Troubles before the game; sicilian ultras attacked away fans: 2 arrests
Tension in front of the Renzo Barbera stadium in Palermo, shortly before the Serie B match between Rosanero and Como.
According to the reconstruction of the incident, a group of ultra rosanero allegedly attempted an ambush against two mini vans of Como supporters who were escorted by the Guardia di Finanza.
The episode occurred in the pre-filtration area of the stadium. Within moments, the windows of the vehicles were shattered and the two groups of fans came into contact.
Luckily no one was injured and the police took steps to keep the protagonists away. Two people were arrested following the incidents.

Italy: Locri - Acireale - 11/12/2022

Serious troubles before the game Locri-Acireale: 2 injured people sent to the hospital
Yesterday, during the Serie D (Group I) Locri-Acireale match, self-proclaimed supporters of Acireale - in reality, mere troublemakers - long before the referee whistled the start of the match, presented themselves in group in front of the stadium of the Ionian city even armed with iron bars.
Their intentions were unequivocal and turned in a few minutes into serious damage to some cars parked nearby and especially into very serious clashes with some Locri supporters. Two of the latter were injured and were immediately taken to hospital. The intervention of the Police in riot gear was immediate: at the end of the match, the Acireale bus was escorted by the agents to the landing stage of Villa San Giovanni.

France and Morocco fans launch fireworks and missiles as riot police lose control
Trouble brewed across various cities back in France - which is known for its large population of Moroccans (1.5million population of Moroccans living in France).
Supporters of both nations took to streets up and down the country to celebrate their achievements. Yet the adrenaline-fuelled atmosphere resulted in clashes, especially in Montpellier on the south coast.
Video footage uploaded to social media showed violent scenes unfolding in the city's main square. Fans could be seen climbing the landmark fountain, while chairs were thrown and fireworks launched at others.

170 arrests nationwide, including more than 100 in Paris
Some 10,000 police were mobilised across France to ensure there was no unrest during and after the match, given the potential of clashes between French supporters and those backing France's one-time North African colony.
Police did however move to disperse a group of fans who were setting off fireworks around the Arc de Triomphe.
And a group of about 40 people aligned with far-right groups were arrested for carrying prohibited weapons, a police source said, as they prepared to move towards the Champs-Elysees.
"They clearly wanted to fight on the Champs," the police source said.

Morocco fans face racist abuse in France after World Cup semi-final loss - 15/12/2022
Source : https://www.trtworld.com/
More than 120 people, including some members of far-right groups, were arrested in different cities of the European nation.
More than 120 people were arrested for what lawmakers denounced as “racist violence” in Paris and other French cities after France’s World Cup semi-final win over Morocco.
Some 10,000 police officers were mobilised overnight across France over fears of possible riots, including 5,000 for Paris and the surrounding area alone.
Despite the measures, Moroccan fans faced verbal and physical attacks from some far-right groups as raucous celebrations erupted across the country after France won the game 2-0.
At least 115 people were arrested in total in Paris and its surrounding areas, local media reported.
Among them were 40 far-right suspects trying to reach the Champs-Elysees, the capital’s busiest spot packed with football fans, the reports said.
Violence was also reported in major cities such as Lyon, Nice, and Montpellier.
At least six people, including two members of a right-wing group, were arrested after a fight between rival fans in Lyon, according to reports.
French lawmaker Thomas Portes condemned the “planned attacks” and “racist violence” against Moroccan fans.
“We are close to a tragedy. We must react,” he wrote on Twitter.
Antoine Leaument, another parliamentarian, said “fascists … shouting racist remarks” attacked Moroccan fans in Nice.
“Racism is a crime,” he said in a tweet, calling for the perpetrators to be punished according to French law.

France lays on major security operation ahead of World Cup final - 17/12/2022
Source : https://www.rfi.fr/
Some 14,000 police officers will be on duty across France on Sunday to guarantee security as Les Bleus take on Argentina in the World Cup final, the Interior Ministery said Friday.
The security operation, presented by Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin, will see a concentration of forces in Paris, where huge crowds are expected in the event of victory.
There will be 12,800 officers deployed on Saturday for the third-place run-off game between Morocco and Croatia.
The Champs-Elysees is likely to be the scene of celebrations similar to those held during France's previous World Cup triumphs in 1998 and 2018, with a turnout of around 600,000 people.
The avenue will be closed to traffic on Sunday as will key metro stations in the area.
However, chilly temperatures and rain, which are forecast for Sunday, could dampen the festive atmosphere, as would a victory for Argentina and their star player Lionel Messi.
Police will be on their guard for troublemakers, this after 115 arrests on Wednesday night after France's victory over Morocco in the semi-final.
Close eye on far-right 'sympathisers'
Around 40 of them were far-right sympathisers, 26 of whom were still in custody on Thursday evening, Darmanin said.
They were arrested for "participation in a group with a view to committing violence" and some for carrying a weapon, the Paris prosecutor's office said.
Among those in prolonged custody is Marc de Cacqueray-Valmenier, leader of the small far-right group "the Zouaves", dissolved in early January.
"They had come to start a fight," Darmanin told reporters, adding he had held a special meeting with police chiefs on Thursday night, and had asked then "to look particularly at the activities of these ultra-right groups ahead of this World Cup weekend".
Darmanin told the press that online surveillance would also be stepped up.
The aftermath of Wednesday's game was also marred by the death of a 14-year-old boy in the southern city of Montpellier who was hit by a car carrying supporters.
The driver of a white hatchback involved in the accident is still being sought by police.

An A-League football match between rivals Melbourne City and Melbourne Victory has been abandoned after fans invaded the field and attacked City goalkeeper Tom Glover
Fans from the Melbourne Victory area of the stadium rushed the pitch just after the 20-minute mark of the game at AAMI Stadium. City led 1-0 when the match was stopped.
Video on social media shows a fan throwing a metal bucket with a white substance at Glover, who was taken off the field dazed and bleeding. Team officials said he had sustained a possible concussion but there was no immediate word on his condition.
Match referee Alex King was also injured, sustaining a head cut in the same incident.
