Argentinian group Let's Save Football says that 11 people have died so far this year in football-related violence.
The Argentine Football Association has been blamed for not quelling the violence. The AFA maintains the violence is a social problem reflected in growing street violence in the country.

Hull City - Millwall FC - 17/09/2012
Source : http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk
Two public order arrests after Hull City v Millwall match
Police at the Hull City v Millwall match on Saturday made only two arrests.
Visitors to the KC Stadium had been warned there would be a high-visibility police presence at the match.
In 2009, 16 Hull City and two Millwall hooligans were jailed and 11 others fined when the two sides met.
Inspector Mark Naylor said: "We had one arrest in the stadium when the stewards attempted to eject a male who became abusive.
"They requested the police and he was arrested for a public order offence.
"Another man was arrested after the game at the station when the Millwall fans were waiting to board the train to go home.
"Again, that was a public order offence."
Both men arrested were from the Hull area.
Insp Naylor said: "I think the police presence gave the genuine fans who just wanted to enjoy the game some reassurance.
"They could see we were prepared if there were any issues. I'm pleased with how it went."

Two Wolves fans fined and banned after running onto pitch - 15/09/2012
Source : http://www.shropshirestar.com
Two Wolves fans from Shropshire have been fined and banned from Molineux after invading the pitch while celebrating a rare victory.
Friends Jonathan Cable and Joshua O’Neil both pleaded guilty at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday to going onto a playing area at a football match. The game in question was Wolves against Barnsley on August 21, which the home side won 3-1.
Cable, 21, of Bradford Street, Shifnal, evaded stewards and ran onto the field before high-fiving and hugging the French player Ronald Zubar.
O’Neil, 20, of Lambeth Drive in Priorslee, Telford, followed his friend but slipped and fell head-first into advertising hoardings on the pitch perimeter.
Mr Harmail Gill, defending the pair, cited the fact that they were in a particularly jubilant mood as it was a rare victory for the struggling team.
Wolves had not won at Molineux since December 4.
Mr Gill said of Cable: “He was in a celebratory mood.
“Mr O’Neil followed his friend but didn’t actually make it onto the pitch.
“Violence certainly wasn’t their intention and I understand the club have taken steps to give them lifetime banning orders from the ground.”
Mr Geoffrey Dann, prosecuting, said: “At 9.25pm, while the match was in play, Mr Cable ran from the Steve Bull Stand onto the pitch.
“He gave a high-five sign to one of the players and began to hug him.
“Whilst that was happening Mr O’Neil went onto the side of the pitch.
“He slipped and fell straight into the advertising hoardings and didn’t get very far onto the pitch, if at all.”
District Judge Michael Wheeler took into account the fact the incident took place towards the end of the game and that play was not disrupted.
He said: “In these circumstances a football banning order isn’t necessary.”
Both were ordered to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge, with Cable fined £65 and O’Neil £125 – the larger amount being because he is in employment and Cable is not.
Wolves confirmed both men, who were not season ticket holders, had been indefinitely banned from Molineux.

PSG : French Football Fan Fined for Nazi Salute - 15/09/2012
Source : http://forward.com
Paris Saint-German Supporter Admits 'Stupidity'
A French judge has fined a French football fan for making a Hitler salute at a match and banned him from entering his city’s main stadium. The court in Brest, in western France, imposed a $910 fine on the 32-year-old man, according to the news site Paris Depeches. He was seen making the Hitler salute on January 28 at Brest’s Francis Leble Stadium during a match between a local team and the Parisian Paris Saint-Germain team. After being detained by police at the stadium, the man, a fan of PSG, gestured at other Parisian supporters in what he described as “a stupid game between fans.” The judge in Brest ruled that he should pay the equivalent of $7.50 per day for 120 days. The prosecution sought a five-year ban from the city’s stadium for the offender, but the judge limited the ban to two years. The judge also awarded a symbolic $1.2 compensation to be paid by the man to PSG and to the French nonprofit LICRA, or the International League against Racism and Anti-Semitism. Displaying Nazi symbols or making Nazi salutes is illegal in several European countries, including France, Austria and Germany.

St Johnstone - Celtic Glasgow - 14/09/2012

Police looking for football fans
Two groups of football fans are being hunted by police for anti-social behaviour on trains. Around 20 supporters shouted and sang sectarian songs on the 3.10pm train travelling from Perth to Inverness after the St Johnstone v Celtic match on Saturday, said British Transport Police (BTP). Later that same day around 25 men shouted and swore as they travelled on the 9.37pm train from Inverness to Aberdeen following the match between the city's football teams. BTP said the train conductor was threatened during the journey. Sergeant Jim Wands said: "Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated by BTP. Passengers and rail staff who have not attended a football match should be able to travel without encountering such unsavoury and unwelcome behaviour. "I am appealing for anyone who was on either train and has information regarding the identity of those involved to contact BTP as a matter of urgency. CCTV from the trains and stations will be trawled to provide evidence against those believed to be responsible."
