Source: ITK
Here is an Oldham view:
Arrived in Huddersfield at about 12.only about 5 mins after getting there, huddersfield emerge from the subway and attack the grove pub about 40 handed. oldham emerge from pub and steam straight into hudds mob. the first few get put on there arse before the rest get run straight back into the town centre. no police to be seen but hudds dont want to continue it. next minute police arrive in force and the rest of the day is then fucked. all put on a bus to ground.police heavy handed after match baton charging everyone after another set to near the by pass. few normals got lifted including a woman who got kicked to fuck by 8 brave policemen. Not a bad way to end the season really.

Shrewsbury fans attack York ones - 03/05/2003
Source: Yorkshire Evening Press
There was only about 10 York and around 30 Shrews, but fair play to them for their efforts... A man needed hospital treatment for head injuries after clashes between rival football fans at a York pub. A group of about 20 York City supporters were among drinkers at the Old White Swan pub, in Goodramgate, when they were attacked by about the same number of Shrewsbury supporters at about 8pm on Saturday. Eyewitnesses said the two groups threw bottles at each other and punches were thrown. A number of drinkers were evacuated as the Shrewsbury fans tried to get in. One witness said "A few managed to get in and a couple of the York fans got punched. They didn't attack the landlord though, or hit anyone who wasn't with the York fans." York police liasion officer Paul Maloney said 10 officers attended the scene. "By the time we got there things had quietened down," he said. "It would appear there was fighting between fans and in the course of it some property was damaged." It is believed up to three vans full of Shrewsbury fans had stopped off in York following their game against Hartlepool. PC Maloney said they were investigating allegations of assault and criminal damage. A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said at least one person was taken to hospital with head injuries. "It appeared that he had been glassed," she said. "Our control room received quite a number of calls from the pub. There could have been more people who went to hospital of their own accord."

Middlesborough - Tottenham Hotspurs - 04/05/2003

Here is a local view:
Yesterdays match saw the worse trouble "EVER" at the Riverside. At 3-0 down Thugs( I won't call them fans)where seen in various parts of the Spurs fans stand stand up and make calls on their mobiles. Large groups surrounding these thugs then proceeded to go down to the concourse area. They then ran at 3 Police officers and 1 Steward manning the emergency exit door. Their goal to leave the ground and cause trouble outside. This resulted in batons being drawn and fighting ensuing. This did not deter the thugs who fought with 3 Police officers and a Steward. 200- 4 not evened out so the Police officers in Riot gear entered more fighting. I was such in it along with more stewards but we had to escape(I admit I was terrified, even more than the Leeds match last season). Witnessing Police Officers getting hurt by mindless thugs. It was a bloodbath. The fans were let out as even the dogs didn't deter them. But thinking they'd escaped they were wrong. The Police had created a horseshoe cordon outside made up of dogs. Riot Police, vans and Mounted Police. The Thugs were then picked off one by one and put in the vans. They thugs still inside then were heard threatened to invade the pitch at half time to get the match abandoned, hence the large police/steward presence pitchside. At last count the steward (A friend of mine Ken)recieved a arm injury from being kicked whilst curled up on the floor to protect himself, 3 thugs in hospital(1 serious) and 4 police officers injured. According to Football Intelligence these were NOT Spurs Fans but part of Englands Hardcore Element practising for the England Match. Luckily the F.I.U had intelligence on this before the game but 500 still managed to get to Darlington undetected and cause troublt there on the the way to Boro. If this was we are to expect on June 11th then we will definately be played the game at Leicester behind closed doors. This people are idiots and don't deserve to call themselves fans. I disagreed on Rob's Violence thread but retract my statement after the events I witnessed yesterday

La Louvière - RSC Charleroi - 10/05/2003
Source: mail
For this 'high risks classical derby', Charleroi lads has a good turned out, with about 60 lads. Prior to the game, they tried to attack the pub of local Wolf-siders but as these last ones were not in large number they left the pub and visitors stayed there. At the end of the game, Charleroi ultras threw firecrackers into the pitch and lads forced fences and entered a neutral zone which separated both sides. Locals refused any contacts and gendarms restored order. Outside the stadium, visitors tried to attack the pub for the 2nd time but they were catched by police. Only 8 CH top lads arrived in front of 20/25 locals who refused a fight. One of them lied on the floor and 2 visitors were arrested.
CH-lads entered the neutral zone

A PSG fan view:
At 5pm about 20 Parisians (Karsud and Boys) stayed in the Bellecour Place. A phonecall between both sides and Parisians proposed an off with 20/30 locals...At 6pm, no locals are there. A this time, the visitor group (30 ultras and no lads) took to road of the local pub (called Ninkasi). When were arrived at the pub, they are 90/100 in front of us. A fight took place... belts and bottles were used...French CRS made an intervention. It must be noticed both sides stayed their positions... After the game, the leader of the local group called Nucleo was attacked by Parisians.
Here is a Lyon fan view:
During the journey we were looking for Parisians. After that, we were about 100 in front of our pub. We we know Parisians were there, 40 locals moved from the pub and a fight took place, with some old faces. Many belts were used. During the fight, both firms stayed their positions...We are a little bit disappointed because you stayed in your positions. We were 80/90 against 30/35...Police forces restored order...About 10 locals were arrested...Congratulations to the Parisians who were on top.

Cardiff vs Bristol fans: Rival fans in platform violence - 04/05/2003
Source: BBC
Football supporters travelling home to Bristol and Cardiff had to be separated by police after violence broke out at a railway station.
Cardiff City and Bristol Rovers fans clashed on the platform at Cheltenham on Saturday evening as they travelled home after attending away matches in Crewe and Kidderminster.
British Transport Police say about 150 Rovers fans were waiting for a connection to Bristol when a train carrying about 30 Cardiff supporters pulled in at 1910 BST.
When violence flared damage was done to the train carriages and some people suffered minor injuries.
A second train - with the rival supporters at either end - had to be laid on to take both groups to their final destinations under police supervision.
Police say there was no trouble on subsequent trains with Bristol Rovers and Cardiff supporters on board.
They are appealing for witnesses to the fracas in Cheltenham.

Hearts to ban all fans from seats in trouble stand - 17/05/2003
Source: http://edinburghnews.scotsman.com
HEARTS are to close off more than 1000 seats in a notorious section of their stadium’s Main Stand next season in a bid to stamp out crowd trouble.
Hundreds of season ticket holders have been told they will have to find seats elsewhere if they wish to continue to attend home games.
Club chiefs have taken the extreme action after a season of shocking behaviour and regular acts of vandalism caused by a small group of fans seated in the lower tier of the stand just yards from the section allocated to visiting supporters.
The Tynecastle board has stopped selling season tickets in the N1 and N2 sections of the Main Stand because of the "astronomical" stewarding costs needed to police the area, which has also been subjected to thousands of pounds of damage from home supporters.
The club is so determined to put a stop to the growing number of troublemakers paying to get into the stand solely to taunt and threaten rival fans, it is prepared to close it completely and lose hundreds of thousands of pounds in potential revenue.
Hearts chief executive Chris Robinson said he was not prepared to discuss the issue with Evening News, but admitted it had been a source of "problems" this season and that the club had alternative plans for the section. "The club has taken a decision because the most important thing for us is the safety and security of our supporters and this is a safety and security issue," he said.
However, season ticket holders in the enclosure have accused the club of punishing loyal, well-behaved fans for the crimes of a handful of yobs.
Season ticket holder Craig Graham said he was angered that all the supporters were being tarred with the same brush .
The 31-year-old web developer said: "Because of about 30 teenagers, the whole section is being punished. There’s an element of young casuals giving back as good as they get to away fans, but that’s not everyone, and we’re all being banned. Most of the seats in that section are season tickets so why can’t they get cameras on the people causing the problems, get their names and addresses and ban them?"
Robin Beith, vice-president of the Federation of Hearts Supporters Clubs, said the section had become a big problem, especially at Celtic and Hibs games.
He added : "I’ve been confused as to what the stewards have been doing given the degree of misbehaviour there and there is always an overt presence of police.
"I’ve been in the main stand and looked down at that section which seems to be a congregation point for people who want to cause trouble. I’ve even seen people wearing Rangers scarves at a Hearts v Celtic games."
Casual crews such as the CCS (Capital City Service), who were linked to Hibs, and the CSF (Casual Soccer Firm), linked to Hearts, caused violence in the 80s and 90s, but the problem seemed to disappear as those involved grew older.
But senior police officers said earlier this year that there had been a resurgence in Hearts casuals, fuelled by the older hooligans teaming up with younger thugs.
In April, police thwarted plans for an organised fight between rival Hearts and Celtic gangs in the Balgreen area of Edinburgh after a tip-off. Lothian and Borders officers arrived in large numbers to escort the casuals to Tynecastle stadium, leaving the hooligans restricted to taunting rival supporters with Nazi salutes and obscenities. Five people were later arrested at the game and ten were thrown out of the ground for threatening behaviour.
The arrests were made as police and football club bosses in the city have moved to stem a rising generation of football "casuals".
A police spokesman said safety and security advice was given to the club on match days on public order issues, but that the police had nothing to do with closing parts of the stadium. He added: "It is entirely up to the club how it implements its ticket policies."
