After last week’s meeting between the Paris Saint-Germain ultras and the club management led to the suspension of the fan group’s activities until further notice, a new meeting took place on Monday night, according to L’Équipe.

On Monday morning, La Liga announced that they had looked at the footage, and would be enforcing stadium bans on the fans they identified – they will do so with the help of Espanyol, who have condemned the incidents.

It could well result in a stadium ban for Espanyol, although that would be a departure from recent patterns. A West Ham fan has been celebrated for fighting back a horde of hooded AZ Alkmaar thugs attacking supporters last night.

The brave Briton, known to fellow supporters as 'Knollsy', can be seen holding off the Dutch hooligans at the top of a set of stairs as they attempt to flood into the seating of the family stand.

The chaotic scenes came at West Ham's Europa Conference League semi-final win over AZ Alkmaar, which descended into carnage with players climbing into the crowd after Dutch supporters attacked a section of visiting supporters - where many of the athletes' loved ones were sitting.

Footage shows the heroic Hammer bravely standing at the top of a set of stairs holding back the crowd.

Swinging punches, initially he stands alone against the crowd as dozens of hooded thugs attempt to flood the stand.

With swinging fists and grappling with a man in a green top, he blocks their route up and they crowd the concourse below.

He is soon joined by another fan, who kicks down at the mass below.





Two other WHU fans were honored for holding the stairs together against the Dutch thugs.
