During the Jesina-Civitanovese match on 17 December, 11 Civitanova ultras were charged for clashes between supporters. From now on, troublemakers will also face the Daspo.

The two fringes of the ultras had come into contact with each other: some Civitanovese supporters brandished sticks, others their belts, and threw themselves at the Jesina fans, their faces also covered by scarves and balaclavas. The clashes were filmed by forensic investigators, who identified all the troublemakers. At the end of the investigation, officers from Jesi police station reported 11 Civitanova fans as fugitives for the offences of violence and resisting a public official, affray, beating, attempted damage and, in the case of only two of them, also for making false statements to a public official.

After the game, a Marseille fan, 30 years old, wore an OM shirt hidden under her jacket, shouted “Go OM” in a tram, between Groupama Stadium and Part-Dieu train station.

When the tram stopped at the “Villette” station, the OM fan was chased outside by a group of Lyon supporters and attacked near rue Paul-Bert. Police officers present at the tram stop were alerted by witnesses, and then set out in pursuit of the alleged perpetrators and arrested one of them.

The OM fan, whose shoulder was still dislocated following this attack, was treated by firemen and transported to Edouard-Herriot hospital. The arrested Lyon fan is 27 years old. He was taken into custody.

Metz supporters attack the police after the game


Dozens of supporters confronted the police on Sunday after the new defeat of FC Metz.

Violent scenes followed FC Metz’s defeat against Lorient, as masked supporters confronted security forces at the Saint-Symphorien stadium.

Frustrations soon came to ahead at the end of the game as the Metz supporters railed against the state of the club. Armed with iron bars and launching pyrotechnics at the police, the gathering fans were heard chanting “the club is ours and not yours.”

Investigation launched following football disorder

During the match a disorder broke out amongst a group of fans inside the stadium, which led to the match having to be paused.

No one was arrested following the disorder and no one injured.

Officers have now launched an investigation into the incident to understand what happened.

Inspector Lisa Hornberger, said: “We deal robustly with anyone that looks to commit offences at football matches, and an investigation into the incident is now taking place.

“We worked closely with Stourport Swifts FC to ensure that the vast majority of home, and away fans, had a safe and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately a minority spoilt that for the majority of fans who attended.”

Hooligans 'attack rival football fans with GOLF CLUBS' after Scottish League Two clash... as police make two arrests after flares and pyrotechnics are thrown onto the pitch

According to The Sun, flares and pyrotechnics were thrown onto the pitch as a brawl been supporters began to break out.

It's alleged that the violent scenes ensued after the final whistle, when several local fans reportedly attacked away supporters with golf clubs.

Police were forced to intervene and later confirmed that two individuals had been arrested following the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 5pm on Saturday, 10 February 2024, police received a report of a disturbance in the London Road area of Stranraer.

Two men aged 48 and 23 were arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
