Argentina : Boca terracing closed after crowd violence in River clash - 06/05/2013
Source : http://sports.yahoo.com
Boca Juniors have had two tiers of terracing at their La Bombonera stadium closed after crowd violence at Sunday's "superclasico" against River Plate and face a possible suspension of the entire ground.
Hardcore Boca fans on the terracing behind the goal River were defending in the second half lit flares and threw fireworks and objects into the penalty box causing referee German Delfino to halt play for nearly 10 minutes.
Delfino said he came very close to abandoning the match, that ended in a 1-1 draw between the bitter rivals.
This was the first "superclasico, the biggest match on the Argentine league calendar, at La Bombonera since River were promoted back to the first division after relegation in 2011.
"We have opened a case to see who's responsible. What we're investigating are fireworks being taken into the stadium," public prosecutor Martin Lopez Zavaleta told TN television on Monday.
"The (security) operation failed because there should not have been all those fireworks and banners inside the stadium. We confiscated film footage, we're not ruling anything out," he said.
"The investigation is to find out who failed and who didn't carry out their duties."
Delfino, quoted in the sports daily Ole, said: "We were close to suspending (the match)."
This would have likely resulted in Boca being docked points.
Boca fans lit fireworks and displayed banners mocking River for their relegation about 15 minutes from fulltime when rival coach Ramon Diaz was sent to the stands by Delfino for dissent.
As he walked off, Diaz made a gesture of denial with his index finger.

Germany : Police crackdown on hooligans - 07/05/2013
Source : http://www.enca.com
Police carried out raids on homes in four German states Tuesday in a crackdown on violent football fans.
Some 450 officers were involved in the raids on 43 homes in the states of Brandenburg, Berlin, Hamburg and Mecklenburg-Pomerania, a police spokeswoman in Rostock said.
Police seized clubs, fireworks, drugs, computers, mobile phones and other material, and said they were investigating 38 people on charges of aggravated breach of the peace and serious assault.
Most of the raids were carried out in the northern city of Rostock and followed a number of attacks by fans of Hansa Rostock on rival supporters in the city and elsewhere, police said.

Italy : Juventus, Atalanta fined for crowd trouble - 10/05/2013
Source : http://www.newstrackindia.com
Italian Serie A football clubs Juventus and Atalanta have been fined 50,000 euros for the crowd trouble that caused an eight minute suspension of their Wednesday game.
The match, which Juventus won 1-0 in Bergamo, was halted as the home side's supporters threw objects at a bus full of Juventus fans outside the stadium, and inside it the two sets of supporters threw fireworks and other objects on to each other, reports Xinhua.
Juventus head coach Antonio Conte and players from both teams had to stop the match and plead with the supporters to stay calm.
The Serie A Disciplinary Commission released a report Thursday revealing that five people were injured in the clashes, which saw tiles broken off from the stadium toilets and used as projectiles.

Charleroi view
About 200 PSV lads joined by 20 Charleroi friends to start the day (busses and boat party). A fight broke out in a "calm" (not surrounding by police) of Rotterdam after we waited for a while... A good fight and several Feyenoorders punched. Disappointed about them because they retreated after 40 seconds of fight but respect because they did not play today. Fair fight, only punches except at the end due to the fact they were disgusted but that's normal.
Respect to our PSV brothers - Together we stand - Never surrender !

Source : http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk
TOTAL number of arrests made in connection with last month's under-17s match now stands at seven – and police said more are expected
TWO 16-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with a disturbance during a youth cup final between Celtic and Rangers, taking the total number of arrests to seven.
The pair were arrested over alleged offensive conduct at the Glasgow Cup under-17s match at Firhill Park last month.
The pair were arrested at addresses in Penicuik, Midlothian, and Paisley on Wednesday.
It is understood both teenagers were released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date. A report is being submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Police Scotland previously said three men, aged 28, 21 and 19, and two 17-year-olds have been arrested and reported to the the procurator fiscal in connection with the disturbance.
The match, at the home of Partick Thistle, was the first meeting of the two teams since Rangers were liquidated and the new club entered the Third Division.
Kick-off was delayed as supporters set off flares and smoke bombs, while seats were damaged in the stands.
Fans also reportedly invaded the pitch at the match, which was attended by about 6000 people.
Officers said further arrests can be expected.
