Seraing – SC Charleroi  stopped for 10 minutes after missiles thrown by Seraing supporters

As their team lost 0-3, some Seraing supporters became angry

The game wich opposed Seraing to Sporting Charleroi was stopped for 10 minutes during 2nd half as Zebras won 0-3.
The reason is because Seraing supporters thrown beer cups to Charleroi staff and substitutes.

It started in the 51st minute when Morioka planted the 0-3 goal. Edward Still and his bench found themselves sprayed with beer. The referee then requests the intervention of the stadium announcer in order to calm the supporters. Ten minutes later, while two changes on the carolo side were being prepared, a new volley of beer and other projectiles fell on the edge of the field, affecting in particular the fourth referee. Head referee Wesli De Cremer then followed the rules to the letter and sent the two teams back to the locker room for ten minutes until calm returned.

The 23-year-old Club Brugge supporter from Wetteren who assaulted the Man City supporter who is hospitality is said to be one of the leaders of the young Bruges hooligans and also known to be violent.
The Wetteren lad is still imprisoned.
His lawyer insists on the fact that his criminal record is still blank and that he regrets his action by speaking about this assault on a 63-year-old man from Ninove who suffered irreversible brain damage.

Union Berlin demand explanation for 'harsh police deployment' in Rotterdam - 22/10/2021

German football club Union Berlin are demanding an explanation for the unsavory scenes witnessed prior to their UEFA Europa Conference League defeat to Feyenoord. Several fans were arrested, injured and denied entry.

Unsavory scenes outside the De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam marred Union Berlin’s 3-1 loss to Feyenoord in the UEFA Europa Conference League on Thursday night.

With more than 75 arrests made, Union’s fans have taken to social media to post pictures of injuries sustained in clashes with local police, who said in a statement that they suspected them of "preparing open violence."

"There are pictures of numerous injured people from what was obviously a very harsh police deployment. This is simply unacceptable in its entirety," said Union Berlin club spokesman Christian Arbeit.

Union delegation attacked
Local authorities were already on high alert before the game after police officials responded to an incident on Wednesday night, when "dozens of individuals" hurled chairs and glasses at the Union delegation.

According to Dutch media, Union club President Dirk Zingler and other members of the club’s board of directors were among the 25 people attacked. Feyenoord apologized for "an utterly terrible occurrence" and demanded that the offenders be "identified and punished" in a statement released prior to the match.

"The club distances itself in all ways possible from people who reduced themselves to this cowardly act. Anyone who portrays Feyenoord and the city in such a senseless manner and negative light cannot and must not be considered a supporter."

Fan misconduct on the rise
From Hungarian fans clashing with police at Wembley to Cologne fans running riot at UEFA Youth League matches in Belgium, incidents of misconduct appear to be on the rise. Only a few weeks earlier,antisemitic chants overshadowed Union's win against Maccabi Haifa.

While not alone in combating the issues associated with modern-day hooliganism, Holland has been one of the most open and proactive. As recently as this week, the Dutch Football Association (KNVB), professional clubs and supporter’s organizations signed a joint-statement distancing themselves from the misconduct of fans seen at the start of the season.

"Unfortunately, after 10 matchdays, we have to conclude that supporters are not yet able to behave normally during all matches. Players have been pelted with plastic beer cups, specific people and population groups have been insulted with chants and violence has taken place outside the stadium."

The KNVB have already banned upwards of 150 people this season and, in light of recent investigations, have vowed to tackle the problem further.

"Professional football focuses on the person-oriented approach within the current measures: the good should not suffer or otherwise suffer as little as possible from the bad.

"We want to continue to work for that. If there is no reduction in incidents, we will enter the final phase where increasing penalties, banning (away) supporters and stopping or even suspending matches even faster will become possible. Football is the most beautiful game. Let us not allow it to be ruined by a small group, now we can all enjoy it together again."

Powder keg in Rotterdam
Whether it be antisemitic chants or violent clashes, Rotterdam has a reputation for fan misconduct and, as a result, local authorities are well versed in their response. According to police, the clashes on Thursday night were due to "a group of Union Berlin fans undertaking a spontaneous march from the old port to the De Kuip stadium."

Described in a police statement on Friday as a "small group of German rowdys," 59 people were arrested for "preparing open violence" while a further 16 were taken in for vandalism and the possession of pyrotechnics. It led to chaotic scenes involving the 2,400 traveling fans with many penned inside a fenced-off area at the away entrance.

"There was a catastrophic situation for fans entering the stadium. Hundreds of Union fans didn't get in. That is not acceptable. We will meet with Feyenoord and UEFA to assess the situation and address these issues clearly."

Football fan denied entry for 'own safety'
Football fan Axel was one of the fans barred entry. He was not embroiled in the violent clashes and his ticket wasn’t in the away end, but he was nevertheless denied entry to De Kuip "for his own safety."

"I went as a neutral with a friend and had nothing on that would have made me out to be a Union fan," Axel told DW. "We didn't have any problems ourselves, but did see how other Union fans had been surrounded by police and were being herded to the stadium.

"However, when we lined up, we were identified as German on account of our vaccination pass and were told we wouldn’t be let in. When I asked why, they said it was for our own safety, and we were promptly escorted by police to a sort of cage which already contained hundreds of Union fans."

Axel was one of the few in the cage that didn’t have tickets in the away end with the Union fans, who he described as "understandably frustrated." With a "heated atmosphere" there were "small clashes inside the cage" with fans trying to "barge" their way into the stadium, but his overall assessment of the police’s conduct was "pretty harsh."

According to German news agency dpa, UEFA are still waiting for the official incident reports before acting. Union are to host Feyenoord to the German capital in two weeks' time as they look to keep their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign afloat.

Furious French football fans launch flares onto pitch as stadium is swamped in smoke



French football descended into farce once again on Friday night as angry fans launched flares onto the pitch and swamped a stadium in thick smoke.

Saint-Etienne's home fixture with Angers was delayed by more than an hour as supporters vented their fury at manager Claude Puel.

Fans are furious at the club's current position in the Ligue 1 table.

Les Verts are one of the grand old names of French football having won the country's top-flight title a record ten times, putting them one ahead of Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain.

But this season has not started well for Saint-Etienne and the club are rock-bottom of the table with just four points and no wins from their opening ten matches.

Supporters have seen enough and decided to protest against the current regime before Saint-Etienne's home game with Angers on Friday night.

As the teams made their way out onto the pitch ahead of kick-off, flares rained down from the stand behind the goal, covering the stadium in a thick layer of smoke.

Footage showed home supporters racing down to the front of the stand to launch their pyrotechnics, some of which appeared to make contact with the goal net, burning a hole in it.

Following almost an hour delay, the game eventually kicked off just before 9pm UK time.

The scenes at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard follow similar incidents that have cast a shadow over French football in recent months.

Rapid Vienna fans hit with ban after crowd trouble at West Ham clash in Europa League - 22/10/2021

Rapid Vienna fans have been banned from attending their next away fixture in the Europa League after causing trouble at West Ham.

Visiting fans tried to storm the home end at the London Stadium following the opening goal in West Ham’s win over the Austrian side last month. A police officer was assaulted during the trouble and three fans were arrested.

Objects, including a large bottle from the top of a water cooler and a stool used by photographers, were thrown between the two sets of fans, for which both clubs have been punished.

Both West Ham and Rapid Vienna have been fined €60,000 (£50,000) by UEFA, which must be paid within 90 days.

Officials travelling with Rapid Vienna on the night in order to liaise between stadium staff and the supporters and prevent trouble were themselves ejected from the London Stadium after clashes with West Ham security staff.

There was also trouble after the final whistle when more objects were thrown between the two sets of fans inside the stadium.

Vienna will be banned from selling tickets to travelling fans for their next away game in the Europa League, when they face Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia on November 4, as a result, though West Ham have only been hit with the fine.

Nine injured police officers and 21 arrests at Marseille vs PSG

As many as nine police officers were reportedly injured and 21 people were arrested before, during and after Le Classique between Marseille and Paris Saint-Germain at the Stade Velodrome on Sunday night.

Eight police officers have suffered bruises, while one of officers was hit by a stone in the face and will stay at the hospital for at least seven days.

According to Le Parisien, 21 people were arrested at the game, a match where the Marseille ultras unveiled a tifo against the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP).

A large number of smoke bombs were set off, while the match had to be stopped because of some objects launched in the direction of the corner flag, where Neymar was about to take a corner kick.

In the second half, a fan stormed onto the pitch and ran to the direction of Lionel Messi, while outside the stadium hundreds of people tried to get in when the gates were closed. The police had to intervene and tear gas some fans.

Fortunately, there were no issues reported after the end of the game.

It is not the first time that there has been trouble with the Marseille fans this season, as they have already been sanctioned twice by the LFP disciplinary committee for incidents in the stands, first after the Nice match on August 22 and then after the Angers duel exactly one month later.

After the Angers game, Marseille were warned that they could face a one-point deduction if a similar issue occurred again.

Tottenham and West Ham fans clash in ugly scenes at London Stadium after Spurs mob break through barrier

The shocking video shows a fan waving a stick in the air and repeatedly beating rival supporters until it breaks in half on the stadium grounds.

The stewards had no hope of containing the lit fans as the skirmish broke out during half time at around 2.45 pm.

Moments before the mayhem, beer-swilling fans can be seen in the footage making rude gestures at their opponents as others cheer them on while shouting “fucking come on”.

After this, fans from both sides started kicking at the door, dividing the factions.

Security guards tried to intervene, but they seemed to be outnumbered in the conflict.

Two Tottenham fans were arrested.

The day before this match which promises to be hot, it is the first time in nine years that the two enemy clubs face each other, the fans of Rostock hung a pig's head on a bridge of the highway 24 in the direction of 'Hamburg.

The police say they are worried because visiting fans are not allowed to go to Hamburg but intend to go there anyway.

Firstly before midday 80 supporters were stopped at Hamburg trainstation.



Thirty minutes later, at Thesdorf trainstation in Pinneberg, when police forces have checked a train with 60 who ran accross the rails.
Traffic was stopped and 2 police helicopters followed them.
Sixty-two people were arrested.

And at 2.20pm, as it was 2-0 for Sankt-Pauli, 130 Hansa troublemakers went out of tube station and took the way to the stadium but were stopped by police and were sent back home.
