Argentina's open-top bus parade ended in chaos, with one fan left dead, police attacked by missile-throwing hooligans and a five-year-old in a coma.

That night also ended with one man dead after he had fallen from a height while jumping on a roof, according to Buenos Aires police. The Ministry of Health confirmed a 24-year-old had passed away after being admitted to Fernandez Hospital with a head injury.

Police said he was celebrating the World Cup win when a plate broke and he fell to the ground. A five-year-old boy is also in a coma after sustaining a serious head injury following an incident at the Plaza San Martin.

Police also came under attack from hooligans throwing missiles, with officers forced to take cover. A group of officers were seen hiding behind their shields as firefighters attempted to reach fans who had climbed to the top of the 235ft-high Obelisk monument.

Young men were also seen pelting police with bottles and stones, with three million people thought to have gathered at the base of the Obelisk alone. Initial reports claim 13 people had been arrested amid the celebrations, with eight officers injured.

Preston North End fans clash with West Brom supporters outside pub as police called

Emergency services had to be called after Preston North End FC supporters clashed with West Brom fans outside a pub.

Police officers rushed to the scene after a fight broke out following West Bromwich Albion's 2-0 win over PNE. The fight broke out near The Hawthorns stadium on Holyhead Road.

Footage shows multiple officers attending the scene on December 29. The fight broke out at the Royal Oak pub in Birmingham just after 10pm, reports BirminghamLive.

West Midlands Police said there were no reported injuries or arrests but investigations were ongoing. CCTV footage was also being reviewed.

A force spokesman said: "We were called to the Royal Oak pub, on Holyhead Road, shortly after 10pm last night, to reports of disorder involving a group of West Bromwich Albion and Preston North End fans. There were no reported injuries or arrests.

The chaotic scenes also saw City goalkeeper, and former Tottenham man, Tom Glover hit with a metal bucket – with the glovesman left bleeding and concussed.

Around 150 supporters stormed onto the AAMI Park pitch, kicking down advertising boards and hanging off the goal posts, with referee Alex King, a TV camera operator and two security guards also left injured in the fray.

The derby clash was called off after just 20 minutes of action as a result.

Around $150,000 worth of damage is said to have been caused to the stadium and pitch, with around 80 flares or fireworks set off while poles and bottles were thrown at officers on the field.

Glover was spotted in training and back in action again after Christmas after completing concussion protocols, but sporting a bandage on the side of his head where the metal bucket, filled with sand, opened a nasty wound.

Police have announced they have charged 32 people with a number of offences, including discharging a missile, assault, violent disorder, criminal damage and riotous behaviour.

They are now searching for 11 others they believe to be guilty of serious offences, including one man who flew back to Europe after the game who has already received a ten-year ban from attending A-League matches.

Fans kicked down advertising boards and left a player, the referee and a TV cameraman injured as they stormed the pitch.

A violent fight broke out around 11 p.m. at the Annecy sports park between both fans.
The anti-crime brigade (BAC) and the canine brigade intervened. Some of fans were wounded.
