Very high risks game, with 4.000 KSC fans who travelled by trains, buses and private cars. Several of them are classified as Category C. Finally in retrospect, the police drew a positive balance sheet although 39 offences (grievous bodily harm, deteriorations, prohibited use of smoke-forming, rebellion to agents, etc.) were recorded, resulting in 18 arrests.

Man arrested for coin throwing at Hearts v Hibs match - 12/04/2016
Source : http://www.liveedinburghnews.org/
Police in Edinburgh have arrested and charged an 18-year-old man with culpable and reckless conduct after a coin-throwing incident at the Hearts v Hibernian match at Tynecastle on Sunday 7th February. He has appeared in court and was released with bail conditions that prohibit him from attending any football games. Inspector Bob Innes of Wester Hailes police station said: “Coin throwing is a national problem at football grounds which can cause serious injury. “Thanks to CCTV technology installed by Hearts we have been able to trace the individual responsible and make an arrest. “I would like this to serve as a reminder to football fans that we take a zero tolerance approach to incidents of this nature and we will use all means at our disposal to trace those responsible.”

Football fans involved in Sunderland mass brawl to be allowed back to games - 12/04/2016
Source : http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/
Football fans have convinced a judge to allow them back to games after they were involved in a dust up with Sunderland supporters in the city centre.
Football fans banned from games after they were involved in a large-scale brawl are to be allowed back to watch their team play again.
Six West Ham supporters were slapped with football banning orders after a mass scrap with Sunderland fans led to them getting arrested.
The group got themselves involved in shameful scenes in Sunderland city centre prior to their teams clash with the Black Cats at the Stadium of Light in January 2013.
The men were given suspended jail sentences, with unpaid work and other requirements, plus three year football banning orders in February 2014.
At Newcastle Crown Court on Tuesday, the six, who appeared in person, made an application for the bans to be lifted - a year before they are due to expire.
Judge Jeremy Freedman agreed to allow the men back at matches. He said it appeared that all six were otherwise “decent young men” who have stayed out of trouble since their involvement in the brawl.
The judge said: “You are, all six of you, decent young men, none of whom have any significant previous convictions and, from what I have read in the letters you sent to the court, been getting on with your lives in a respectable and proper fashion.
“There is not much of the season left but you can enjoy the few remaining matches.”
Judge Freedman said the violence the men were involved in at Sunderland was “disgraceful” and warned any further trouble could result in lifetime bans.
He added: “If any of you commits any kind of offence remotely similar to that which you did when you cane to Sunderland you will find yourselves facing a ban for life.”
Craig Defew, 24, of Layhill Close, Bury St. Edmonds, Suffolk, Harry Saunders, 21, of Martindale Avenue, Basildon, Essex, Matthew Dobberson, 21, of Padnall Court, Essex, Jack Donovan, 21, of Masiters Walk, Romford, Essex, Ryan Evans, 21, of Cumberland Close, Hornchurch, Essex, and Christopher Draddy, 27, of Cheriton Close, St. Albans, Herts, will now be allowed back at Premiership and England matches, which they had been banned from.
Judge Freedman said it appears the men have “learnt their lesson” by their court appearances.

Coventry City fan wins pay-out from West Midlands Police after 'vicious assault' - 12/04/2016
Source : http://www.bbc.com/
A football fan who was repeatedly kneed in the head by a police officer after being arrested at a match has received a five-figure compensation settlement. Mark Wynn, 48, was assaulted after challenging PC Ricki Allsop at Coventry City's stadium in 2011. An investigation was launched after another officer intervened and later informed senior colleagues about the officer's conduct. West Midlands Police said PC Allsop was given a final written warning. Ch Insp Brian Carmichael, from the force's professional standards department, said the settlement had been decided after the officer was brought before a misconduct panel.
Mr Wynn had attended Coventry's clash with Derby County with his 14-year-old son in September 2011.
Some fans had been protesting about the club's owners and Mr Wynn, who was not involved in the protest, said he challenged PC Allsop over why he was not wearing his badge, and questioned the officers' behaviour towards fans. Mr Wynn said the officer insulted him before arresting him and taking him to cells in the ground. He claimed he was then "viciously assaulted" by PC Allsop, who claimed Mr Wynn had been resisting arrest. "He struck me three times in the face and head with his knee. I was still handcuffed with my hands beneath my back," Mr Wynn said. A second officer intervened and pulled him off Mr Wynn, before lodging a complaint with the force later that day. Conviction overturned Mr Wynn was subsequently convicted of a public order offence and banned from attending matches. However, he was not made aware the officer had submitted a written statement about PC Allsop's conduct until after he was successful in getting his conviction and ban overturned. A spokesman for the Football Supporters' Federation, which provided Mr Wynn with legal help throughout the case, said it was a "concern" that knowledge of the statement was not initially passed on to the Crown Prosecution Service. "Mark was prosecuted despite the fact the statement fatally undermined PC Allsop's credibility," the spokesman said. "Had Mark not made a complaint while in custody it is unlikely PC Allsop would ever have been brought to book for what he did."

Marseille boss Vincent Labrune faces fans' anger after poor run - 12/04/2016
Source : ESPN
Marseille president Vincent Labrune has defended his decision to play a billiards tournament at the Stade Velodrome following the club's latest disappointing result.
Marseille played out a dour 0-0 draw with Bordeaux on Sunday in what was their ninth Ligue 1 game without a win and fourteenth league match in a row at home in which they failed to pick up three points.
At times the atmosphere turned ugly and several arrests were made as home supporters directed their anger at Labrune, and Marseille owner Margarita Louis-Dreyfus.
Having been spotted and shouted at by irate fans at the end of the game, Labrune was given a police escort to the presidential suite by a specialist group of police officers.
Advised to stay there until it was safe to leave the ground, Labrune decided to pass the time by playing billiards with friends and staff who were also confined to the area.
"I understand that in the media, the billiards tournament might be perceived badly," Labrune told RMC on Monday.
"But it has to be put in context. At that moment, we were in a state of stress.
"We had just come close to a riot, the anti-crime unit of the police were protecting me with a hand on their guns -- all of them ordering us to remain confined in the suite until at least 2 a.m. in the morning."
Labrune said he then had two solutions: to give in to the panic or to reassure the people he was with.
"My only message is that I'm not afraid," he said.
"Nobody is in my place and nobody can realise what I go through at Marseille.
"The guy whose house is graffitied, who is threatened with death and insulted, it's me and no one else.
"And threats against my wife and my family, I cannot accept."
Last week Labrune attended a crisis meeting with Dreyfus in Zurich after which it was decided that manager Michel would remain in place until the end of the season.
The 2010 French champions are 14th in Ligue 1, six points above the relegation zone with five games to play. They will face Ligue 2 side Sochaux in the Coupe de France semi-finals on April 20.

Spain: Real Betis B - Balompédica Linense - 10/04/2016
After the game Linense supporters, who were waited their bus to came back home, were attacked by, it seems, Betis supporters. Some people were injured and others arrested.
With their new 42,000-seat soccer stadium, nestled on the Bosphorus shore near an Ottoman palace, Istanbul's Besiktas are blessed with a venue likely to inspire jealousy among teams across the globe. But the vision which it offers of a new era for Turkish clubs, long beleaguered by financial woes, was clouded before the first ball was kicked on Monday night when police fired tear gas as crowds gathered near the arena. Heavy-handed security marred the team's final game at its old stadium three years ago and is just one of the challenges, alongside low attendance and high debt levels, that Turkish soccer needs to tackle to boost its global standing. For Besiktas board member Metin Albayrak, gazing down upon a stadium decked out in the 13-times Turkish champions' black-and-white colours, the $100 million Vodafone Arena is a major part of the solution to those problems. "This stadium is very important for Besiktas and Turkish football, to take Besiktas forward both financially and spiritually," he told Reuters before the arena's opening. He said Besiktas was set to reach a target of 120 million lira ($42 million) annual gate receipts, up from just 20 million at the old stadium, having sold some 30,000 season tickets. Attendance in Turkey averages just 7,000 but, despite high ticket prices, Besiktas is, for now, seen capable of keeping the arena full of fans eager for a return to their home venue after three years' absence, soccer writer Bagis Erten said. "There is a great longing among fans, so everybody will go to matches," he told Reuters. "But things such as the price policy and police intervention might mean even the Besiktas fans who want to go most change their attitude next season." Turkish clubs are under pressure to raise prices and attract more spectators to pay off mounting debt after years of overspending driven by ambitions to join top international rankings. Opaque ownership structures, which have shielded clubs from much of the oversight of commercial law, and buying in celebrity players has left the 18 teams in Turkey's top league 4.2 billion Turkish lira in debt. LIVING WITHIN MEANS That led last month to champions Galatasaray, despite the boost of a new stadium opened five years ago, being banned by UEFA from European competition for a year for failing to meet financial regulations. Against that backdrop, Albayrak said clubs needed to temper their ambitions with realism and live within their means. "Someone might say 'My income is enough to buy a mid-range car but I want a Ferrari'. But if I get a Ferrari I will go bankrupt. It's the same with clubs. They need to act according to their earnings," he said. The close scrutiny of UEFA was a blessing in disguise for Turkish football, Albayrak said, helping it to put its house in order and instilling discipline among clubs tempted to make big name transfers to curry favour with fans. "Football is very popular in Turkey and it is a way of life for people and everyone one is focused one thing, they like big foreign transfers. But at the end of the day, clubs need to be managed like companies," he said. Besiktas itself has enjoyed strong support from the government in building its stadium, with President Tayyip Erdogan saying at the official inauguration on Sunday the government had put in 50 million lira to help with the cost. The praise which Besiktas' chairman lavished on the president at the opening ceremony was in stark contrast to the hostility which its "Carsi" supporters group showed towards Erdogan during anti-government street protests three years ago. The police intervention ahead of Monday's game, while apparently triggered by overcrowding rather than any protest, was a reminder of the potential for unrest that could tarnish the excitement generated by the new stadium. But Albayrak said the focus of the fans needed to be on the club's targets on the pitch: winning the domestic league next season and reaching a European final the following season. With six games remaining, Besiktas beat Bursaspor 3-2 in Monday night's match, putting them six points clear of Fenerbahce, who have a game in hand. Besiktas last won the domestic title in 2009. Dublin derby turns violent as Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers fans clash on the pitch in shocking scenes
Fans of Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers clashed inside the stadium as the Dublin derby turned sour.
On a night where Shamrock should have been celebrating their emphatic 4-0 win over their great rivals, shocking scenes took the headlines.
A lone Bohemians fan entered the field of play after the fourth goal in the 78th minute and charged towards the away fans at Dalymount Park.
A couple of Hoops fans reacted and jumped the advertising hoardings to start a punch-up on the pitch between the supporters.
Riot police soon arrived as the situation began to get out of hand, with missiles being thrown between the two sets of fans.
Order was eventually restored to allow the final minutes of the game to play out without further incident.
Video footage from the clash shows over a dozen fans from both sides on the pitch as stewards try and calm the situation.

Red Star and Partizan draw in troubled Belgrade derby
Serbian champions Partizan Belgrade drew 1-1 at leaders Red Star in yet another city derby marred by crowd trouble in and outside the ground on Saturday.
Violence inside the Rajko Mitic stadium erupted late in the first half when rival supporters hurled seats and flares at each other, forcing riot police to move in.
Belgrade media reported that fans also clashed on a suburban motorway on the way to the stadium, grinding traffic to a halt before police arrived to restore order.
The fixture, which has a history of serious crowd trouble including fatalities, offered preciously few fireworks on the pitch until the last 10 minutes.

Furious Everton fan confronts Roberto Martinez after Southampton draw
A tame 1-1 draw with Southampton did not serve the Everton manager’s appeasement policy before next weekend’s trip to Wembley and Ronald Koeman had cause to regret failing to take advantage of enduring Goodison rancour.
Everton were understrength and the stadium was on edge, typified when a fan ran on the pitch and tried to confront Martinez following Saido Mane’s 76th minute equaliser.
The lone supporter – booed it must be said by the majority of Everton fans – remonstrated with Leon Osman before being escorted away by police. It was hardly the trigger for mass dissent, but on the back of the banners calling for Martinez's dismissal at Watford last weekend the disharmony is lingering and growing.
