Trouble at GSP
Police and APOEL fans clashed prior to Saturday's crucial league football match between APOEL and AEK Larnaca prompting kickoff time to be delayed five minutes. The home supporters battled with police just outside the GSP Stadium and a nearby field caught fire as flares were set off. In response, police fired back tear-gas prompting winds to carry the smoke onto the pitch. Substitutes from both teams retreated back to the changing rooms in a bid to escape the tear gas while fans also struggled to breathe. The referee delayed kickoff time by five minutes. Crowd trouble in the south stand continued into the first half while play was at one point stopped to allow fans onto the pitch to escape more tear gas. Tensions spilled onto the pitch as players on the bench from both sides clashed while AEK coach Ran Ben Shimon was sent to the stands by referee Yiannis Anastasiou. The game ended in a surprise 1-0 victory to AEK after a late goal from Alex da Silva. The final whistle was met with jeers from the home supporters.

The groups consisted of around 10-15 people, while the incident took place in the Borisova Gradina city park, the Sofia Police Directorate announced for FOCUS News Agency. Around 20 football fans were arrested. After searching the detainees the police found knifes, clubs, brass knuckles and others. Levski and CSKA will face each other in the 131st Sofia football derby on Saturday, April 27.

Levski go top in Bulgaria, police arrest 57 rioting fans
Levski Sofia went top of the Bulgarian league on Saturday after Portuguese striker Joao Silva struck in the last minute to snatch a 2-1 win over bitter city rivals CSKA in a match preceded by fan violence.
After the last-gasp victory, which prompted wild celebrations at the Vasil Levski National Stadium, the Blues moved to 55 points from 24 matches, one more than champions Ludogorets who face Botev Vratsa later on Saturday.
CSKA are third in the table with 48 points.
Police arrested 57 fans in connection with violence before the "eternal derby", as games between the two most popular Bulgarian clubs are called, while a young woman was injured and taken to hospital after Levski fans attacked a public transport bus.
The fixture has a long history of crowd violence. A 30-year-old man was killed by a bomb in 2000 and hooliganism and arrests have been rife since.

Wolves Fans Invade Pitch After Burnley Defeat
Hundreds of Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters have invaded the pitch following a 2-1 home defeat to Burnley.
Some fans were seen kicking advertising hoardings and scuffling with stewards. Many were then seen running back towards the stands as a group of police officers moved towards them.
Wolves players were the target of some fans' frustrations, and one photograph showed striker Kevin Doyle being confronted.
The defeat leaves Wolves needing to beat Brighton - while hoping Barnsley and Peterborough both lose their final matches - to stay in football's second-tier.
The club was relegated from the Premier League last season, and could become the first side to drop from the top-flight to English football's third-tier in successive seasons since Swindon Town in 1995.
According to one local newspaper report, dozens of fans were waiting outside the club's Molineux Stadium.
It is the latest outbreak of unrest at English football matches.
A total of 27 people have been arrested in connection with clashes at the FA Cup semi-final between Millwall and Wigan on April 13.
That includes three men who were arrested in early morning raids on Tuesday, and a fourth who handed himself in.

England : Gillingham fans banned from football for three years after pitch invasion - 25/04/2013
Source : http://www.thisiskent.co.uk
Two Gillingham fans have been hit with three-year bans after invading the pitch.
Ryan Kelly, 27, of Trafalgar Street and Leon Cooper, 27, of Linden Road were arrested after running onto the pitch during the Npower League 2 game at Priestfield on Saturday 23 March.
Kelly and Cooper ran onto the pitch during the second half from the Brian Moore Stand and slid on their knees in front of the Rainham End goal.
They were escorted off the pitch by club officials and arrested by Kent Police officers.
Kent Police Football Liason Officer, PC Geoff Greensmith, said: 'When interviewed, both Kelly and Cooper, who were clearly intoxicated when they ran onto the pitch, claimed they were unaware that it was a criminal offence to do so.
'They are clearly now fully aware that it is a criminal offence and hopefully this will send out a message to others that this type of behaviour will not be tolerated. You will be arrested and brought before the courts and face being banned not just from the club you follow, but all football from the top tier of the non-league game upwards.'
Both men admitted the charges at Medway Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 24 April, which means they are now banned from attending any football match for the next three years.
The banning order covers all games from Blue Square South level upwards.

Rotherham United secured promotion to League One on a glorious day at the New York Stadium with victory over Aldershot Town.
Second half goals from Johnny Mullins and Lee Frecklington were all the Millers needed to finish second in League Two after a fantastic finish to the season.
There was a standing ovation and a thunderous one it was too when chairman Tony Stewart went onto the pitch before kick-off to address the crowd.
He thanked everyone for making the season a success it had been and there was a chorus of “there’s only one Tony Stewart” from around the ground.

Source : http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk
PORT Vale fans celebrated promotion in style despite seeing their team denied runners-up spot.
A 1-1 draw at Wycombe meant the Valiants had to settle for third place in the end.
But hundreds of supporters invaded the pitch at the end to hail the achievement of reaching League One.
Most returned to their seats after an appeal by boss Micky Adams and were able to applaud the players who returned for a special celebration on the pitch.
Police received numerous reports from people about the Port Vale supporters, who stopped off for a drink in the town on their way to a game against Wycombe Wanderers.
Kingsbury was taken over by the yobs and minor scuffles were reported to police.
There are also unconfirmed reports of at least one man being glassed.
No one has been arrested as a result of the incident, which took place shortly before 2pm on Saturday.
Following calls to police the fans boarded a coach and continued to Wycombe.
Port Vale dedicated the match to Aylesbury’s Alex Novakovic, to raise money for the appeal to send him to America for life-saving cancer therapy.

Cagliari - Udinese - 27/04/2013

TROUBLES OUTSIDE THE STADIUM, ONE ARREST
One Cagliari supporter, from Treviso, received a stadium ban after he was arrested due to troubles which occured outside the Nereo Rocco before the game against Udinese.
Troubles broke out one hour before the game when a group of Trieste ultras arrived in the city to commemorate one of them who died in 1984 during troubles during a game Triestina-Udinese. It seems everything started when Trieste supporters saw locals, maybe thinking they were Udinese arch-rivals. Police quickly intervened and one Cagliari fan was arrested.

Several troubles occured near the Gerland stadium before this derby game which opposed Lyon to St Etienne, including a severe fight opposing Lyon fans.
The most important troubles broke out near the Ninkasi pub (the local main boozer) and opposed two different Lyon mobs. Iron batons and bottles were used so police intervened and two people were arrested. Other skimishes also erupted where police used pepper sprays and water canon in direction of St Etienne supporters who waited to enter the stadium.
