Pigs fly at the Valley as Charlton and Coventry fans stage joint protest
Charlton Athletic’s home game against Coventry City was briefly suspended by an unusual protest on Saturday, as small plastic pigs were thrown onto the pitch from both ends of The Valley.
The protest against owners of both clubs – Coventry’s Sisu and Charlton’s Roland Duchâtelet – followed a collective march outside the ground before kick-off, with supporters holding banners produced by Charlton supporters’ group Card (the Coalition Against Roland Duchatelet), reading “Charlton fans hate Sisu” and “Coventry fans hate Roland”.
The banners also included Card’s logo and paid tribute to Jimmy Hill, the former Coventry managing director and Charlton chairman. At kick-off, Card tweeted “Will the owners of Charlton & Coventry change their ways? Pigs might fly!”
Charlton fans have staged a number of memorable protests in recent months against Duchâtelet and Katrien Meire, the club’s chief executive. In March, fans staged a mock “funeral” for the club before the win over Middlesbrough, and threw beach balls onto the pitch during the game.

Real Madrid - Legia Warszawa - 18/10/2016
Source : http://www.dailymail.co.uk/
Legia Warsaw supporters clash with Spanish police ahead of heavy defeat by Real Madrid
Legia Warsaw players had a night to forget on the pitch and their supporters also let their club down before the encounter had even kicked off. Fans of the Polish side clashed with local police as an organised group of ultras decided to cause trouble in the Spanish capital. One supporter was seen holding a metal barrier in the air, while another was dripping with blood after getting into a confrontation with armed police.
Police, armed with batons and rubber bullets, turned up in their numbers for the fixture which was deemed as 'high risk' due to Legia Warsaw's history. Reports suggest five Polish supporters and two members of the police force were treated for injuries while food and scarves were said to be stolen from local stores. A Twitter account belonging to Spain's national police force revealed 12 people were arrested on Tuesday and they also called for 'respect and sportsmanship'.

Anderlecht fans arrested after Mainz disturbances before game
Up to 80 Anderlecht supporters were taken into custody prior to the Europa League game at Mainz after allegedly trying to attack the German club's fans in the city centre.
The Europa League fixture had been deemed "high risk" by local authorities in the Rhineland-Palatinate capital, with local police spokesperson Achim Hansen telling Allgemeine Zeitung: "We had intelligence that hooligans would come to Mainz to riot."
Those among the 2,000 Anderlecht who arrived early were shuttled into the city centre on local transport and monitored by police. The newspaper reported that, at around 5.15 p.m. local time, a group of hooligans were seen running down the street, apparently trying to attack Mainz supporters.
"They were prepared, masked, were wearing special weighted knuckle gloves and suddenly were moving at a quick pace," Hansen said, adding that the group were taken into custody and would be released after the match to return to Belgium.
While Allgemeine Zeitung said some 80 people were taken into custody, German news agency SID reported that 60 people missed the match and were forced to spend the evening in a prison cell.
Five police officers were injured during the attempted riots in the city and suffered with acoustic shock as a result of fans' use of bangers. In another incident at Mainz central station, a policewoman suffered a head injury and was taken into hospital as a precautionary measure, Allgemeine Zeitung said.

Italy: No Napoli fans at Juventus - 21/10/2016
Source : http://www.football-italia.net/
There will be no Napoli fans in Turin for the clash with Juventus next weekend, it has been confirmed.
For matches deemed as high-risk, it’s common practice in Serie A to prevent away fans from attending, with no Juventini at San Paolo for February’s game.
Now the prefecture of Turin has officially confirmed that the match on October 29 will not be accessible to fans from the Campania region.
The two sides fought for the Scudetto last season, and tension were raised this summer when the Bianconeri activated a release clause to sign Partenopei top-scorer Gonzalo Higuain.
