Following a spate of incidents surrounding Marseille’s trip to Ajaccio on Saturday night, L’Équipe reports that the league authorities have filed a complaint following an attack on a young OM supporter named Kenzo.

The 8-year-old Kenzo has brain cancer and was invited in Corsica, in order to make his “dream” come true to meet the OM players. He was joined by his brother and his two parents. Unfortunately, things turned sour when Ajaccio supporters took aim at Kenzo and his parents. Left bloodied, his face badly wounded and his Marseille shirt stolen, Kenzo has since made the news around the country, with yet another incident of fan violence in France.

As reported previously, the child hit a railing, while the mother was stamped on and the father was punched twice, with the child’s kits being stolen and burnt. Marseille president Pablo Longoria, invited the family into his own hospitality box in order to watch the game safely, after being taken care of by emergency services.

While Ajaccio have since published a statement saying that “these individuals in no way represent the values ​​of our club and of our island” and that “AC Ajaccio will shed full light on these shameful actions”, the club have still not filed a complaint, as explained in a statement by Ajaccio public prosecutor, Nicolas Septe.

The four members of Kenzo’s family are expected to testify on Tuesday, with a medical examination conducted on all four individuals in Marseille. Additionally, the magistrate responsible for the case has ordered that police officers have access to video footage from the Stade Coty of Ajaccio in order to identify the individuals responsible for the assault.

No ticket ? No problem for West Ham fans in Prague for Europa Conference final

Thousands of West Ham United fans descended on Prague on Tuesday ahead of the Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina, filling local pubs and singing in the streets as they celebrated throughout the historic city center.

Prague police called in several hundred officers to patrol the event as they braced for an estimated 20,000 West Ham supporters - many without match tickets - to revel in their team's first European competition final in nearly half a century.

UEFA allotted only 5,780 tickets to each club, leaving legions of supporters unable to attend the match at Slavia Prague's stadium with a capacity set at 18,000 for the final.

West Ham supporter Holly Turbutt hoped for a "miracle" to land a ticket but said she has resigned herself to watching the match in one of the fan zones the city has erected for those unable to get into the stadium.

Police detain 16 after Fiorentina fans attack West Ham supporters



Czech police detained 16 suspects after a group of Fiorentina fans attacked West Ham United supporters, in a bar in central Prague on Wednesday ahead of the Europa Conference League final, injuring three patrons, authorities said.

A police officer was also attacked.

Riot police stormed a group after they lit a second flare, with fans responding by pelting the officers with bottles and missiles.

Seven more men have been given short jail terms and community service for their part in the trouble after AZ lost a key European football match against West Ham last month, taking the total found guilty so far to 14.

A group of AZ supporters tried to storm the main stand after AZ lost the second leg of their semi-final against the English side, and were repelled by West Ham supporters and club officials before the arrival of riot police.

The 14 men, aged between 19 and 45, were all found guilty of attacking either the police or West Ham supporters at fast-track hearings on Wednesday and Tuesday.

Seven of the men were sentenced to 30 days in jail, with part of the prison term suspended and all were given community service varying from 150 to 60 hours. All 14 were also banned from the Afas stadium and its surroundings for two years.

The public prosecutor had called for jail terms of up to nine weeks.

In total, 18 men were arrested after the game and a television appeal for information.

One man will appear in court later because he faces more serious charges and was caught on camera kicking someone repeatedly in the head, the public prosecution department said.

Spanish police announced Friday the arrest of 25 'ultra' fans of FC Barcelona suspected of drug trafficking, kidnapping and murder.



Police seized five guns, several knives, marijuana and €180,000 in raids carried out mainly in Barcelona and its suburbs, Catalan regional police said in a statement.

Those arrested on Friday are all suspected members of “los Casuals”, the most violent faction of FC Barcelona’s notorious Boixos Nois group of “ultra” fans, the statement added.

Several suspected leaders of the group were among those arrested.

The police investigation began in November following a violent attack on a bar popular with “ultras” from FC Barcelona’s cross-town rivals Espanyol in which several people were injured.

The authorities indentified six suspects as part of their investigation into the attack who were later found to belong to “los Casuals”.

The Boixos Nois, who have been banned from FC Barcelona’s stadium, have been the target of police operations in the past.

In 2018 police arrested 14 members for cocaine trafficking.

During a disorder in Piccadilly Gardens, Greater Manchester Police were forced to intervene when rowdy hooligans smashed up one of their patrol vans.

Riot cops with batons were called in to help with the chaos as hundreds carried on the party well into the night.

Catalan police have detained 28 members of a criminal organisation called the ‘Casuals’, 12 of which have been jailed without bail, according to El Pais.



The group have links to the infamous Boixos Nois ultra group which were expelled from Camp Nou by Barcelona. Recently a voice note made it into the public domain, where a leader of the group, Francisco Perez, also known as Paco El Gordo, threatened to stab Espanyol fans that had chased Barcelona players off the pitch at the RCDE Stadium.

On Friday, 28 arrests were made by the Mossos, after a year of bugging Perez’s car. On Monday, 12 were jailed without bail as they await trial for a number of charges, detailed as homicide, drug trafficking, kidnap, threats, bodily harm, organised crime, extorsion and public disturbances. They have also been banned from sporting venues.

The report goes on to detail that ‘Operation Hydra’ did not manage to capture the supposed leader of the group Ricardo Mateo, despite police calling at his house.

Back in 2021, the police gathered more information on members involved in the group following a violent attack on an Espanyol bar. The homicides in question relate to two murders carried out in March and April in Barcelona, with one rival drug trafficker executed, and another person found dead in a car boot.
