The hunt in the terraces continues. About half a dozen of undercover police and officers arrested 16 Boca Juniors fans as part of the sweep of wanted troublemakers who are still fugitives since soccer was suspended for 2-3 weeks. The ones who were identified by video were apprehended. Since the soccer tournament was started again, La 12 has not been present at their usual pubs and hangouts, and definitely not at the stadium.
Police said that Rafael Di Zeo, nicknamed "Rafa", is still at large. La 12 sent orders to other fans to defend their usual space and keep it free of fans. There has been no fans sitting in La 12's territory. Before fans realized that there were police in civilian clothes, a few of them starting beating the police with their fists. Soon enough they realized they were being watched closely by security cameras and dispersed into the crowd.

After the referee refused Paok a clear penalty on the last minute of the game versus Xanthi Paok fans went on the rampage. They tried to invade the pitch and started pelting the referee with stones, bottles and coins. A riot police team
had to escort the referee to leave the pitch. A second, and more intense, half of the incidents took place outside the stadium. Many Paok fans tried to reach the referee's room but were held back by the riot police. The Paok fans attacked the police using stones and metal bars, the police retaliated with tear gas and made a couple of charges.

Dutch police also arrested 41 Polish Wisla Krakow supporters earlier in the day after they found two axes, a garotte, three switchblades, kitchen knives, and other weapons on their bus.
The supporters, who were on their way to the Wisla Krakow-NEC match, which the Polish side won 2-1, were sent back across the border, police said.
Customs police had also stopped two cars full of Poles at the border in the morning and denied them access to the country as they were armed with knives and a steel bar.

Prior to the game, a group of polish fans enterend without paying their entrance, but they were pushed back outside the stadium. Outside, a scuffles erupted opposing them to police forces.
Another group of Polish, who were inside the stadium started their activities: they went out for having an off with another group of Polish (Legia hools with with shirts). A fight started, opposing 100 lads on each side.

Prior to the game, local firm took their way to the stadium and as it was agreed, both firms met each other near the stadium. Both sides tried to have a fight but cavalry made an intervention, but in another place, some meters far away, a short fight erupted, opposing same numbers. Locals stood their ground and police forces restored order. Major part of A'lecht firm is arrested.
A BCS is injured.

Very big fight was in Elets(Lipetskiy region) in the mach of 1/16 Cup of Russia between CSKA Moscow hooligans and local police...About 1000 CSKA supporters came to Elets to this match.After the first goal of FC Elets,Moscow fans became to threw the fireworks to the football field,and this situation provoked action of police:they began to use watershoots.The fight became.The referee of this match stopped the game for 20 minutes and lead the teams to cloakrooms,only after stopping the fight -the teams came back to the field.A lot of CSKA hooligans were arrested.

Four Djurgarden supporters were arrested in Halmstad early on Sunday after fans clashed with police, the Swedish news agency TT reported.
Hundreds of supporters of the Swedish first division team from the captial, gathered for a match against Halmstad on Sunday, ran riot in the southwestern town on Saturday hurling bottles and other missiles at police.
Officers managed to restore order in the early hours of Sunday.
Police said the hooligans were not targeting opposition fans but apparently wanted to fight police.
'It almost seemed organised, as if the supporters went for an attack,' police spokesman Ivar Pettersson said.

Champions Djurgarden, who lead the Swedish first division by four points from Malmo, are looking for another title when they face Halmstad in the season's penultimate round.

A fight occured, opposing Nîmes fans to local youths, near Carcassonne. Six people were injured and one so seriously near the pitch where this cup game was played.
Some minutes before kick-off, first riots erupted, opposing fans to a group of local youths and approx. 30 Nîmes fans entered without paying. When Nîmes scored his 1st goal, their fans entered the pitch and provocations erupted with local fans.
A local youths group, armed with baseball sticks and other weapons and a pitbull (??) entered the pitch to have a revange after 1st riots.
A violent fight erupted and 6 people were injured.

After the dissapointing draw against la louvière, a small group of about 35 pcl ladz made their way out of the stadion and ran towards the busses of "les lous" who were allready waiting in front of a red light to leave the city on the express way. La lou fans saw the group coming towards them and climbed on the roofs of their busses and started to provoce the lierse lads by spitting beer. After that minor display of their peasantly behaviour the lierse lads charged the busses tried to kick the doors in and started to vandalize the busses. Some were trying to lure some burberry armoured waloon opponents out of their busses but they were scared by the hecticness of the moment. one la lou scarfer threw a bottle towards the casuals but didn't even got close of one of them. But he hadn't lot of time to worry because as fast as the bottle came it went back to towards the bus and a stone thrown by one of the younger casuals nearly hit his head if the bus wasn't one inch smaller. After a small 10 minutes of pure vandal pleasure old bill was driving towards the group with 5 striped cars and one bus with undercover coppers. The last one wasn't recognised by a few members of the group while they were getting themselves into safety and they were administrativly arrested so they could walk away without any further problems. One of the pcl mob was arrested and took a little drive in a striped vehicle but was released shortly after again. after the comotion, and when the la lou busses left the city damaged, the lierse lads went back to the pub. And it was of to the beer again for us.

pcl lads (15, wrong figures due to the youthful enthusiasm we all had and know) were in the neighborhood by circumstances. We wanted to go back to our pub and crossed the coaches of lalou. The second coach provoced us and a bottle was launched towards us. We reacted and begged the lalou lads to get off. They refused and instead some bottles were trown to us. I would be ashamed in their place...

TWENTY-FIVE football hooligans were arrested last night as English thugs marred the showpiece Battle of Britain clash.
The gang ran riot near Ibrox before the Champions League tie between Rangers and Manchester United and the arrests came as fights broke out along Paisley Road West on the main approach to the ground.
During the game the number of arrests rose to nearly 50, mainly for minor offences.
After the match, which Manchester United won 1-0, police reported only one more football related offence.
The violence involving the "casuals" has raised fears of further trouble at the return match in Manchester in 12 days.
More than 4000 English fans were believed to have travelled north for the game and most were in good
spirits and well behaved.
But it is understood Manchester United
"casuals" had gathered in a bar on Paisley Road West, where they spent much of the day drinking.
At around 6pm they left the pub and ran riot down the busy road, attacking rival supporters and the public at random. Passers-by took refuge in doorways.
Much of the violence took place outside the District Bar, a favourite haunt of Rangers fans.
Police, who had been monitoring the fans' movements, moved in with raised batons to quell the trouble
and mounted police helped to disperse the fighting
fans.
Further along Paisley Road West, at the Park Bar, an ambulance took an injured fan to the Southern General Hospital, but he was not thought to have been badly hurt.
Police had anticipated potential trouble spots and reinforcements had been drafted in to back up crowd control.
Bar staff were helping cut the risk of trouble by posting security guards at doors and restricting admission, and the hooligan elements were quickly spotted.
Manchester United fans – who had sung Celtic songs and waved green and white flags during the game – were kept inside the stadium for more than an hour after the match in an attempt to allow the Rangers support to disperse.
Police vans were parked outside several bars in the city centre where fans had gathered after the match and their presence helped quieten behaviour.
One witness, a landscape gardener from Busby, said: "The scenes in Paisley Road West were like a battleground, but the police were quick to bring the trouble under control.
"Police were ushering the Rangers supporter back into the pubs while they controlled the Manchester fans. They prevented a mini-riot.
"Inside the ground I saw one Rangers fan try to get near the rival supporters after Manchester scored, but police whisked him away."
A police spokesman said: "There were violent scenes in Paisley Road West before the game started and 25 arrests were made. During the game another 24 were arrested, all for minor offences.
"After the game one more arrest was made. Overall, the fans were good-natured and, trouble-makers apart, mixed well."

Fresh warning for England fans - 24/10/2003

The FA has warned that England could still be banned from Euro 2004 if there is crowd trouble ahead of the event.

The FA's director of communications Paul Barber said that fans must continue to be on their best behaviour during the upcoming friendly matches.

"Uefa has made it clear to us that all of the conditions which applied to the last few matches still apply," he told BBC Radio Five Live.

"We have got to get through the games in order to get to Portugal with our fans and our reputation intact."

Barber was at the British Embassy in Lisbon on Thursday as the FA took part in the first of a series of meetings in an attempt to stop hooligans marring the tournament.

FA officials were joined by representatives from the National Criminal Intelligence Service, the Home Office, the Foreign Office, the British Council and the British police.

But Barber remains hopeful that there will be no problems between now and next summer.

"We do not want to sound complacent but we have made a lot of progress over the past six months on this issue and the behaviour of our fans has been superb both home and away," he admitted.

"These friendlies are a good chance for us to prove to the rest of the world we have great fans with the majority of fans decent people who just want to watch football.

"We hope we have the procedures and disciplines in place to keep the hooligans away because we don't want them following the team and we don't want them in Portugal," said Barber.

Prior to the game, a Nantes mob (60/80) attack the Ultras Metz pub, called the Saloon. Many damages and some locals injured. Police forces restored order after 10 of troubles. 2 FCN fans were arrested.

Our mob was composed by 55 lads and arrived near the pub at 6.30pm. Locals went out of their pub, some with glasses and belts, so we made the same.
A violent fight erupted during for 5 minutes at the entrance of the pub. Two or three injured on our side and 2 others arrested.
Both sides talked about incidents, Stories are closed now.

Four Bordeaux fans were attacked and injured Saturday at the end of the journey.
Police forces said Bordeaux fans were attacked by a Nice south-terrace violent mob. They were attacked in front of the entrance. They were transfered at hospital.
Other riots during the journey, opposing rival fans in the city-centre.
No arrest was made.

Nice organisation for Lille lads who joined Lens by cars with approx. 110 lads...
Unfortunately police forces received news from this trip and we all were escorted, but on their way to the stadium, the escort was in front of the local mob (approx 100). We charged and locals have to retreat and some punches were exchanged. Locals charged us. Police forces made 70 arrests on our side.
Nothing happened after the game as locals were not up for it.

A local view:

OB was the winner of this derby, but why Lille lads were parked at the south part of the city and why they were behind cops? No toe-to-toe when both sides were in front of eachother, as police forces escorted Lille lads. Finally, we charged them. Some little fights also erutped but nothing special.
After the game, we were not well up for it, as we are not hooligans and because before finding Lille lads, there was police forces. cordons de CRS avant de renconter le 1er lillois...

A PSG lad view:

About 100 Lille lads with some old ones and many young ones. A very strong group in fact...Some meters far away, locals were there but police forces separated both sides. Police forces escorted visitors, near the local pub. Locals arrived (approx.70) without cops. Now, old bill charged...visitors. No toe-to-toe. Some meters far away Lille lads (80 at this time) tried something else but cops arrived using their cars against the group. The group is now splitted but some fights erutped with locals. Polcie forces made an intervention and approx 50 visitors are arrested.
After the game, at 11pm, approx 30 visitors arrived in front of the local pub but cops are there. Five minutes later, at the bottom of the street (after we knew 4 Losc ultras were attacked by 15 locals), french CRS charged visitors.

At 5.30pm the FCM Horda group's coach arrived near the stadium without escort. About 80 local lads (including 10/15 Karlsruhe ones) attacked the coach, thinking FCM fans will stop the coach and went out...but, that was not the case as FCM fans refusent a toe-to-toe.
Two hours later, the Generation Grenat's coach arrived at the same place, without escort, but things were the same, they refused a confrontation.

Ajax lads mainly youth wanted to come to Eindhoven. There meeting place was Best a village just before Eindhoven. They had a poor turn out and had only 41 lads. So they stayed at Best and had a drink over there they called PSV and sayed that they would stay in Best. So the fight was off. There was a call from ajax supporters on the combi train, that they where attacked by FC Den Bosch hools. So the ajax lads went to Den Bosch, nothing happend.

About 50 Utrecht lads made the journey to Enschede they almost reach the city centre where about 150 Twente lads where waiting for Utrecht, but about 2 KM before the city centre the where found by the OB and the change was over. The OB made some arrest among the Utrecht Lads for weapons and drugs.
