Ugly Scenes in Capital: 200 Bad Blue Boys and Legia Warsaw Fans Clash in Dubrava
A fight broke out in Zagreb's Dubrava area late Tuesday night. About 200 football fans clashed, and according to the first information, they beat each other with batons, threw stones, and lit flares, reports Index.hr.
A fight broke out on Dankovečka Street at around 9:30 pm, in which about 200 fans took part.
Police officers were present from the beginning and prevented a possible major conflict, and according to the information gathered so far, no one was seriously injured.
The circumstances of the incident and police action are being determined.
According to media reports and witness statements, the fans had batons and took chairs from the cafe terraces. A small group clashed in one of the nearby parking lots, and flares and stones were thrown at each other.
Citing sources from the fan milieu, the media write that it is allegedly a planned provocation of the Polish club who came to Zagreb by bus, partly from the Adriatic coast where they were on vacation, partly from abroad, to cause riots before tonight's Champions League qualifier between Dinamo and Legia.
The fighting quickly became news in the Serbian media, added Index.hr. Recall, tonight's match between these two clubs is the first of two that will take one of the teams to the Champions League playoffs, in which they could face Belgrade's Red Star.
The Telegraph states that there is a "state of war" in Zagreb and that a fight between fans "literally set the whole neighborhood on fire," and Kurir, under the headline "Gori Zagreb," states that "several hundred hooligans broke up one neighborhood."
B92.net also wrote about the riots, stating that it is stormy in Zagreb, and went on to describe the clash of fans in which batons and flares were used.
Police said no one was seriously injured, though witness accounts from the evening seem to disagree. The police made arrests last night.

UEFA open investigation over fan disorder at Italy vs England Euro 2020 final - 03/08/2021
Source : https://monzulbd.com/
UEFA have announced that they have opened an investigation over the shameful scenes at Wembley ahead of England’s Euro 2020 final against Italy last month.
What was thought to be thousands of ticketless fans broke into the stadium before the match, and some clashed with police and each other.
A total of 45 people were arrested on the night with 19 police officers injured as they confronted the volatile crowds.
And UEFA will take action as they look into just what went wrong before the showpiece event in North London.
A statement released on Tuesday read: “Following an investigation conducted by a UEFA Ethics and Disciplinary Inspector into the events involving supporters which occurred inside and around the stadium during the UEFA EURO 2020 final match between the national teams of Italy and England played on 11 July at Wembley Stadium, London, disciplinary proceedings have been opened against the English Football Association for a potential violation of Article 16(2)(h) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations for a lack of order or discipline by its supporters.
It comes after UEFA already announced their intentions to charge the English FA for a number of other incidents which took place.
A pitch invader managed to make his way onto the playing surface in the second half before eventually being escorted away by stewards.
And a large number of England fans booed the Italian national anthem ahead of kick-off.
Elsewhere some let off fireworks and flares, and there is also a charge for the throwing of objects.
A number of high-profile figures were caught up in the chaos, and Three Lions defender Harry Maguire recently revealed that his father was injured in a crush near a turnstile where some without tickets gained access.
He told The Sun: “My dad was in the stampede. I have not spoken with him too much but I am pleased my kids didn’t go to the game. It was scary – he said he was scared and I don’t want anyone to experience that at a football match.

Colombian Soccer Fans Brawled, Stormed the Pitch and Fought Police in First Game Back in the Stands
Fans returned to the stands in Colombia's El Campín Stadium tonight for a match between Independiente Santa Fe and Atletico Nacional. It was the first time fans were able to attend a Categoría Primera A match since the start of the pandemic. It did not go well.
Chaos broke out as the game went into halftime. Fans fought in the stands, stormed the pitch and clashed with police. The game was delayed about an hour before order was restored.
Meanwhile, in the upper deck of the stadium, Santa Fe fans pushed into the north end of the stadium where Nacional fans were sitting. The game was delayed for an hour as things got under control.
The mayor of Bogata, who was in attendance, condemned the actions of the fans on Twitter.

Sparta Prague caught up in racism row as Monaco striker Aurelien Tchouameni is left shaken by alleged abuse from stands
AN OFFICIAL complaint has been lodged against Sparta Prague after the alleged racial abuse of Monaco star Aurelien Tchouameni.
The French outfit are said to have complained to Uefa following some distressing scenes in the Czech capital tonight in a Champions League qualifier.
Reports concerning racist chanting from the home stands have surfaced this evening, with fans alleged to have directed the abuse at Monaco striker Tchouameni.
This is the latest incident to smear Czech football after Sparta's city rivals Slavia were embroiled in a huge row with Rangers regarding Ondrej Kudela's racist behaviour towards Glen Kamara.
After both the club and player initially denying the case, the defender was found guilty by UEFA to have abused Ibrox midfielder in the Europa League last season.
That led to the minimum sanction of a 10 game ban, while Kamara was given three matches for an incident Kudela in the tunnel post-match.

Celtic fan who needed metal plate after attack slams court hearing of Ajax ultras after just 2 handed community service - 07/08/2021
Source : https://cambodia.bpositivenow.com/
AN international bid to convict Dutch hooligans of violence against Celtic fans has ended in farce, after just two thugs were handed community service orders in Holland.
Dozens of masked ultras from Ajax FC descended on pubs in the east end of Glasgow six years ago, battering supporters and pub staff with iron bars before a European match at Parkhead.
Neil O’Donnell, boss of The Hoops Bar, was knocked senseless with a slab of concrete and had to be fitted with a Titanium plate in his face, which will be there for life.
The Crown Office in Edinburgh drew criticism for giving up the right to prosecute 15 identified hooligans in a Scottish court, instead passing the files and witness statements to the Dutch Prosecution Service for them to stage a trial.
However, when proceedings concluded in Amsterdam this week, just two men were convicted over their part in the ‘riot’ and were handed community service orders of 150 and 200 hours.
It means they will do unpaid work in old folks’ homes and clean up kiddies’ play parks.
‘SENTENCE WON’T UNSCAR MY FACE’ Victim Mr O’Donnell said: “That sentence won’t un-scar my face. This was always a ‘show’ exercise by the Crown Office.
“As soon as they allowed the case to go to Holland I knew it would never come to anything. It’s a disgrace. They should have been put on trial here.”
No officers travelled to Holland for the trial but three went to Amsterdam in January 2020 to present evidence to an examining magistrate, ahead of this summer’s hearings.
When legal proceedings opened in Holland in June, the Dutch prosecutor said he was not convinced by their evidence against 10 of the accused.
Crown Office embarrassment is compounded by the fact that the Dutch legal authorities have used the end of the trial to criticise Scots prosecutors for the time they took to hand the case over to Holland.
A press statement issued at the end of the trial by The Dutch Courts of Law said: “When determining the penalty, it was taken into account that the handling of the case took a very long time.
“This was partly due to the transfer of the file from Scotland to the Dutch authorities and the corona pandemic.”
Explaining the reasons for acquitting the remaining 13 suspects, the statement added: “In three cases, although the file raises questions about the role of the suspects during the riots, the evidence is insufficient to determine exactly what their part was.
“Therefore, they should be acquitted. With regard to the last 10 suspects, the court agrees with the Public Prosecution Service and the defence that they should be acquitted because the camera images do not convincingly show that they can be seen in the images of the riots.”
In the November 2015 attacks, dazed victims were left wandering the streets of Glasgow’s city centre.
One bloodied fan was found in Central Station, more than a mile away, and couldn’t remember how he got there.
Billy Gold, the owner of the Hielan Jessie pub, in the Gallowgate, which was also attacked, described the night’s events as “violence on an industrial scale.”
The 64-year-old said: “I am particularly disappointed for Neil. He was treated disgracefully. No-one should go to their work and be assaulted.
“As far as the Crown Office is concerned, jurisdiction should lie where the crime happened. That means they should have been tried here.”
The Crown Office declined to comment.

Football Fans Disrupt Match in Serbia with Srebrenica Chants
A match in the ethnic Bosniak-majority city of Novi Pazar was temporarily halted because visiting fans of Belgrade club Partizan were chanting slogans celebrating the Srebrenica massacres and Bosnian Serb Army commander Ratko Mladic.
The referee of a match on Sunday evening between Novi Pazar FC and Belgrade club Partizan FC temporarily halted play because Partizan fans were chanting Ratko Mladic’s name and a slogan celebrating the 1995 mass killings of Bosniaks from Srebrenica.
The match was being played in Novi Pazar in southern Serbia, a city mainly inhabited by people of Bosniak origin. Around the 60th minute, the Partizan fans started to chant Mladic’s name and “Noz, zica, Srebrenica” (“Knife, wire, Srebrenica”).
The Novi Pazar players did not want to continue the game, but after a 38-minute halt, the match resumed after the Partizan fans were moved out of the stadium. There has been no public announcements of any arrests related to the incident.
Chanting about Mladic and Srebrenica is not new in Serbian football, where there have long been links between hardcore fans and ultranationalism.

Czech football club Sparta has identified the fans who shouted racist insults at Monaco player, filed a crime report against them and banned them from stadiums - 10/08/2021
Source : http://www.romea.cz/
Sparta Prague has identified the fans who shouted racist insults at Monaco player Aurélien Tchouaméni during a match in the 3rd preliminary round of the Champions League. The club wants to ban the culprits from attending any more matches and is filing a crime report against them.
The club has posted a statement to that effect on its official website. "During our investigation we analyzed video footage from the club's camera system and other footage, as a result of which an investigation was launched against the people who committed that unacceptable behavior. Thanks to our security system, those visitors to the stadium were identified and in the near future, after all the essential steps have been taken, they will be informed that they are forbidden to attend any future matches of AC Sparta Praha. The club is also filing a criminal report," the announcement posted yesterday reads.
The incident happened a week ago, when Tchouaméni, a Black player for Monaco, scored a goal and the Sparta fans began to roar in disapproval - in addition to racist abuse, plastic beer cups were thrown onto the pitch. The home side hooligans shouted racist insults at other Monaco players as well during the match.
David Lafata, a former captain for Sparta who was working as an announcer during the match, did his best to calm the turbulent atmosphere. Sparta's statement concludes with the claim that the club has long been opposed to any form of racism.

Stadium ban for fifteen Feyenoord fans after threat of board members - 11/08/2021
Source : https://netherlandsnewslive.com/
Feyenoord has imposed a stadium ban on fifteen supporters because of threats and intimidation. On June 5, they allegedly attacked board members of the Rotterdam club and those involved in the plans for a new stadium.
On that Saturday, among others, the Rotterdam architect Ard Buijsen had men dressed in black hoodies on the sidewalk, banging on the doors and windows and hurling all kinds of swear words at the architect.
The KNVB has yet to decide whether they will also receive a national stadium ban, a Feyenoord spokesperson said.
Threats Mountain House This morning it was announced that Steven Berghuis, in consultation with Ajax and his management, has filed a report after many serious threats to his family and himself after his transfer from Feyenoord to Ajax.
Some of the threats specifically refer to December 19, the day that the Classic Feyenoord-Ajax in De Kuip is on the program. The Orange international knew that his sensitive transfer from Rotterdam to Amsterdam would lead to criticism, but the messages he received were so threatening that he and his management saw no choice but to go to the police.
