Beşitaş fans beaten with sticks during Orduspor win
Three men beat a group of Beşiktaş fans with iron sticks at the İnönü Stadium during the Spor Toto Super League game against Orduspor on April 27.
The daily Hürriyet reported that after the final whistle, a group of fans started protesting against the team’s coach Samet Aybaba. Then three men from the VIP stands went down to the lower seats to attack the fans with sticks.
The hits broke the nose and teeth of one fan. The incidents happened right in front of the press stands, the daily added.
Police detained the three men, one of whom said he was the bodyguard of Beşiktaş board member Tamer Kıran, the daily reported. However, Kıran denied having a bodyguard and a relationship with the person.
The attacks prompted larger protests against the Beşiktaş board.

Before the game, at 10.20am, riots broke out in the Barbarossa Place, in Koln, opposing supporters from both teams. Twenty-nine supporters were arrested by police and one policeman was slightly wounded. It seems about 50 to 60 hooligans clashed and they disappeared when police arrived in the scene, some of them taking taxis.

Spartak Moscow - Anzhi Makhachkala - 28/04/2013

Hooligans strike again in Russia
Hooliganism dominated the Russian Premier League for the second week in a row, as crowd trouble at a game between Spartak Moscow and Anzhi Makhachkala saw police make 70 arrests.
According to reports in the Russian press, trouble both during and after the game forced Moscow police to intervene at Luzhniki stadium on Sunday. Russian police made 130 arrests at last week's fierce local derby with city rivals CSKA Moscow. Such was the severity of trouble they encountered at that game, the Russian interior ministry felt compelled to release a statement calling for support in stamping out hooliganism in Russian football. The game between Spartak and Anzhi attracted a crowd of 19,000, with 1,300 away fans travelling from Dagestan. Spartak won the game 2-0 in a victory that has significantly dented third placed Aznhi's hopes for a run into second place, and the final qualifying spot for next season's Champions League. The Moscow side are now only three points behind in fourth place, with four games left to play this season.

AFC Wimbledon - Fleetwood Town - 27/04/2013

Man injured after fight between rival fans after AFC Wimbledon match versus Fleetwood at Kingsmeadow
A man was injured after rival football fans fought at Norbiton station following AFC Wimbledon's relegation-escaping victory.
The violence broke out after Wimbledon beat Fleetwood Town at Kingsmeadow earlier in the day.
Crowds had invaded the pitch at the final whistle to celebrate staying in the Football League.
The British Transport Police were called to reports of a fight at Norbiton station on Saturday shortly before 6.30pm.
A spokeswoman from the British Transport Police said: “We received a report of two groups of men fighting at Norbiton station.
"Officers attended and found that a man had been struck on the back of the head, causing a cut which required hospital treatment.
"Police are currently investigating the full circumstances of the incident, which is believed to have originated on the stairs of the underpass on the London-bound platform".
But Michael Fisher, a Dons Trust founder member, tweeted: "How many arrests were made for disorder at Norbiton station yesterday where I met 30 @ftfc fans who felt intimidated?"
He asked the Met Police: "What video evidence exists of a person grabbing a traffic cone and bashing it against subway wall at Norbiton station?"
Mr Fisher added: "I await reply on incident at Norbiton station yesterday involving soccer fans: true supporters @ftfc but not Wimbledon 'fans'"
"Why were visiting fans from @ftfc not better protected by your officers? Poor crowd control on a tense day for @AFCWimbledon".
"I spoke to a number of Fleetwood fans, some of whom had children with them, and they were not causing any aggro."

England : Scunthorpe United - Swindon Town - 27/04/2013

Stabbing fears as football fans clash
TROUBLE from Scunthorpe supporters marred the season finale for Swindon Town this weekend.
Several arrests were made at the match, which was held at Glanford Park, and rumours later swept across social network sites that a Swindon Town fan had been stabbed after the game.
However, Humberside Police said they had not dealt with any such reports, but that a number of arrests had been made at the game.
The trouble started after James Collins put the visitors ahead in the 83rd minute, with both sets of fans clashing in one corner of the ground, separated by a metal gate.
A handful of Scunthorpe fans jumped the advertising hoarding and ran on to the pitch from the Clugston Stand, but were stopped by stewards and police before they could reach Town fans.
Play was held up for three or four minutes while the offenders were rounded up and ejected from the ground.
The trouble continued outside the ground after the game and many people took to Twitter to fuel the rumour mill.
Swindon Town FC chairman Jed McCrory tweeted after the game: “Rumours a Swindon fan was stabbed today. Condolences with him and his family. If anyone can let me know how and where he is it would be appreciated.”
He later went on to explain that he had not seen anything himself but had received texts informing him of the trouble.
Another fan wrote: “lad got a slap then pulled blade got arrested before he could use it, can’t believe the rumour mill.”
Adver chief sports writer Sam Morshead, who was inside the ground, said: “We were leaving an hour and a half after the game but we did hear sirens from inside the ground during the press conferences.
“There were still 20 to 30 police officers outside the ground when we came to leave.
“The trouble started after the Swindon goal. As soon as that went in, the two sets of fans came together.
“There was a metal gate between them and a handful of stewards.
“Between 15 and 30 Scunthorpe fans jumped the advertising boards and ran the length of the pitch to confront the Swindon fans.
“I saw at least three being taken away by police.”

Scotland : Extra police to tackle football thugs - 29/04/2013
Source : http://www.scotsman.com
A SEMI-professional football club has drafted in extra police and security to control a group of yob supporters calling themselves the “Edinburgh City Ultras”.
Edinburgh City, who play at Meadowbank, have called in reinforcements and banned under-18s from attending home matches without an adult after the teenagers allegedly caused trouble at a match against Gretna.
One match – attended by just 106 supporters – had one police officer or steward for every eight fans.
The hooligans set off pyrotechnics at a match against Lothian City and in another incident invaded a McDonald’s restaurant by jumping on to tables and chanting.
On another occasion, they refused to leave Meadowbank stadium in protest after extra stewards were brought in – shouting “all cops are b*******”.
The club, which plays in the East of Scotland Football League, released a statement which said: “Like every other club, Edinburgh City is grateful for the support it receives. However, on more than one occasion recently, the behaviour of some younger fans has fallen short of acceptable standards.”
The additional security, which will be in place at the final two home matches against Gretna and Stirling University, is thought to have cost hundreds of pounds, which the club can ill-afford.
Manager Gary Jardine said: “It’s just a real shame. We’ve always had a really small support but then some kids aged between about 13 and 18 started coming along to games and the numbers grew.
“It’s been two different groups, one from Portobello and one from Musselburgh. In the main they have been great – they let off one of their smoke bombs at one of the matches, the club had a word with them and that stopped. But I think there was then a couple of incidents at a game against Gretna.
“I spoke to the players at training about it and they were really disappointed.”
A source said: “Edinburgh City have attracted a lot of teenagers that call themselves the Ultras. They seem to be basing themselves on the Juventus Ultras because both clubs wear the same colours, black and white.”
But midfielder Dougie Gair wrote on Twitter after under-18s were banned from attending without adults: “Shocking decision whoever has made it! All the boys loved you guys.”
Meadowbank Councillor Alex Lunn said he was “appalled” by the fans’ behaviour, while police confirmed extra officers would be attending matches.
A spokewoman for Edinburgh Leisure, which runs the stadium, said: “We are working closely with the police to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all spectators at Meadowbank.”

Three football fans arrested as Rangers and Celtic under-17s clash
Three football fans have been arrested following an under-17 cup game between Glasgow rivals Celtic and Rangers.
The Glasgow Cup game was played at Partick Thistle’s Firhill Park with more than 6000 fans in attendance.
Seats at the ground were damaged and flares were thrown onto the pitch during the game.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Kick-off was delayed as when players came out items were thrown on to the pitch which caused a significant amount of smoke covering most of the north stand and the surrounding environs.
"In the interest of safety this had to be cleared before the match could kick-off."
One 19-year-old was arrested for a minor assault outside the stadium. Two 17 year olds were arrested inside the stadium for pitch incursion.
All three will be reported to the procurator fiscal.
The police spokeswoman also confirmed that the opening of turnstiles had been delayed prior to the game but this was not a police decision.
Police Scotland also confirmed that they were studying CCTV from the stadium following the disturbances at the game.
Partick Thistle's general manager Ian Maxwell said on Tuesday: "Every year the clubs involved in the Glasgow Cup take their turn at hosting the final – this year was ours. This is done at no cost to the host club.
"Yes, there was damage to the stadium last night - roughly around ten rows of seats covering both sets of fans – and these will have to be replaced. We don’t have a figure for the damage as of yet.
"We will speak with the Glasgow FA about the best way forward to deal with the repair work that has to be carried out."
A spokesman for Rangers said: "It is disappointing that the off-field incidents at the Glasgow Cup Final last night detracted from a good game of football and a terrific result for the Rangers Under 17 team. The club will assist the police with all their inquiries."
A Celtic spokesman issued a statement later on Tuesday, saying: "We are looking into last night's match in more detail, together with all the relevant authorities, and clearly will deal with any issues appropriately."
