Violent clashes between fans at Islington pub after West Ham and Arsenal match
The trouble reportedly flared when a group of fans attempted to storm the White Swan pub in Upper Street, close to Highbury Corner, following West Ham's shock 2-0 victory over the Gunners.
Witnesses said chairs and stools were hurled from within the pub, part of the J D Wetherspoon group, into a crowd standing in the street.
The video taken from outside shows several men flinging glasses while one lifts a chair above his head, as if about to throw it back inside, before the clip cuts out.
Families with frightened children were allegedly trapped inside at the time.
Matthew Fallon told the Standard: “My nan, auntie and her kids were in the back of the Wetherspoon when fans ran in flipping tables around.
“The kids were scared with them being eight and five because they have never experienced anything like that before.”
He added: “My family usually go to that Wetherspoon and have never had a problem with anyone in there before."
The violence erupted at about 7pm, a few hours after Arsenal’s home defeat to their east London rivals at the Emirates Stadium in nearby Holloway.
On Twitter, Cherryl Rose Dris wrote: "So much pent-up emotions from footie fans back here in Highbury! stools were flying from a Wetherspoons pub on Upper Street!"
Dan Fordham, an iPhone app developer, tweeted: "Ugly scenes on Upper Street right now, big fight outside Wetherspoons between football supporters, chairs flying. Police took ages to arrive."
A woman known only as Christina wrote: "Fans trying to storm the Swan in highbury."
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said officers were called to reports of a large fight at the White Swan at 7.09pm.
He said two people were injured but not seriously hurt and no arrests were made. Enquiries are ongoing, he added.

England : Aldershot football hooligans face jail time - 14/08/2015
Source : http://www.964eagle.co.uk/
Aldershot football hooligans are facing jail time and banning orders after an incident before a match against Portsmouth in the FA Cup in November.
The case follows an incident of large scale public disorder inside the John Jacques pub on Fratton Road on the morning of the match.
Whilst trying to disrupt the brawl, two officers were cut with broken glass. Further violent incidents also took place after the game.
The match ended 2-2 with some 2,500 Shots fans making the short trip down to the south coast.
Some consider Aldershot and Portsmouth to be rivals, with the former being home of the British Army and the latter being home of the British Navy.
Portsmouth Crown Court gave four Aldershot and three Portsmouth fans a total of 24 years in Football Banning Orders (FBO) on Friday.
Five of the seven men were sent to prison and one faces a further sentence hearing.
The Aldershot fans involved were: •Alfie Lynch, 21, of Brookfield Road, Aldershot. He was convicted of affray and received eight months imprisonment plus a six year FBO. •Michael Singh, 50, of Church Hill, Aldershot. He was convicted of affray. Further hearing to be held for sentencing and decision on FBO yet to be made. •William Stocking, 27, of Quarry Road, Godalming. He was convicted of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour and received a 12 week sentence suspended for 12 months. •Ronnel Chambers, 23, from Aldershot. He was convicted of affray and received eight months imprisonment plus a six year FBO.
Chief Inspector Jason Kenny, who was match commander at the game last November, said: "Hampshire Constabulary will not tolerate violent behaviour by any so-called football supporters which intimidates innocent members of the public and brings disruption to the peace of the local community."
"As police commander at the game, I can say that this was the most significant football-related disorder in Hampshire for the last few years, and was followed by a full criminal investigation.
"Community safety and wellbeing is the key mission of Hampshire Constabulary, and we will use the full powers available to us within the law to prosecute all those who bring violence to these events and get you banned from all forms of football for as long as possible.
"The vast majority of supporters attend football to enjoy the game and do so peacefully. People should be able to bring their children and family members to the matches without worry.
"We will robustly pursue anyone who does anything to compromise this."

Norway : Hooligans infiltrate Oslo club’s ‘Klan’ - 14/08/2015
Source : http://www.newsinenglish.no/
Oslo’s major football club, Vålerenga, has long been known for its highly enthusiastic fans organized in a group known as the “Klan.” They have nothing to do with the white supremacist group in the US with a similar name, but now Oslo police suspect they’ve been infiltrated by football hooligans and even neo-Nazis intent on causing trouble.
“There’s been a shift among the supporters at Vålerenga,” Einar Aas, an inspector for the Oslo Police District, told newspaper Aftenposten on Friday. “We can confirm that there’s now an unfortunate connection to crime and criminal groups.”
Unwelcome ‘support’
Aas, who has long worked on cases involving gangs in Oslo and leads the Oslo police’s organized crime section, declined to elaborate. Aftenposten, however, reported that Vålerenga’s “Klan” fans are in an uproar because of a closed group of other fans calling themselves the “Isko Boys” who are now “supporting” Vålerenga and spoiling the fun for other fans in the process. Aftenposten also reported that the Isko Boys allegedly have ties to the motorcycle club Bandidos, which police claim has many members with criminal convictions.
The Isko Boys, once described by a member as “an arena where men can be men” and are “allowed to be aggressive,” have now managed to occupy a section of the grandstands at Norway’s national football stadium Ullevaal in Oslo, which Vålerenga uses as its home turf. They reportedly believe that football and violence go together. Aftenposten reported they were badly beaten during a clash with fans supporting Swedish football club Djurgården early this month, but continue to invite brawls with other groups of “casuals,” the word often used for violent football fans.
During a match against rival football club Stabæk in Bærum last month, however, one of Vålerenga’s own “Klan” members was allegedly assaulted by members of the Isko Boys. The Vålerenga supporter had come to the aid of a female Vålerenga worker who was being accosted by Isko Boys members because she has been involved in court cases against Isko Boys members.
Ties to racist violence
“It hadn’t really bothered us ordinary fans if these people want to meet in a forest and fight until the blood is flowing,” one Vålerenga Klan member, who didn’t want to be identified, told Aftenposten. “But now there have been several episodes where they have attacked our own supporters, too. That’s not acceptable.”
In another criminal case coming up in an Oslo court this month, three men are charged with racist violence and Aftenposten reported that at least one of them is a member of Isko Boys. He reportedly is known in several neo-Nazi groups both in Norway and abroad, and charged with unprovoked violence against two Muslim men on an Oslo street last winter.
Both police and Vålerenga officials have tried to use what they call “dialogue” among the fans, to quell the violence. Now police are also resorting to restricting violent fans’ access to matches, bars and cafés used by the football club’s ordinary fans and other locations. Police were to be on hand at this weekend’s upcoming match between Vålerenga and Rosenborg in Trondheim.

Police react to Armagh Road attack on football fans after Ports match
Police had to deal with post-match trouble on the Armagh Road after Portadown’s Irish League game against Cliftonville.
Officers and vehicles were used to protect Cliftonville supporters from attack as they headed away from Shamrock Park towards the town centre.
Fans walking down the Armagh Road were met by a large group, some armed with weapons such as sticks.
However, the PSNI moved quickly to divide the two sections before any violence could take place.
“There were maybe 30 or so people on each side,” said one witness. “Cliftonville supporters were protected by police before anything could happen but there was potential for serious trouble.”
The Danske Bank Premiership match finished in a 1-0 win for Cliftonville and a Portadown official confirmed a trouble-free game.
“The match was regarded as a medium to high security risk due to the history of the fixture but there was no reason to suspect any trouble in particular today,” said a club spokesman. “We followed protocol as discussed in standard pre-match meetings with PSNI officials and representatives from the two clubs.
“We had external security in place to search supporters as they entered the ground.
“The match was free from any trouble.”

Club Brugge fans clash with police before Champions League tie against Manchester United
Around 3,000 Club Brugge fans travelled over for the first leg of their qualifier against the Reds.
It is understood police had escorted a group of them from the city centre to Old Trafford prior to the game.
However, trouble flared as they approached the ground around 45 minutes before kick-off.
The video, shot by a passing fan, shows fans of the Belgian side goading United supporters as they were being held outside Hotel Football, close to the stadium.
Others then appear to then run at officers with two being rugby tackled to the floor.
One United fan who witnessed it said: “I had seen them walking up Trafford Road with the police.
“But when they were being held outside the Hotel they started to get a bit agitated.
“They were goading Reds as they walked past and some of them started attacking the police for some reason.
“It was all over pretty quickly but it wasn’t great, especially with so many kids and families around.”
Inside the ground the Brugge fans chanted the name of Manchester City skipper Vincent Kompany and the Liverpool anthem You’ll Never Walk Alone in a bid to wind-up the United faithful.

England : Bradford City fan banned from games for three years after headbutting rail employee - 19/08/2015
Source : http://www.itc.com
A Bradford City fan who headbutted an off-duty rail employee, has been given a 12-month suspended sentence and has been banned from attending any game for three years following a British Transport Police investigation.
41-year-old Paul Whitehead received the three year football banning order at Sheffield Crown Court for the attack, which resulted in his victim having his two front teeth broken.
Whitehead had been returning by train from Bradford City’s game against Doncaster Rovers at the Keepmoat Stadium, Doncaster, on Friday 3 April, shortly before 10.30pm.
He was one of a group of disorderly fans approached by an off duty Virgin Trains East Coast staff member who asked them to calm down.
Whitehead first threatened his victim before headbutting him in the face.
Whitehead was handed a 12 month custodial sentence suspended for two years, 120 hours of unpaid work, 40 hours of anger management and must pay £2,500 compensation to his victim. He was also issued with a three year Football Banning Order, which severely restricts his use of the railway.

Police in central Kyiv trying to prevent clashes between Ukrainian, Polish football fans
Law enforcers have arrested, and are checking the identities of the young men who were outside the Arsenalna subway station in Kyiv and tried to run away on seeing the police.
"A group of aggressive young men gathered outside the Arsenalna subway station in Kyiv. When law enforcers tried to speak to them, they ran away into the subway," the Kyiv police said on Thursday.
Given the events at Hydropark and suspecting that some of the young men may have been involved in an overnight brawl among football fans, police officers tried to find out from the aggressive group what their intentions and purposes were of staying in the city center. But as the police approached them, the young men ran away and then descended onto the platform at the Arsenalna station.
To make sure none of the passengers gets hurt, the aggressive youths were rounded up and other citizens asked not to go down onto the platform for a while.
The young men are now being gradually taken out of the subway and to local police stations for checking their identities and whether they were involved in the brawl near the Hydropark subway station.
The Kyiv police said earlier that a brawl involving about 50 men had occurred outside the Hydropark subway station in Kyiv in the early hours of this morning. Nine people were brought to police stations following the incident.
Meanwhile, a scuffle also is taking place at Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square) in central Kyiv on Thursday. Several dozen teenagers are trying to get access to a cafe with Polish football fans. A group of up to a hundred Poles of robust build are standing inside the secured perimeter.
Several hundred police officers are on site to prevent clashes between the football fans. Policemen in helmets formed a live cordon between the groups of fans to prevent clashes.
Smoke bomb explosions are audible at Maidan proper.
More than 60 hooligans were arrested.
