It was hooliganism, chief of the Samara police Sergei Solodovkikov said. The murder of a Spartak FC fan in a cafe in the Russian Volga city of Samara had no extremist motives, chief of the Samara police Sergei Solodovkikov said on Sunday.
"This crime has no extremist motives. It was hooliganism," he said and praised police officers for swift actions to detain the suspect.
Moscow resident Anton Feoktistov, 28, who came to Samara to support his football team Spartak at a match with the local club, was killed in a cafe overnight to August 9.
Criminal proceeding on murder charges were opened.

A 29 year old man was arrested in The Hague on Saturday following a ADO fan protest. The man was arrested for gross insult and shouting antisemitic slogans during the protest march, the police announced on Sunday. The Public Prosecutor is investigating the antisemitic slogans shouted by ADO supporters.

The protest started on the Plein at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Around 6:45 the group started marching through The Hague center. According to the police, the march went down without any destruction of property and without serious skirmishes.

The police kept an eye on the march, but at an “appropriate distance”. Some supporters shouted antisemitic slogans during the march. The police decided not to intervene immediately, due to the possible escalation that police intervention could cause.

The police kept an eye on the suspect and arrested him when he left the square. He will appear in court on a later date. According to the police, more arrests may follow.

New York football supporters BRAWL before Red Bulls vs NY City FC derby with 'English fans involved'

This is the moment rival New York football fans brawled in the streets as violence marred an MLS derby match.

Two gangs of supporters were seen fighting in New Jersey yesterday afternoon ahead of a heated clash between the New York Red Bulls and newly-formed New York City Football Club.

In scenes mirroring that of European hooligan gangs, shirtless men bellowed 'who are ya?' at one another as they advertising boards and fists flew.

The fight only stopped when police arrived.

New York City fan, Kevin Ashwell, 38, claimed several of the fans were English

Tensions had been building for a few hours when rival fans began drinking near Red Bull's bar," he said.

"One guy threw a can of beer and it just descended into violence.

"If it wasn't for the police siren it would of gone a lot longer. It seems we gave the American's our football and now we're giving them our violence."

Macedonian hooligans chant racist slogans, beat E. Albanian women and children after football match

Macedonian hooligans chanted racist slogans against Ethnic Albanians during a football match of Sunday in capital Skopje and beat twelve people, including women and children after a draw between hosting ‘Vardar’ football club and ‘Shkupi' (Skopje) of country’s first division.

“Only a dead Albanian is a good one” Macedonian supporters of Vardar club chanted during the game, which ended with 2:2 draw in the  “Philip the II-nd” stadium in capital Skopje.

No Albanian supporters were allowed at the stadium by the police because of security reasons.

The situation derailed after the match when frustrated Macedonian Vardar’s supporters assaulted Ethnic Albanian inhabitants in the Batincë village near the capital, injuring ten women and a youngster of 14-years old among them.

The hooligans continued their assault in the ‘City Mall” of the capital causing severe injuries to another two Ethnic Albanian youngsters.

No arrests were made by the Macedonian police so far.

Last night was dramatic and shocking for Marseille in many ways. According to RTL, after Marseille’s home defeat to Caen last night, French winger Florian Thauvin was verbally abused and spat on by fans.

Thauvin is then understood to have proceeded to get out of the car before scuffling physically with one of his tormentors before getting back in his vehicle. Madness in Marseille, but will this combined with Bielsa’s shock departure force Thauvin to make a move elsewhere?

Violence breaks out between rival fans ahead of Stockholm derby

The Stockholm derby between AIK Fotboll and Djurgarden was marred by violence between rival supporters on Monday night.

Video footage has emerged showing the unsavoury scenes prior to the match, which eventually resulted in a 1-0 victory for AIK.

According to 101greatgoals.com, a group of AIK ultras attacked Djurgarden supporters in a pub, and the violence spilled out to the nearby streets.
