Brawl erupt at Denbigh v Bangor football match as punches are thrown and police move in



Punches were thrown and police had to separate fighting spectators after a brawl broke out at a North Wales football ground. Fans were captured on camera fighting at a match between Denbigh Town FC and Bangor 1876 on Friday.

A video taken at the game showed people gesticulating and punches being thrown among supporters behind one of the goals as the match was played at Denbigh's Central Park stadium.

The footage also showed a young boy having to jump onto the pitch and walk away as the brawl continued and other fans looked on.

Another video circulating on social media showed spectators brawling as people laughed and shouted, "go on, get into them", and "come and have a go if you think you're hard enough".

A statement from Denbigh Town FC said: "We were disappointed to have spectators fighting at Central Park, something we have not had previously and certainly not something we want to happen again.

Fighting broke out at a football match on New Year's Day

Sixteen football fans have been named and shamed over a fight in the stands at a match. King's Lynn Town and Boston United supporters began fighting inside the The Walks stadium in King's Lynn on Sunday, January 1.

Seven King's Lynn supporters and 10 Boston supporters appeared in court on Thursday, February 23, charged with a combination of pitch encroachment and public order offences. All bar one pleaded guilty.

The banning orders mean they cannot attend any regulated football match anywhere in the country for the length of the order. Superintendent Wes Hornigold said: "Fighting between fans has no place in football and this result shows how robustly we will deal with incidents.

"We worked closely with King''s Lynn Town Football Club on the day to disrupt the violence and the vast majority of fans had a safe and enjoyable time."
