West Ham And Millwall Fans Clash During Boxing Fight - 20/10/2018
Source : http://www.sportbible.com/
Most people like to go to boxing to watch professionals fight each other. However during Johnny Garton's fight against Gary Corcoran it was impossible not to be drawn to the brawl in the crowd between Millwall and West Ham fans.
On Saturday night Frank Warren put on a fight card at Brentwood Centre in Essex which was headlined by Anthony Yarde.
However the headlines weren't from the boxing that was taking place in the ring, no matter how good some of it, but instead it was the fighting outside of the ring.
Johnny Garton and Gary Corcoran put on a great fight as the pair went hell for leather in a bout for the British welterweight title.
Garton was the winner, stopping the fight in the 11th round after handing out some big punishment, but the attention was taken away from the ring by a massive brawl outside the ring. Garton is a Millwall fan and tensions are believed to have boiled over due to his fandom with the club.
Frank Warren and officials had to warn people about their conduct and someone took to the mic to scream at fans shouting, "You came here to watch boxing so sit down!"
It must have been a distraction to both boxers as it continued during one of the rounds as well as through the mid round break.
It was a great night for Garton and certainly the fight of the night but it's a shame certain members of the crowd decided to ruin it.

Man arrested after 'significant disorder' following Bristol Rovers and Oxford United clash on Gloucester Road
A large police presence has descended on Gloucester Road after ‘significant disorder’ following a Bristol Rovers game earlier today.
Residents have described a number of police vehicles, including canine units, outside The Hobgoblin pub earlier this evening, with reports of a fight between rival football clubs.
Bristol Rovers drew 0-0 against a visiting Oxford United this afternoon, but it was after the final whistle that tensions flared as fans from both sides made their way into the city.
One man has been arrested following a fight earlier today, with police managing to contain the clash to ensure a minimal amount of damage to property.
Video footage from one altercation allegedly shows a group of Bristol Rovers fans chasing Oxford United supporters down a residential street.
A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “There was significant disorder following the Bristol Rovers vs Oxford United game today.
“Thankfully nobody was seriously injured and there was very little damage caused in the local area. Officers managed to disperse the trouble and one man was arrested.
“The behaviour by these so-called fans was totally unacceptable and we will be working hard along with both football clubs to identify and deal robustly with those found responsible.”

CSKA Moscow fans injured in escalator collapse ahead of Champions League clash with Roma
A number of supporters making their way to the game in the Italian capital found themselves caught up in chaos at a metro station near Stadio Olimpico The collapse of an escalator at a metro station in Rome has left a number of CSKA Moscow supporters nursing injuries.
Fans of the Russian club were making their way to a Champions League fixture in the Italian capital when they were caught up in the incident.
Panic among the travelling party was sparked at Piazza della Repubblica shortly before a continental clash.
One of the escalators providing access to platforms at the station gave way, forcing it to accelerate and send a number of those riding it crashing to the ground.
The weight of supporters, who were in high spirits as they sang songs and danced their way towards their destination, is believed to have led to the collapse.
Firefighters and medical professionals arrived quickly on the scene and provided assistance to those caught up in the chaos for over an hour.
They were able to free those unable to work themselves clear of the carnage, but around 20 people were left requiring assistance.
Of those, the vast majority are believed to have non-life threatening injuries while one suffered a badly fractured leg and has been left facing the threat of amputation.
Elsewhere in the Italian capital, CSKA fans became caught up in clashes with Roma rivals.
Local police were forced to intervene, amid reports of a stabbing, leading to two arrests.

Nailsworth residents were shocked by the scenes which unfolded outside the Britannia Inn at just after 1pm, one witness told the SNJ that they had "never seen anything on that scale in Nailsworth".
“There were about 40 fans who had cornered police officers,” one resident said. “There were flares being fired.”
A police spokesperson confirmed that officers had responded to several incidents involving fans before and during the Forest Green Rovers match with Cheltenham on Saturday.
“Around 30-50 Cheltenham fans and a small group of Forest Green fans were involved in fighting before the match," they said.
“Additionally, several Cheltenham fans set off flares in Nailsworth during disorder before the match and at the ground before kick-off."
Extra officers were called in to manage the situation and help maintain safety.
Just before the match ended at least a dozen police officers surrounded fans in the stands and appeared to hold them there while other attendees left the stadium.
Police dogs and their handlers were also on hand outside the Forest Green New Lawn ground during the game.
Investigators are currently collecting evidence of offences and collating the identities of all those involved in order that arrests and football banning orders can be proceeded with as appropriate.
