'Drunk Cardiff City fans threatened kids, damaged bus and fought among themselves on Everton trip'
Reports of drunken Cardiff City fans fighting each other and damaging a bus during Saturday's Everton trip have prompted a warning from the Supporters' Club.
Anti-social behaviour from a minority of Bluebirds fans during away trips has been commonplace this season, according to Cardiff City Supporters Club (CCSC) spokesman Vince Alm, who revealed children had been threatened and seats were damaged during this latest incident.
He says certain fans have been flouting the rules about drinking on supporters' buses this season.
At Everton this weekend some fans were seen fighting and turning up too drunk to travel home, he claims.
"On the way back from Everton (on Saturday) we had grown men fighting on a coach in front of young kids and families who were terrified by the trouble," he said in an open letter to supporters.
"The steward of the coach had to use physical force in the end to break the fighting men up and took some blows himself.
"At one point some of the kids as young as 15 were threatened.
"We also caught supporters bringing alcohol on the coach and consuming alcohol on the coach even though they have been warned prior to booking with us.
"We had to leave supporters in Liverpool after the game because they were too drunk to get on the coach, we had one so drunk he didn’t know where he was and his coach left without him at 5.40pm after forcing 48 fellow supporters to sit on Priory Lane while he tried to find the coach.
"We have had drink-related incidents all season including abusive behaviour, bullying, and coach damage."
CCSC, which has seen greater numbers on its buses since Cardiff's promotion to the Premier League, has warned it may now impose more stringent measures to make it harder for supporters to travel to away games.
Neil Warnock and other managers have commented on the tremendous atmosphere created by Cardiff fans both home and away this season.
The relevant individuals have been banned from the supporters club - who are keen to stress that this is just a minority.
But Vince says numbers may have to be reduced — in terms of the travel offered by the Supporters' Club — if anti-social behaviour continues.
"This season we have had a lot more supporters travelling with us - an average of 500 per away game choosing to come on the supporter’s coaches which is fantastic," added Alm.
"However there has been an increase in incidents, all alcohol-related, which if it carries on, we will have to review our open policy that may make it harder for supporters to travel with us.
"Supporters travel with us because they do not want to get hammered every game, they like being in a safe environment that is why they bring their children on our coaches. We have OAPs, females, and families that travel with us.
"Their priority is to go and watch a football match they may have a couple of drinks before the game, but they don’t get smashed off their face."
"Poor behaviour, bullying, fighting, abusive behaviour, will not be tolerated on our coaches. You will be banned and any poor behaviour reported to the football club that threatens other supporters' safety.
"All we ask is you respect your fellow supporters, our code of conduct, and the coaches. You will be more than welcome to travel with us then."
Cardiff's next away games see them travel to West Ham, Watford and Crystal Palace with CCSC taking bookings for all three.
It is understood Cardiff City Football Club have been informed of the alleged incident, and South Wales Police have been consulted.

AEK Athens supporters leave Ajax fans bloodied after throwing PETROL BOMB in stands
CHAOS unfolded in the stands prior to AEK Athens' Champions League clash with Ajax in Greece.
Riot police were called into action to diffuse the situation after home supporters threw a petrol bomb and flares into the stands where the travelling Ajax fans were.
But shocking photos show the officers whacking the Dutch supporters with batons, leaving individuals with gruesome cuts.
One picture shows an Ajax fan reacting towards a police officer as he sports a bloodied face as a result of the violence.
While another shows an AEK Athens throwing a flare into the crowd as riot police simply look on.
Reports have suggested that Panathinaikos fans were amongst the travelling supporters, with the Greens and AEK sharing a fierce rivalry.
One supporter at the ground tweeted: "Riots in Athens. AEK fans attack Ajax box with fireworks because there are fans of Panathinaikos between the Amsterdammers."

Weapons seized in a bus of supporters
The Ultras Marseille were stopped by the German police when crossing the border. The latter carried out a control of the bus, in particular with the help of dogs. Hoods, knives, smoke, baseball bats or Molotov cocktails were found.
Dodgers and Fanatics at the stadium
The first bus was arrested, the German police decided to block all the following groups of supporters of Olympique Marseille (Winners and MTP). The Fanatics and the Dodgers, presumably passed earlier in the day, were able to reach the stadium. They are finally 200 Marseille supporters, out of 500 announced, to have reached the stadium of Eintracht surrounded by parking by the police. Some independent supporters on the spot could not enter the stadium, their tickets being in the hands of groups stranded at the border.
An order presented by the German police
The German police carried out their checks from 11 am this morning until 19:45, before presenting to the supporters a decree asking them to go home. According to our information, the German police has verbalized all supporters who were unable to present their identity card. There were several tens in this case.

The AEK Ultras were bashing in the door to the away stand with axes and crowbars - 29/11/2018
Source : https://rebrn.com/
The AEK Ultras were bashing in the door to the away stand with axes and crowbars. Their leader then consulted with the riot police who then stormed the Ajax fans' - Chief editor of het Parool, a Dutch newspaper who was in the away stand in Athens.
This is pretty much why away fans are not allowed in most games in the Greek league the last 15 years.
And why there is an empty buffer zone in matches between fan sections.
Greece has a problem with corruption. In other news water is wet and Mourinho hates attacking football.
Wtf is wrong with Greek fans that this needs to be enforced? And how do they get to enter the stadium with axes and crowbars ?
If they really wanted to get into the away stand they should've just hid inside a wooden horse.
